We have stayed at the Bermudas for 2 years. They are more like studios than apartments and as everyone says they are very basic. However, they are clean and tidy and I can honestly say we have never encountered bugs of any kind in the rooms. The towels are changed daily and the staff are always friendly. These are suitable for young or old alike who want to be within a short distance of bars and shops but don't want to be right in the heart of it all. I would certainly book this accommodation again.

Bermudas Review

15 July 2008
Booked this hotel expecting the worst!! But as it was a group of 4 lads we didn't anticipate spending much time in the room. To be honest, pleasantly surprised! The rooms are basic but clean, all the staff are friendly, the hotel is in a good location next to some good food pubs. No sign of any bugs, everything worked, decor dated but for a 2 star and the price it was value for money. Don't go expecting luxury, however, have an open mind and you will be happy.

A basic apartment to base your holiday from. The thing that sets it apart is the very friendly & helpful staff. Nothing was to much trouble. I'd say excellent value for money. I would definatly stay there again.

I always book basic accomadation and have always been pleased,I am not one to moan as I know they are always basic ,but lets get this out the way first . Cover on the bed was clean but looked like it had been bleach stains on, settee had a large rip in it, cooker rings worked but not the grill, stayed 8 days and 4 of these we had cockroaches as guests at night. the good things are the rooms were cleaned every day and clean towels, studio big enough, pool area large and sun on it from 11am- 8pm.,bar prices good, Don't let this put you off as not all rooms are nessesary the same. I have booked with alpharooms for the last 4 years and have always gave good reviews.

14 June 2008
The rooms are basic but clean. The towels are changed everyday if you leave them in the bath and the beds are made. Staff are friendly and helpful. The Bermudas is close to the beach and nightlife but far enough away to be able to sleep. If I go back to Benidorm I would definitely stay at the Bermudas again. Before going we read the reviews and kept hearing about The Yorkshire Pride for good food and friendly staff so though we'd give it a try. It was a total disappointment as although the food was ok the staff were totally ignorant and rude. We'd recommend the Drop Inn a few doors up. Great food and friendly staff!

The accomodation is basic, but comfortable. Very good if you just want to sleep, shower and party. The staff were very helpful and the swimming pool is clean and plenty of sunbeds to go round. If I was looking for good cheap accomodation in benidorm I would go here again.

just a thought

24 July 2007
just got back from the Bermudas on the 22/07/07.the hotel was basic, but I thought a lick of paint both outside and in the rooms would not have gone amiss.I was wary of using any of the cutlery supplied, looked like it had been there for ages.the facilities were good, fine pool but I thought that the tiles in the poolwere a little slippy and so you had to be careful.A lot of the sunbeds were broken and I thought more attention could have been given to this.I got a coach transfer from the airport and it only cost us €29,the price for the taxi back from the hotel was €66, a bit of a rip off...next time I will stick to the coach. All in all the Bermudas were fine as a base but not as a full board package...quite central which was a bonus.

Thought this hotel was fantastic value for money. Was a group of 14 women on my hen do, thought they would be funny as such a large group but the staff were really welcoming. Rooms are basic but spacious and clean. Pool was clean, although some sun loungers weren't in the best condition. The manager of the hotel was great, he gave us first aid advice and translated medical instructions into english and even let us keep 3 of our 7 rooms on the final day for free! would definitely visit here again.

just back from the bermudas, very basic but you get what you pay for.Good maid service ,very clean didnt eat there as there is fantastic food nearby try the queen marys 'drop inn and the battered cod, they dont have a dress code not like the last stop who now think they have a bit of class. There were lots of english guys staying who were very loud this could be a problem if you have kids with you ,the pool was never cleaned and there was a dirty film at the top also i thought i had the safest sunbed until it collapsed the last day apart from that great location and value for money dont think i will go back to benidorm again time for a change.

18 January 2007
No frills or furbelows but we got what we paid for. Clean beds, friendly and helpful staff. It was a little further from the amenities than we expected although plenty of places to eat around the area. Not really my cup of tea though.
I hadn't been to Benidorm for 25 years and I think it will be 25 years before I go back. If I live that long !!
For all that ... Bermudas was a fine base.

