Best Western Mardi Gras review

21 May 2008
The hotel turned out better then expected. Just off the strip but close to everything with the free shuttle and very close to the bus and monorail. The rooms are large and clean, if you don't look under the bed. The staff is very friendly unless you call to confirm your non smoking room. They are unable to reserve this for you in advance. Even if you book 4 months in advance. It's all up in the air until you arrive, unless you don't book through a third party. The price is right and the pool area is great on a plus 40 day. But the casino and restaurant are very smoky, but that is the same for every hotel in Vegas.

Mardi Gras Hotel Review

08 April 2008
Lovely hotel in a great location not on the strip but just off. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel runs a free shuttle bus to the strip every hour and also to the airport. The monorail is only 350m away, at the Covention Centre which is useful. The rooms are clean and spacious with everything you would want for a stay in Vegas. But as with some Best Western does not have kitchen facilities only a fridge and coffee maker. The location of the hotel is perfect. If you are staying in Vegas, or know you don't want to spend all the time in a hotel then this is the place to stay, as you cannot hear any noise from the casino or bar in the hotel once in your room. I look forward to returning.

Review of 'Mardi Gras Hotel and Casino'

27 November 2006
Lovely little hotel in a great location!  The staff were very friendly and helpful with a good knowledge of tours and local attractions.  The hotel also runs a free shuttle bus to the strip every hour (the monorail is only 350m away if you prefer!) which is very useful.
The rooms are clean and spacious with everything you would want for a stay in Vegas.  The location of the hotel is perfect- far enough away to give you some 'space' from the noise and lights of the strip, close enough to access the best areas of it within minutes!
If you are 'doing Vegas' on a budget, or know you dont want to spend 24/7 in a hotel then this is the place to stay! I look forward to returning!  Thanks to alpharooms for the great price and recommendation!

Review of 'MARDI GRAS & CASINO'

21 May 2006
The Mardi Gras and Casino is worth considering if you are on a budget.  This 70’s hotel could to with refurbishing, however the rooms are clean and spacious, comprising two double beds and a kitchen area with a fridge. Bath and hand towels along with a flannel are provided.
The staff are friendly and helpful, the breakfast are quite good and cost about six or seven dollars. Give evening meals a miss, service was slow and eating in the bar area mean it can be quite smoky. If you turn left out of the hotel front door there are a collection of very good restaurants down the road, staff are happy to advise.
There is and hourly shuttle bus service to Ballys hotel in the middle of the strip. You can walk to the Treasure Island area of the strip in about 25 minutes if you are reasonably fit and its not too hot! The monorail is expensive ($5) wether you travel one stop or from start to finish.

Review of 'MARDI GRAS & CASINO'

11 April 2006
stayed  5  nights in the  mardi gras , each room is  like an apartment  , , with 2  large  beds  , , and  fitted with a  kitchen , basic , but  has the all essential fridge, and a  bath with shower  , the  decor  is not new  , but  was pleasant  , and a good base to get around ,room was cleaned daily as were the sheets, the pool was fine,  and the bar wasvery good , the menu  was a bit limited  , but  as  vegas is about  eating out this  was not  crucial, the staff were all  helpful ,freindly and they  provided a free  bus  service to the  airport  , and to ballys on the strip, which is about  half  mile away  , but can also be accessed  by a free shuttle  bus from  the wynn  hotels back entrance  , opposite the  monorail station  , 200 yards away  , so  cutting the cost of getting about ,overall was pleasant , and very good  value  , ceasars palace its  not  , but thats not always a bad thing
