Couples
14 July 2008
Perfect place to stay if you're looking for a relatively quiet couples holiday. Staff are extremely helpful. Location is excellent, short walk to nearest shops and a little further walk to the main centre- 20mins. Taxi's are only 3euros though and easy to catch. Only downside is that the pool is quite cold but otherwise, no problems at all!

Wonderful
07 July 2008
Had a wonderful stay at Atlantic Gardens. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and safe, the pool was well kept and a welcome break from the heat! Its about 30 minute walk away from the centre of Playa Blanca but its a lovely walk along the seafront. The apartments could do with some slight improvements such as a fresh coat of paint, but nothing too serious and for the amount it cost us it was wonderful accomodation. The restaurant closed at 5pm though so there was no option to stay at the hotel for the evening meal. However, we walked 5 minutes to Playa Flamingo where there are a few restaurants to pick from, including a beautiful Chinese restaurant where you can eat over looking the sea.
Beautiful setting wiith something for those who want to lie around in the sun or the more active people with 2 decent tennis courts, volleyball court, gym and mini golf. Reception will exchange money, book excursions, and help with any other request you might have.
All in all a wonderful stay, would recommend and would go back.

Very Safe
26 May 2008
Just back after a week in Atlantic Gardens. I was there on my own and I felt very safe. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bungalows are set out in a lovely area - with an open patio area to the front and an enclosed back tiled area. I have to say my bungalow was very clean. The back window and door could do with a lick of paint! The bed was a little uncomfortable but bearable. There was an extra set of pillows and 3 extra blankets in the storage press. It is a bit of a distance from the beach/town but its a lovely walk along the prom. You could lie by the pool and not have music blaring out at you - all very quiet and peaceful - just what I was looking for!

Great value for money
11 April 2008
We went here at Easter and it is a great place for the money. Like all other reviews, the place is basic but clean. We didn't have a problem with the location as the sea front walk was really pleasant, even our 4 year old was happy to walk to the beach/town and back! The beds are a little uncomfortable after a few nights (we had to ask for extra pillows) and the walls are a little thin! It's worth noting that there is a really good aerial shot of the resort on Google Earth (we could work out which bungalow we stayed in!). Would definitely return in the future.

bit out of the way!
27 March 2008
I think to say this place is perfect is pushing it a bit. It's a ten minute walk just to get to the first beach, flamingo, then at least another 20 minutes into the resort centre. At this time of year (March)was very windy so not a pleasant stroll, I'm sure the weather improves in the later months but I wouldn't recommend this hotel to the eldery or less mobile. The bungalows themselves were very clean but little dated, silly having to pay for a kettle when it's on the room description and silly items such as a perculator and toaster were free. The pillows are none existant and if you like sleeping flat then you'll love them. The pool bar was a joke, it never opened at night. Nobody wanted to stay round the pool area as too windy anyway. If this hotel was 15 minutes closer I would probably be kinder. The shop was good, tennis courts and pool tables. Staff were helpfull and good you can book trips plus hire car through them. Towels changed and bedding when stated. Also this area of playa blanca is not very well lit in the nightime so again wouldn't suggest for less mobile.
Pros: staff,cleaning,shop
Cons:location,pillows,bar not open.
You can't help the weather so won't hold that against the hotel but definitely that bit too far. Come here if you like walking or better still running.

Pleasure to reccomend
25 March 2008
Stayed in Atlantic Gardens week 10-17 March 2008. Absolutely loved it. the location is perfect - nicest promenade to town, just far enough for the pleasure walk. very friendly staff, pools in perfect condition, one was heated, so no problem swimming in March! very clean rooms, although basic, I agree. But you do not spend your time in the room on holidays, don't you?
pros:
location, service, cleaniness, minishop on site. I would also put as a pro the Playa Blanka being the most authentic place on the island, not yet too spoilt by the tourists. Great value for money
cons:
not enough sunbeds by the pool, extra fee for the kettle, somewhat short open hours for the bar by the pool.
Overall: Peaceful place, highly reccomend. will certainly come back.

Recommended for peace lovers!
09 December 2007
Great first impression. Clean, warm rooms (we arrived 10pm.). Specially happy with soft pillows. Towels changed twice a week, sheets once(mondays),all fine not worn at all. Coffemaker in room, possible to rent waterkettle.
You can enjoy sun poolside all day or take excursions all over island.
Enjoyed hot sauna and chilly pool!
Gym is more like museum ...
Short walk (by seaside 7min) to first bunch of restorans, supermarket; 15-20 min to port ,5 more min to shopping street and more restorans.
We rented car for visiting other towns but you could do without it!
Anyway highly recomended town and place to stay if you don't like busy and crowded places.
Would go back anytime!!!
PS! Take warm cardigan or jacket if travelling in winter.