The hotel is close to a number of good bars, shops and restaurants and is only a short walk from Levante beach. The rooms were very well appointed, ours had been extended so that the lounge area was larger at the loss of the balcony. The room still had full height sliding doors, for ventillation, and views over the swimming pool. As we were staying during November it wasn't a problem not having a balcony. The room was clean and modern with plenty of storage space. It was equipped with a washing machine, hotplate, fridge and microwave. The staff were friendly and offered helpful advice, particularly good restaurants or interesting days out. The buffet breakfast was Spanish influenced and although it suited our taste, we suspect it wouldn't be appreciated by some British visitors.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would use this hotel again.

The apartment was of standard quality an ideal base for those who are on the go and just need somewhere to bath and sleep. It is in a quiete area so not too much noise at night but only 2 minutes walk away from the main entertainment area of bars and clubs. Food was nice, could have been more of a selection but what we did have was very nice. The staff were very friendly and dealt with any problems straight away.

We stayed at Bermudas from 22 to 26 May 2006 and found it to be a clean, tidy hotel, rooms are basic and a bit old fashioned but perfectly adequate.  The pool was very large, beautiful and clean.  We found there to be plenty of sunloungers.  The staff were fine too and the cleaners came in every other day and put in fresh towels even though we were self catering.  The location was just slightly out of the centre so you could walk to the square where all the action was in 5 minutes but you didn't get all the noise.  The beach was also a 5 min walk.  There are several bars/restaurants right outside the hotel door for breakfast/lunch and dinner.  The hotel was full of UK people and does attract large groups of male who like to act daft around the pool but that kept us entertained!!!  I would recommend Bermudas to anyone and its ideal if you are on a budget.

We stayed at the Bermudas for 2 weeks from the 13th September 2005.  On arrival we were given the key to a studio room but found it very dated and the shower didn't work properly.  We went back to the desk and complained and were taken to another room, this time with a separate bedroom, smart fully equipped kitchen and very clean and smart.  Maid service every day, clean towels daily and sheets changed often. The staff very friendly and courteous informing us of local places to visit and even giving us a map when we asked for directions as we had a hire car and wanted to tour the area.  The hotel has a large pool which was clean, and plenty of sun loungers and a seating area. It is handy for all amenities and although there was building work opposite the work didn't start until 8am but didn't bother us as we were out all day.  We would definitely stay there again.

This was probably the worst Hotel that we have EVER stayed in - it needs to be completly refurbished Doors were hanging off  Hinges, no plugs for the sink or wash basin and the floors were dirty! Sheets were clean or I think that we would have moved,   when asked if we could change rooms we were told to see the booking agent!!!! The food was horrific we went down for 1 meal and there was no-one in the restraunt - we should have known what the food was like - horrific! 1st and last meal there. Benidorm is lovely and we are back there next month, but we shall be giving the "Bermudas" a very wide berth.

Sept 2005

Firstly, this was the first time I have used AlphaRooms to book accomodation and had no problems with this booking whatsoever either online or at the apartment block.

I was looking for accomodation that suited a large group of blokes for a week in Benidorm and The Bermudas suited perfectly.

The rooms were all twin beds with a double sofa bed. The rooms, as mentioned in other reviews, are all dated with antiquated fridges/cookers/microwaves/tv showing mostly local channels plus Eurosport and CNN, but this was not a real concern for ourselves as we basically used them for sleeping in only.

The apartment block has approx 8 floors with a large bar, pool table, dart board and restaurant that serves 3 meals per day.

The swimming pool is very large and clean, with plentyiful sun loungers around, aside from the fact that there seemed to be a lot of towels down there first thing. Due to other buildings the sun doesn't really hit the pool area until approx 11 A.M but is there all day from there on in.

There is also a shaded terrace with tables and chairs if you want somewhere to sit and have a drink or two.

The location is a little bit away from the busy part of of Levante but not too bad, a taxi from The Square for example cost 4 euros.

Lastly, and the only downside, is the fact that there is building work going opposite the entrance and this is in it's early stages, so there is a lot of noise from approx 9 AM of the mechanical digger variety.

The staff are very friendly, towels and sheets changed halfway through our weeks stay.

We stayed at the Bermudas Apartments on 30 August 2005. When we arrived we were disappointed after having read the reviews of these apartments. The kitchen utensils were old and dirty, could not use them. There are plenty of cheap cafes round the corner who do good food. The bathroom ceiling looked as if it was ready to collapse any minute, tiles were cracked and bath did not work. Bed sheets were clean, although the floor was very dirty. Put a pair of flip-flops on after coming out a shower. Pool area was okay but pool could have been doing with a clean as there were beasties, plasters, newspapers etc. all in it. Asked for a courtesy room on our last day as we were not leaving until 9.30 p.m.,lady receptionist was not helpful at all, just kepting saying no room available and walked away without even looking. Asked the man who spent 5 mins looking for us but still they could not even let us have a room for a least a hour. I have stayed in apartments all over the world who always have a room available fo late leavers.

