MonteGordo is situated to the east of Faro and is a modern holiday resort with a pleasant promenade. The coast is accessible where you can find typical, and cultural discoveries of Portugal. Sea and river are natural features of the area, where the long sandy beach is backed by sand dunes and dotted with small woods of pine trees. And the nature reserves on the banks of the River Guadiana, which is the natural frontier between Spain and Portugal. Moreover, there is a selection of bars and restaurants and a few local shops selling local crafts and souvenirs.

I have now stayed in this hotel on four occasions and have never been disappointed.This is the perfect place for anyone looking for clean well presented small hotel at a reasonable price.The hotel is always clean,the staff are always polite and helpful and whilst the breakfast is plain it is always plentiful.Finally its location is spot on,only two hundred metres from the beach.I am returning next month.
