When we checked into this hotel, we were given a room which resembled a prison cell opposite the lift. Our teenage children's room stank of smoke so we asked for them to be moved. they spent one night in a completely different part of the hotel and we were moved into a superior room, nearer to them, the next day. What a difference - the room was very spacious and comfortable with a much better bathroom. The hotel staff were always helpful and the breakfast excellent. I would advise anyone staying here to book a superior room. The standard rooms are nothing approaching 4* standard. All in all a very pleasant stayin the end, in a nice central and very safe area of Paris.