I travelled to Benidorm last year May 2004, we had not planned to go there but were stuck with flights to alicante and ended up on alpha beds looking for accomodation..we booked the Bermudas and I must agree with most of the above, it was cheap, we were half board and the food was very basic but edible. We were on the 7th floor and the room was large and very clean, clean towels and sheets every day and a great pool area, close to all amenities and very close to levante beach. The staff were helpful and it was quiet at night which was great as we had a five year old with us. As value for money I would recommend the Bermudas. All to often we scots get ripped off with holidays abroad and it is good to get somewhere clean and affordable.
We would definately go back to the Bermudas and plan to travel back to Benidorm next year for a longer stay. It is a fantastic place for families, couples and teens. Excellent!!!

The best thing about this Hotel is..it is close enough for all the benefits of Benidorm and far enough away from the noisy centre.
The Hotel is especially clean and although with the 70's drawback it is well laid-out and maintained well. It is clean and the army of cleaners have added pride to their roles. The laundry and maid service is excellent....even large mega-star hotels dont offer clean linen every day....
The food was very reasonable and the Spanish who use the Hotel are as wary of us as you are them and only a good morning or hello can make everyone feel at home.....or at least on holiday. Buenas Dais!

The Bar and Pool area area is clean and neat with lots of happy waiters and waitresses to tend your thirsty needs.
The pool area has a complimenting shaded area as well as sunspots for even the most formidable sun-worshippers. Later in the evening though the buildings in the environs shade the pool, so the water cools rather quickly and the morning swin may be for only those who do not suffer from heart problems...VERY COLD !!

The slight hill may make it difficult for those have mobility problems but there are a good few rest stops on the way.
The inter-twining roads and alleys with copious amount of parked cars offer a test when crossing any roads, BE CAREFUL when leaving the hotel around these side streets
This is well worth a stop-over...basic but brilliant in my opinion.
I will definitely be back.......

When we first got there the manager didn’t seem to be a pleasant bloke but as the week past we noticed that we must have caught him on an off day. Our first impressions of the room were really poor as it is a very basic room which needs to be refurbished. After we had got over the fact that it was very basic we were really happy with it. We were very happy with the cleanliness of the room; even though the bathroom looks old it was clean. You are provided with some towels for the bathroom and each morning they are replaced with new clean ones. The pool is great and clean but I would advice you to get up early and put your towels on a sunbed as they are taken up very quickly. You can pay for a small safe to use during your stay, which is what I did to keep our money and passports and stuff like that in. Just round the corner there is a little shop where you can get bottled water and newspapers. There are also some small pubs like the Stretford end which do great breakfasts and lunch time snacks and food all through the day. There are lots of bars and little shops all over the place. Terra mitica is a theme park only 10 mins away in a taxi and is a really great day out. We went to terra natura as well which is a zoo as well only 10 mins in a taxi, but as the weather was very hot all the animals spent most of the day sleeping in the shade so we did not enjoy this as much. All in all it was a great holiday and I would recommend it to anyone.

My friend and I booked to stay there last year and have booked to return again this year , although the hotel is quite old 1969 and has not been refurbished since then, but in saying that it is still clean and as cheap accomadation goes although basic very acceptable , the hotel manager couldn't have been more helpful even gave us a choice of two rooms and what floor we would like this hotel seems to be used a lot by spanish people and the layed back atmosphere and peaceful evenings was a real treat to come back to in the early hours no crazy partys in rooms or shouting and banging of doors all night , we even had a stag party turn up and they were know trouble at all as the manager asked them to respect other people when they returned home at night and they did.
We did not have to fight for a sun bed around the pool in fact you could get a bed any time of day again I think because mainly spanish holiday makers they do not seem to roast there selves as we do so do not have the need to hog the beds .
Plenty to do and see sunday market held two streets away and a 10 min walk to mad bars and cafe's , plenty of eating bars in the same street , but at least you are a way from the noise at night so you can sleep .
The rooms are all self catering and have balconys that all over look the pool , you can opt for meals if you prefer.
All in all a really good holiday weather was fabulous that's why we are going back for more this year , can't wait .
