Best Benalmadena is just what it says
31 May 2008
My daughter (adult) and I stayed at this hotel for 5 days from 25th May. We arrived just in time for lunch, our room was ready, had a sea view on floor 5. Room was very well furnished, 2 large beds, nice balcony, beautiful views, only downside for me was that they had no a/c until the 30th of May, we kept the balcony door open when we were in the room, not a big deal but had it been any warmer then it would have been. For some reason, bathroom became quite smelly during the night, door best kept closed!!maid service good.
Reception staff were very helpful,
also spoke very good english.
Food was adequate, plenty of choice, full botles of wine, water etc were brought to the table. Clientele were mostly elderly Spanish, a few families but that was not a problem, we just wanted a quiet break. Gardens were very well kept, I would say there were plenty of sunbeds, never had a problem getting one.
Entertainment was all in Spanish, but they seemed to try and involve everyone. Maybe the hotel could take this in to consideration and cater a bit more for English speaking guests.
Overall an enjoyable stay, thanks alpharooms for our requests being passed to hotel.

we arrived to this hotel after a long delayed flight to be greeted with a
friendly smile from a guy called david. He was warm and helpful. The Hotel was beautiful and the only complaint we had was the morning after we arrived we missed breakfast and being all inclusive we thought we could have a snack in the bar. Unfortunately the lady behind the bar told us we could only have pastries. We later found out we could have had sandwiches, pizza ect.
Beautiful veiw sea veiw from our room, food great and fab value for money.

only ok
18 June 2007
we arrived at the hotel at lunchtime and waited 20 minutes to be given our keys etc as lots of people had arrived at once,we were on the 6th floor at the side of the hotel with views over the sea and resort, the room was spacious and spotlessly clean although the bathroom smelled of drains which was very unplesant, the room was cleaned on a daily basis and the towels also changed daily, bedlinen was changed in the middle of the week, the room has a safe which costs 16 euros to hire for the week it also has a fridge which you can use to put your own drinks etc in.
The average age of the other guests was mid 70's and mainly spainish, some german people and a few english people but this suited us fine,be advised to get your towel out before breakfast or you stand NO chance of getting a sun bed the hotel asks you not to but as everyone else does it you really have to,the pool area is pleasant the pool is small and freezing but fine there is no natural shade in the gardens and there are not that many parasols, in the middle of summer there wouldn't be enough beds either and it's not a big area so would be really cramped.
we were half board but deceided to swap our evening meal for lunch,as the food was not great, the restaurant was like a canteen lots of choice but really not great.
The hotel is about a fifteen minute bus ride to the marina which has lots of restarants and bars and is very nice this is where we ate at night.
Overall the hotel is ok,its not geat and we wouldn't go back, but we still had a nice holiday

very good hotel.
29 April 2007
travelled to this hotel late April for a short 4 day break. We found the standards for food , facilities , location etc to meet all our asperations . Well presented rooms with a magnificient view over the med. At breakfast the choice and amount of food served buffet style had to be seen to be believed . A short walk took you to a variety of restaurants ranging from burger and chips ( if you like ) to fantastic fresh fish restaurants serving the catch of the day . All in all we enjoyed the Best Benalmadena and would not hesitate returning .

This hotel could not be faulted. The staff on reception were friendly on arrival and our room was modern and comfortable with a sea view from the front and side of the balcony. The dining room staff were also excellent and served us with drinks as soon as we were seated. On all inclusive you are given a bottle of wine rather than a glass with your meal and the Red was a good quality Rioja. There was a good choice of food at every mealtime. The entertainment was geared towards the spanish guests who outnumbered English, although there were other nationalities there too. This made an interesting quiz night as some spanish guests were singing along to the music questions that we had never heard and vice versa. The weather was mixed, it was late March, early April. The taxi transfer cost 20 euro. I would recommend Alpha Rooms once again as there were no problems with our booking and we had an extremely good room allocated.

Really comfortable hotel. good base for a march break. Food delicious with many choices and a chef in the dining room cooking steaks, fish etc. while you wait. Situated next to beach with a lovely view over the sea. Only down side we experienced was that our room was next to the lift, which kept us awake ther first night.

i booked this hotel for my mother and father in law who are in thier mid 60s as the father in law was recovering after a knee operation.they have been on previous holidays with thomson ans gone on "platinum" deals but have never been through alpharooms.the hotel was better than anything they have stayed in before.they were all inclusive and the food and drink was exceptional.they have not been on all inclusive before but would book this board type again.the hotel was very clean, bedrooms excellent with two very big double beds and had a room that overlooked the sea front.they recieved excellent service from the hotel reception with things to do and the booking of taxis.they enjoyed plenty of walks along the sea front and into the nearby centre.they would have paid double the price for this hotel through a travel agent and would certainly book through alpharooms again.i am on my alparooms holiday in sept to majorca and will submit hopefully another excellent review of my trip.

