We stayed in this hotel during July - no air con was a proble as it was very hot. The breakfast was good. The bar was never crowded - nice after a hot day. When on the balcony could look into the apartment which shared the other half. The shower was adequate for a couple as was the room. The only complaint was that the room backed onto the lift shaft, which made the room very noisy.

Only stayed one night. Location good near beach and not too far from old centre. Room/hotel very clean but rooms and beds very small and walls very thin. Early flight so missed breakfast. Wouldn't have wanted to stay more than a couple of nights due to size of room. Definitely couldn't swing a cat!!

If you are travelling by car to the Betania, make sure you get a detailed map to find it. It is on a one way system that starts no where near the hotel, however we had a good look around the resort before we found it!!!! It is near to the burgandy castle about 100 yards from the sea front. Yes the rooms are small, but are probably equivalent to the English comparison in Blackpool or Scarborough. However the rooms were very clean, like the rest of the hotel and cleaned daily with fresh towels. Showers are small, as you catch the shower curtain with your anatomy and water goes everywhere. The staff are very friendly and also speak very good English, in fact one of the lads is from Barnsley. Pool is very small and more of a cooling down dip than anything else. Breakfast is OK, spam bacon, hot dog sausages and fried egg or continental. I would say it is more of a couples hotel than a family summer holiday hotel. But we thought for a 2 star it was a very good standard and very pleasant. Don't forget, you only get what you pay for, if you want top notch accomadation then pay the extra money, if you want somewhere to sleep and get changed, that has no frills then this is the place. We had a great holiday as a group and would stay here again out of season.

'Betania'..Clean, Tidy and Good Value

Clean, tidy and well kept. Set back up a slight hill 2 mins walk from the front..Its nice and quite at night but well within reach of the bars and clubs..Rooms are very small..also have low wattage bulbs so can be a problem when getting ready at night.. Staff are very friendly and speak good english. We would stay here again without any hesitation. There is no bar at the hotel and a small restraunt with limited opening times and menu...we didnt eat in the hotel but the food smelt great !!!

First impression of Betania was lovely Spanish style hotel in very nice location. Spotless clean and looking quite new, initially we were very pleased. This changed when we opened our door on the 5th Floor - very, very small! In fact this is THE pokiest room we have ever stayed in and we have been to many different grades of accomodations and locations. No air conditioning and shared balcony made us use the room literally for showering (in very small room!) and sleeping. Breakfast not very inspiring, and evening meal looked like canteen food but didnt bother us as we ate out all the time. This hotel was overpriced for its size and facilities

the hotel is clean the staff are friendly and helpfu,the decor is fresh and bright.the rooms however are very small with hardly room to open the door to the minimal balcony.we did not eat at the hotel but found the maid service to be of a good standard.
