Best Western Shaftesbury Kensington

The hotel was very well positioned with several restaurants near by and within 1 minutes walk from earls court tube station. The room though small was very clean and very well equipt and all staff were frendly.
The restaurant however was somewhat limiting as the entire menu consisted of middle eastern dishes and the bar was located in the restaurant so even though drinks were avalable there was no bar .

When we arrived the reception were friendly and helpful and our room although compact was very clean and freshly decorated, the bathroom was spotless as was the bed linen.  Anyone can see it is a hotel with major renovations going on so obviously there are things that are not 100%, but people should understand that there will be things that are not finished off etc., the only thing we had an issue over was there was no hairdryer in the room, when my husband asked at the reception it took about an hour to get someone to fix this problem, an explanation of them waiting for someone to fix the hairdryer in the drawer would have been acceptable instead of waiting for a porter to deliver a hairdryer to the room.  Other than that I would definitely return to this hotel again and would have no hesitation in recommonding it and Alpharooms to anyone.  We are in the tourism business ourselves and are probably a bit more critical than your average tourist.
