Good Location

22 June 2008
The hotel is in a good location being close to the Metro and Eiffel Tower, however the directions to get to it from where the coach dropped us at The Opera House were very poor. The hotel is basic and the room 'compact', but it was clean and the staff were polite and helpful. We found breakfast very fresh and tasty, but eating it in the basement room was hot and claustrophobic. Overall for the price paid it was good deal.

Tres Beau-grenelle Tour Eiffel

18 June 2008
Nicely sited, with very helpful reception staff, clean and well decorated room, 'fridge, small shower which took some negotiating to access, good but cramped breakfast, and did not notice the building sites noise when it mattered i.e. at night. We would have missed air-conditioning if it had been very hot, but at 26C it was comfortable.

Excellent Location

18 June 2008
Great location with Dupleix metro station a couple of minutes walk away, Eiffel Tower only 10 mins walk away. There is a bus stop just round the corner that has a direct bus to Gare du Nord. Rooms basic and average size but clean. Greaet to have a fridge and there are quite a few grocery stores nearby to buy cheap wine. Only downside with room is no tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast consisted of croissants, rolls, ham, bacon, yoghurts. Although the construction work was going on opposite the hotel we were not really aware of any noise going on. Plenty of good restaurants around the Eiffel Tower.

Good location

27 May 2008
Good-sized room albeit a bit worn, very good location for sightseeing as it is close to the Dupleix Metro and also to the Eiffel Tower, and there were plenty of places to eat nearby. The staff were very friendly & helpful and breakfast was lovely - good variety and plenty to be had. The only downside to our stay was the construction work right outside our window which would start at 7:30am all the way through to about 4-5pm even on a Saturday! No cafe or restaurant, but there is a very handy Epicerie across the street to buy snacks and drinks. I wouldn't mind staying there again but only once construction is finished across the street!

average at best

Room was quite small, but clean. very noisy, with building works outside & busy street & alot of people being loud until early hours. basic breakfast & around a 10 min walk to eiffel tower. must have only scraped a 3 star rating based on standards in britain

too basic 0 April 2008

07 April 2008
Our room had no fridge, no mini bar, no iron and ironing board. The hotel was in a good position but didn't have the facilities stated. No food is available so it doesn't have a cafe and the bar consists of shorts and cans from a vending machine(Not what i expect from a bar)

First time in Paris

04 April 2008
Staff were very nice and helpful, room was a little tired/small and building work started at 7:30 across the street. This was little bother as we weren't their to stay in bed. Easy walk to tower and Metro on the doorstep - so, clean and reasonable place to stay at price. Wouldn't dash to go back but would not object to staying again.

Nice hotel, clean and a helpful front desk. Only downside no tea/coffee facilities in the room, breakfast was good and plenty of it, ideal location for Eiffel tower and metro, nice restaurants nearby, building work opposite starting at 7.30 (March 08) so you best be an early riser.

very convenient hotel

18 March 2008
Really nice hotel and close to the duplex metro. Eiffel Tower within walking distance of 10/20/minutes. A few nice restaurants locally also. Had 2 teenage girls with us and they liked the hotel, not a fancy one, just basic and certainly clean enough.

Hotel Beaugrenelle Tour Eiffel

20 February 2008
We can only really echo the sentiments of the other reviewers. This is an excellent, clean, pretty basic, friendly hotel in a very good location. Being so close to the tube made travelling around paris very easy. Our room was a decent size too. No tea or coffee facilities in our room.

Paris in November

20 November 2007
A long awaited trip to Paris. Hotel very nice, quiet and clean. Temperature of the room was perfect, usually it is too hot or too cold. All staff very pleasant. 5 minute walk to Eiffel Tower, which is spectacular at night. Found a Sunday market at the end of our street under the rail track, nice surprise! Room was fine size, plenty of hot water for baths, shower excellent. Breakfast very good, short of nothing. Minor complaint, coffee/tea making facilities in the room would have been nice. An excellent way to celebrate my 50th birthday!!

Nice but difficult to find!

20 November 2007
When we reached the hotel we found the staff very pleasant, our room was 405 on top floor - nice views of a building site (drilling started at 7am) but room was clean and practical. Ok if you are just looking for a base. The breakfast was lovely and a good choice of cereals, pastries etc. On the subject of food we have to mention the Pizzeria across the street from the hotel - 'The Amalfi' it is a tiny restaurant but the food is brilliant and it is also open after 12am (handy if you arrive in Paris late at night). We found the hotel was handy for access to the Metro although it was on strike when we were there but we bought a ticket (29 Euro) for the Open Tour bus and used this to hop on and off all round the city for 2 days, value for money. We probably wouldn't stay at this hotel again but thats only because we would stay in another part of the city. Good hotel if you want to stay near the Eiffel Tower - 10 mins walk.

Small room!

02 November 2007
The hotel is in a good location but we were disappointed with the size of the room and the amount of noise coming from the building site right outside our window. Breakfast was good and staff friendly enough. The biggest downside was the cockroach we found in our room. We didn't ask to be moved as it was midnight on our last night and we had to be up for 5:30am so spent ages trying to catch it! Not the best companion to be sharing a room with but it is not a reflexion on cleanliness as the room was suitably clean.

Clean and Basic

30 October 2007
Stayed 2 nights on a short break to Paris. The location was excellent, 2-3 mins walk from Dupleix metro station, in what seemed to be a quiet safe area of Paris. Reception area is small but staff were friendly and helpful, both check-in and check-out went smoothly and quickly. Possibly the smallest double room we have ever stayed in, but it was warm and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom had a shower only and was a bit dated, but plenty of hot water, and clean towels. Breakfast was ample consisting of juice, cereals, rolls, croissants, eggs, ham, tea and coffee providing a good start to the day served from 7-10am. There is some construction work due to start opposite but lying in bed wasn't on our agenda. Overall good value for money.

Hotel Beaugrenelle Tour Eiffel

13 September 2007
Just back from a couple of days in Paris. We arrived at the hotel at lunchtime and got straight into our room which was, as the other reviews said, quite small but had everything we needed and was very clean. We got fresh linen and towels on our second day which was great. There was also a small fridge in the room which was very handy for storing some wine from the local supermarket! Breakfast was fine, more than we usually eat - croissants, ham, cheese etc. and plenty of it. Location was perfect, 2 mins walk from the Dupleix Metro and 5-10 mins walk from the Tour Eiffel. You're only 5 stops on the Metro to the Champs Elysees. If you're there on a Sunday morning, check out the fantastic market underneath the arches at the Metro station. I wanted to buy everything! We had a lovely weekend and would recommend the hotel to anyone who wants a reasonably priced room in a convenient location. We'd use this hotel again without hesitation.
