The Best Western Ashling hotel is situated beside the River Liffey, just minutes from Dublin city centre. Within walking distance are some of the capital's most famous sights including the National Museum, Guinness Brewery, Temple Bar and Old Jameson Distillery in Smithfield. The Ashlilng is adjacent to Heuston Inter City Rail Station. The hotels Cobblestones Bistro serves the finest food, from a Full Irish Breakfast, through to delicious carvery lunches and candlelit evening dinners. The Guinness Lounge is popular with travellers and locals and is perfect for a drink or light snack. All of the rooms at the Best Western Ashling Hotel feature a range of modern comforts including tea/coffee making facilities. PLEASE NOTE: From 14th January 2008 (for approximately 12 months) the older part of the Ashling Hotel on Parkgate Street will be undergoing building works. During this time the hotel entrance will be accessed from Montpelier Hill at the rear of Parkgate Street. The Cobblestones Bistro and Guinness Lounge bar will also be operating from here. Any disturbance or disruptions will be kept to an absolute minimum.

This hotel is ideally located if you want to have fun in the city! We went for the shopping and the Guinness we were not disappointed! The hotel was ideally located by the tram line so we used that to get into Temple Bar and a taxi only cost 7 euro! This was where all the really good bars and places to eat are. Try Gallaghers for an amazing traditional irish meal! If you want to walk into town it only takes 20 minutes. The hotel itself was clean and the breakfast was really good. The only fault we had was that with all the refurbishments they were doing in the old part of the hotel it made it very noisy as our room overlooked the building site. Not good with a hangover at 8am!!!!!! Overall an amazing stay and would def recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in this amazing city, we will def be coming back!!!!
