Great Hotel, Great Location. Have stayed at this hotel more times than I can count and it's always a thumbs up. Rooms can be a little small, but it's London. Give this one a go if you are planning to be in London.

A very good hotel for the price,it was excellent value close to all amenities underground, busses etc room was a bit small but the staff were warm and friendly, bar and food prices were less than I expected for London. All in all we had a great weekend, the Blakemore was a great base from which to see the sites

room was pretty basic with a shower suitable for those under 5"5 and no bath.I booked a double room standard and I got two single beds for myself and herself! The brekfast was very nice and had a good selection however it cost 15 quid each for the hot food and 9 for the continental. On the plus side it is very central and close to bus and tubes that bring you straight into city centre.staff were great and hotel was pretty clean.Overall value for money.

we booked in here for the foo fighters gig at hyde park, short walk from there, nice, clean and modern hotel, although the standard rooms are a bit threadbare and in need of modernisation.
we paid £77 for double room inc. continental breakfast which i am told is good for London.
bathroom was a bit small and it was disappointing to have 3 single beds instead of the double that i thought we would get (it's at the hotels discretion whether you get a double or twin room) but it didn't mar my first overnight stay in london and we really enjoyed it.

The lobby reception area and bar suggest an excellent hotel.  However, the room allocated was basic and was of a standard  one would expect for budget school trips rather than a three star hotel.  For example the twin room had three single beds: the wash hand basin was in the room rather than the en-suite bathroom.  The bathroom (and bath) was very small.

The buffet style cooked breakfast was disappointing as it was lukewarm - perhaps the one day we ate there was an abberation. The other day we breakfasted at a local cafe at a modest price.

Covenient location for Queensway, Bayswater, Hyde Park and Oxford Street (by bus)

Definitely good value for that area. Friendly staff, clean room, good breakfast.  On the top floor (5th) the water pressure does not allow to take a shower.

I got a late deal through Alpha Rooms - £42.00 for a single room on a Saturday night in Central London - so I was expecting very basic accommodation. I was pleasantly surprised by the Blakemore. It was very clean, a nicely sized room (although the bed was very 'single') with a good size bathroom and shower, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and multi-channel tv. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again at these prices. Reasonably handy for tubes although Queensway is closed until May 2006, and for shops and restaurants.

Review of 'BLAKEMORE' Bayswater.

I have now stayed at this hotel several times and have always found the service to be very good.  The hotel is very well decorated and clean.  The location is great for either the London business traveler or visitor.  It is so very easy to get to the hotel by either tube or bus.  I will coninue to use the hotel, whenever I need to return to London and would also reccommend it to friends.  If you intend to visit London, try this one.

Good location only less than 10 minutes walk to Bayswater tube and the Whiteleys shopping complex.

Reception very pleasant and staff helpful on arrival.

Room very small but for one night and the price I paid it was not a problem. Bathroom clean but again very small - rather a tight squeeze to get in the bathroom. Plenty of towels however and clean sanitaryware.

No breakfast included but because its only a short walk to the shops there ae plenty of small cafes to go to in the morning including a nice French patissserie for croissants on Queensway on the way to the Baywater tube.

Lovely clean and comfortable hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful.  Nice bar in which it was extemely easy to have some stimulating conversations with other guests from all over the world. Finally, close enough to walk to Paddington, Bayswater, Lancaster stations and of course very near to Hyde Park.