only 2o minutes in a cab from malaga airport we were pleased to find a recently built very clean and spacious hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are large compared to most hotels we have used in spain with two queen size beds.Meals are good with plenty of choice including fresh meat and fish griddle cooked while you wait each evening.the hotel is right on the coast and about a 10 minute stroll to local shops bars and restaurants also a bus stop right outside for local round robin tour bus and buses to other local resorts. We spent avery quiet and relaxing week at this hotel, first week in May.

Review of 'BEST BENALMADENA'
20 July 2005
We stayed for 7 nights and found the hotel lived up to the write-ups. It was spacious and clean and the bedroom was wewll laid out and comfortable and the maids were extremely efficient and good, probably the best we have come across. Food was good and varied - no compaints here. The construction on the seaward side of the hotel is virtually complete, but at no time was there any form of disturbance and we were on the 1st floor. Very cramped at the swimming pool so we tended to use the beach about 80 metres away. The air conditioning in the room could not be controlled separately and really could have been a lot cooler - outside temperatures were up to 40c. Parking is a severe problem, with limited available in an underground car park, but should be booked in advance. We had to park on waste ground opposite the hotel and at times this was a real problem. Although the reception staff were polite, they were not as helpful as they could have been. We were put on a waiting list for a parking space @ 10 euros per day and after 4 days we noticed spaces were available, but we could not be found on the waiting list. The following day we were up at 7.00am and noticed the car park only had a few vehicles in it, but when we spoke to reception were told they had been reserved for other guests. Probably 90% of guests were Spanish, so this may be reason that parking was not available, so if you do use this hotel and you have a car, make sure parking is booked in advance.

Initially booked to stay for 5 days but extended to 10 at the end of May. Only wanted Half Board but ended up with Fully Inclusive. The hotel was immaculate, the rooms clean and well kept, with maid service daily. With Jaccusi, Steam Room, Saunas and fully fitted gym, plus other activities, their was plenty to do during the day. The choice available at meal times was very good and the food well prepared. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Although the Hotel was on the outskirts of Benalmadena, the bus stop was outside the hotel and for 1 euro you could go as far as malaga, via benalmadena and torremilinos in one direction or marbella the other. There were other shops, bars etc within a short walk of the Hotel. The only down point was on the seaward side of the hotel. They are building a promenade at the moment, although not much noise, the dust created when the wind was blowing was a nuisance. However this should not be too long to completion. All in all, a highly recommended hotel.

Review of 'BEST BENALMADENA'
03 May 2005
4 of us stayed in x 2 rooms at the Best Benalmadena between 14-21st April.
As I had booked the holiday I was nervous of what to expect and hoped the hotel lived upto expectations! As soon as we had the hotel in view from our taxi I had the feeling I wasnt going to be lynched by the rest of the party!!
On booking in myself and my Fiance were upgraded to a suite which was a good way to start the holiday and things just kept getting better!! - The hotel is very clean and the maids superb (even folding up clothes I left lying around the room i'm ashamed to say!!. The food on the buffet was not as hot as it could have been but just round the corner of the dining room is a chef who will prepare fish/meat etc on a hot plate but we only noticed this after 3 days and as we were only in the hotel for 7 we were a bit peeved to say the least that we had eaten cold food when we could have had it as hot as we wanted!! - That was our fault though and not the hotels!! the position of the hotel is fantastic overlooking the sea and, although its a 30min walk to the marina, it gives you chance to walk off the food and the bottle of wine or 3. If I did have one gripe it was that the lifts seemed to take an age to arrive and would imagine a lot of frustrated people in the height of summer!! Nightime entertainment we thought poor except the flamenco dancers who were superb!! Would think that entertainment would be fine though for the slightly older person although is mainly in Spanish.
Pool is lovely and bar staff very helpful if not a bit over eager to accept tips by hovering over you whilst you try to blow the froth off a glistening pint of San Miguel.
Spa and sauna excellent but beware in spa as spanish kids think its fun to do a ruinning bomb in tub when your gently relaxing in bubble heaven. A stern look and a movement which relates to dangling them off the tenth floor by their toe nails seems to calm them down.
Would definitely go back and strongly recommend this hotel and it is well worth its 4*.
One last point. Use phone in lobby and not in room as 1 euro in lobby lasted I think for four minutes.
If you do book this hotel I am sure you will not be disappointed!!
