FANTASTIC.....I travelled to this hotel in July / August 2005 with my 2 children aged 11 and 14.We all had a brilliant holiday, staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic, always very warm and plenty to choose from, even for fussy eaters..The dessert table is like smashing (diet out the window).rooms are standard size, air conditioning number 1 class.Pool areas very clean and always plenty of games ect for kids and adults.Thomsons kids club was on everyday except a sunday and it was on 3 evenings a week.My daughter loved it.The entertainment team were superb and worked very hard day and night.Different show on every night,Kool And The Gang were on one of the nights as well. Also in a great area, would defo go back to this hotel...beach 2 mins walk..sealife centre, golf 10 mins walk..tivoli world.A short ride in the mini train..all in all you will never be bored in this lovely resort and great hotel....hope this review helps you.

Resort was perfect for a young family - kids never bored - beach spitting distance if fancy a change from pools - but hotel, well we are a family of four 2 adults one 4 yr old and a six month old baby, we were put in a box room with no amenities even though we had pre booked a fridge for the baby’s milk. We kicked up a fuss and were offered nothing so saw rep and she gave us a travel kettle ???? This spoilt the holiday from the start - we tried to be moved to a studio but were told ‘no there is nothing at all’ so we just got on with it but on our second last night met a couple from Bristol who only had one child 8 months old and they had done same as us - kicked up a fuss - and were offered a fridge and a kettle - we were offered none. They said it wasn’t good enough and turned on the water works and were then moved to a studio which they showed us -it was beautiful really big and spacious really modern we would have had a great time in there. The couple had only been there a week as well while we did 2 weeks. We are really unhappy with the reps and the follow up to our situation so we would say if staying in Bali do not opt for hotel but go for studios unless you are travelling alone as the food is quite good although we only ate they 3 times as the food is really cheap in the restaurants around the resort and the resort is huuuuuuuge - loads to do - the pools were great in the hotel apart from on our second day our young boy jumped in pool without his wings on and my wife had to jump in to save him from drowning as the lifeguard on duty was more interested in eyeing the lads up around the pool than actually doing the job she is being paid for so I give the hotel 1 out of 5 basically because of the reps, the management and the lifeguard -but the barstaff 5 out of 5 as they were great really, friendly and helpful and made you feel like a friend not a tourist ..

Review of Bali
16 July 2005
Booked a very last minute trip (booked Sat, arrived Sun)and stayed at Bali. Didn't expect much as most other hotels were full. First struck by the very polite and helpful reception staff who always tried to help whatever time of day or evening. My room was very clean and pleased to say I wasn't stuck in a broom cupboard despite being a single traveller. Unfortunately I found the plumbing in the hotel kept me awake with loud clanking sound each time a flush was pulled nearby. Walls paper thin, I could hear guest in room below whistling quite clearly. It was very noisy and busy with children and loud music from pool which put me off. I spent my days at the Hotel San Fermin nextdoor which was lovely and quiet. Shame since staff were so nice.

The food was top rate.Better than in other hotels that we have stayed in.The staff were the most helpfull and polite that I have ever come across. The only draw back was that it up a steep hill.Would definately go back again.
