Impressed!
21 May 2007
I was really pleased with this hotel, I'll rough it any old place having been a backpacker in my younger days but my boyfriend won't, it's a minimum of 4 stars for him on holiday!
The hotel looks impressive from the outside, it's set back from the resort centre up a hill and is glass fronted which makes for great seaviews when you're strolling round inside.
The room was well equipped, neat and clean and the bathroom had two sinks. The balcony was nice, spacicous and they all overlook the pools and sea so you're guaranteed a good view. The only down side is the indoor waterfall which is a little noisy in the mornings if your room is near it like ours was!
Couldn't fault the service, reception was always well staffed with English speakers who booked us taxis, gave us advice on where to go and sorted a late check out for us on our last day.
We only ate breaskfast there and being lazy went last minute every day! There was still plenty to choose from, all the usual fried English stuff then continental hams, cheeses and pastries with fruit platters and juices, all good quality and fresh.
The Spa is well worth a visit at only 10 euros each and is 90 minutes of water therapy where you move round different sections including bubbling spas, cold water pools, saunas, steam rooms and jacuzzis. We also tried the fitness room which was small but had weights, bikes, cross trainer and running machine. You could have treatments if you wished but we didn't have time.
Costa Teguise is quite windy and there are not a lot of smart places to eat, it's all burgers, pizza/pasta, chinese and sandwiches but there are good shops and supermarkets and the beaches are clean if a little rocky.
We paid about 3 euros for taxis to and from the resort, 20 euros to the airport and 4 euros per lounger on the beach so costs are average for Spain.
All in all the hotel was great and I would stay again!
