We booked the apartments as they did look rather nice. Also in a great location in Puerto Del Carmen -- near enough to the centre but also far enough away if you wanted peace & quiet. The complex was clean & well maintained but we were disappointed with the apartment. It had plenty room but wasn't what we expected. It was one of several that was still waiting to be modernised. You could have got more heat out of a candle than you could out of the 2 rings on the stove. It seems that the nicer apartments are located near the pool. The furnishings also needed updating. The staff were very friendly & the maid service good. Bar snacks available near the pool were good value for money & the restuarant seemed ok even though we didn't use it. Will probably go back but will ask for a differnet apartment.
We were there from 10/07/08 to 24/07/08.

Lovely clean complex in a great location.Towels changed daily & sheets changed as often as you like.We were in apt.M6 which was two bed at the back of the complex would have preferred pool view but not a deterrent.Would recommend this complex to anyone and we will certainly return in the future.Plenty of space in apartments for us and sons (5 adults) and loads of storage space.Did not eat in onsite restaurant but it was always busy which is a good sign.Had a fantastic holiday only downside HAD TO COME HOME!

Although the apartments were clean and the complex was nice and quiet, we were unfortunate enough to be placed in block B which faces on to a very busy road and our apartment was right across from a very noisy bar which was in full swing until 4:00 am. This meant sleepless nights which on a holiday which was meant to be relaxing was upsetting. I have baby of 5 months old and the noise meant I couldn't even open the windows to the (very warm) room at night!!! I would recommend the apartments which are in a nice setting but try and avoid blocks A and B if you can!

My husband and I with our 4 year old son have just returned on the 3rd August '06 after a 2 week stay and were very pleased. The complex is ideally located and well maintained. All the staff are polite and we found the reception staff especially helpful. There are numerous restaurants and bars close by and we had numerous good meals and enjoyed the atmosphere that staff created outside the complex.

If your looking for secure accomadation with night time patrols , then The Barcarola is for you
In all 6 of us went ranging from 16 - 39 years old and we will definitely be going back

A beautiful accomodation extremely well kept and maintained daily by the staff.Very helpful staff who were only to happy to assist your every needs from linin and towel changes on request to extra hangers.
Set on the edge of the resort but within a hugh range of restaurants and bars.Being a flat resort ideal base for those long walks along the seafront working off your excesses.
Residents from all over Germany,Spain and of course the U.K.
Highly recomended.

Excellent, lovely pool, quiet location, we were in J4& 5 (good situation) - Fabulous restaurant just outside complex, nice cocktail bar over the road which also does great hot dogs. Night life Ricks Bar, very friendly, cheap drinks lots of fun.

These apartments were absolutely perfect in every way. When we first arrived we were greeted by a really friendly receptionist who remained like this all through the holiday. The apartments were just perfect, towels changed every day and sheets if you wanted as well, even though we were very untidy the maid left the place spotless each day, made me feel very embarrassed. The grounds around apartments were also beautiful and the pool was manned by a lifeguard and cleaned regularly.I would have no hesitation in recommending these apartments to anyone and I'm certain they would not be disappointed. We can't wait to return again as soon as possible.
