We have just returned from a super holiday in Calella. The hotel was excellent. Food and service was very good and the evening entertainment a credit to the hotel particularly for children of all ages. Reception staff were very helpful.
Calella was a good place to stay. We recommend that you take advantage of visiting the olympic pool. The only negative we found is that the man made beach made a it quite difficult to get in and out of the sea because of the steep incline and the current was quite strong when swimming out some distance. However there was a lovely sea breeze, no sticky sand! and plenty of things to do for the children on the beach.
Marineland is definately worth a visit as is Barcelona - great train journey along the coast for only 3 euros each!
