A wonderful hotel with a breathtaking view of the pool, ocean and beach. Easy to find a parking spot, and within walking distance of the old city (5-10 mins) on the promenade overlooking the sea. Good breakfast, clean rooms, nice airconditioning, clean pool. Absolutely nothing to complain about - would definitely stay there again.

27 March 2009
Stayed two nites in March 2008.
Room rather small but adequate. Had small balcony. Bathroom nicely renovated, bedroom with rather old furniture.
Buffet breakfast was good with very helpful staff.
Location of hotel is on a hill not too far from the center of city.
Hotel has four stars but in my opinion should have just three.

Stayed for 4 days in May, weather was not great but cannot say one complaint about the hotel. Staff were lovely. Hotel was clean and had champagne and fruit in my room when we arrived as it was my birthday. Would not recommend the lunch, lunch in town is a lot better. Going back for sure later in the year.

compared to other 4 star hotels it rates very badly.the rooms do not have a dressing table and only one chair no table in the room and poor quality terrace furniture.I can not see how this hotel as rated 4 star. The reception staff are very good however.

This is the 2nd time that I have stayed here. The rooms are great and the seaview is a must. Pool area is quiet and the hotel is ideally situated for walking to the old town of Albufeira. Taxi back is only €4.00. Highly recommended and I will stay here again

Me and my boyfriend have just got back from staying at the boa vista and i must say i was very impressed with our room. We payed extra for a sea veiw which i would highley recommend, the veiw was fantastic. Our room was very spacious and quite modern and very clean. The bathroom was lovely too. We only visited the pool once and it was ok but we preferred it at the beach! But overall we was very impressed and would deffantley consider staying there again!!

My husband & I stayed at the Boa Vista May 2006, The Hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly, The Hotel could do with a refurb and the pool area needs to be made a bit more apealing the loungers were very old and need to be replaced. Also the bar area was not that apealing. The breakfast was more than adequate. The plus side of this hotel is that the view from the terrace was absoulutley fantastic!!

from the minute we arrived which was very late due to hold up in london we were made very welcome. the hotel is very well run although they could do with more hot dish containers at the breakfast buffet.the pool and terraced area give a great view as does the restaurant on the fifth floor. the rooms were always clean and fresh towels supplied daily overall a very good holiday was enjoyed.

10 July 2005
Just returned from staying at the Boavista. We found all the staff to be friendly and helpfull (especially when we had a problem with our Hire Car and needed a new tyre! Hire Company nothing to do with the Hotel). Facilities were very good, although we didn't stay in a suite with jacuzi, so cannot comment on that. The pool and terrace area were clean and background music was played from the bar area. It may just have been a quiet two weeks, but not many people used the pool, so getting a sunbed at any time of day was easy (no need to put towels on beds at dawn!) We had a standard twin room on the fourth floor and the balcony overlooked the whole bay of Albufeira, giving a fantastic view. A daily maid service ensured the room was kept clean and towels etc changed daily. The twin beds were together but not central to the room, making the floor area in front of the wardrobes narrow and only one person at a time could go there. There was lots of space in the rest of the room. Overall, the Hotel was quiet and comfortable. The only drawback is the actual location of the Hotel. It is not far from the resort centre or beach, but it is at the top of a very large hill. Going down on foot isn't too bad, but coming back is a very different story! If you are not very mobile you will have to get a taxi or bus each trip to and from the centre or beach. One last note, the footpaths in the resort are made from small cobble stones, many of which have been worn down to a 'shiny' surface. We often slipped when walking along pathways, so be warned!