Basic with good location
31 October 2007
Basic but clean with friendly staff, a nice stroll to the resort itself, bed were uncomfortable and bitten alive by flies/mosquitoes so be prepared!! But you can blame the resort for the insects, situated overlooking the sea with beautiful gardens-its a lovely spot, all in all our stay was positive, could do with a revamp tho!

Atlantic Great Holiday Gardens
24 July 2007
Just back from Playa Blanca and The Atlantic Gardens. Couldn't fault the location, the bungalow or the service. Accomodation is fairly basic but is clean, spacious and has everything you need. For the ultra lazy there are even sunbeds on your own terrace! My only suggestion to the management is to sort out the mini golf course - it needed a good refurb!
Excellent value for money and will hopefully be visiting again soon

26 May 2007
A great place away from the main centre (though very accessible). Quiet, peaceful, friendly staff, very clean apartments. Not really into these sort of holidays but Atlantic Gardens was just a nice retreat away from modern day madness. Highly recommended! A €2.50 5 min taxi trip away from Centre or a 20 min walk.

Diving Paradise
18 May 2007
I came to Playa Blanca to dive, and I chose this accomodation because of its proximity to the Dive Centre (Dive College). It was easy to walk along the sea path for 5-10 minutes, to reach the dive centre and so the location was superb. My room was fine..no frills..exactly what I expected on my budget. The shop was adequately stocked with essentials, and the pool area was lovely..very well maintained. I will be staying here again next time I visit Playa Blanca. You need to allow half an hour to walk along the sea path to reach the centre of Playa Blanca, but it's a very attractive walk and it helps to walk off a large amount of tapas in town! And for dive dudes, the location is spot on.

The resort was clean and staff friendly we thought a car was very handy as it would have been a long walk into Playa Blanca itself for a good choice of restaurants. Beds and linen overdue for replacement but on the whole a quiet and clean location.

The staff at this resort were very pleasant and helpful. Quiet location, ideal for young families, older couples. Short walk to Playa Flamingo, with longer walk to Playa Blanca - brilliant. Upgrading obviously taking place, but attention needs to be paid to towels and bedlinen, which although extremely clean, are a little worn. Value for money.

Our second stay at Atlantic Gardens. Again I would recommend for a couple wanting a quiet holiday in pleasant surroundings within walking distance of the restaurants and shops of Playa Blanca and a short walk to the sea. It’s best to hire a car if you want to get to the better beaches. It is also very suited to families with young children. No good for anyone wanting entertainment and lots of food laid on. The place is clean and well maintained although and the staff generally friendly and helpful. However it could do with some refurbishment, e.g. I thought that the equipment in the gym was inadequate and potentially dangerous. It's not the easiest place to find so I recommend locating on a street map before going there.

We travelled to playa Blanca in February 2007 and stayed at the Atlantic Gardens Apartments. As we were travelling with our son aged 17 months we wanted a nice quiet family holiday and had seen reviews and pictures of this property and it seemed just what we were looking for. We were certainly not dissapointed, the bungalows are located in nice grounds many with sea views, basic but very clean with a patio area and outside courtyard at the back of the bungalow for drying clothes etc. The pool area is lovely two pools plus baby pool and sea views from the pool,a snack bar serving drinks ice creams etc and a small bar area although this did not stay open too late on an evening. The staff on reception and also by the pool very very friendly and helpful booking taxis trips etc for us. The walk to the centre from this resort takes about 15 minutes to the first set of restaurants and also the beach which is lovely and ideal for children calm waters very clean lots of sunbeds. The main set of restaurants and shops is another 15 minutes and then the Rubicon Marina which has another selections of shops and restaurants another half an hour but the walk is so scenic you really dont mind.We must have walked miles during the week. Playa Blanca is very quiet not many bars as such although there is a great irish bar so its mainly sunbathing and then a nice meal in the evening but for a relaxing holiday you really could not ask for more. We would go back and would definately be staying at the Atlantic Gardens.

Review of 'ATLANTIC GARDENS'
03 March 2007
I loved Atlantic gardens, myself and my friend went during october, it was quiet which was nice, but near to lots of night life if you wanted it which was good, cause you could have a nice quiet evening in at the hotel or go into the centre of playa blanca for a good night out. The staff were very friendly and resort and bungalows very clean, any problems and the staff are straight onto it. If you worry that its full of couples, it generally is, but on the up side at least its not too full of young kids, and nosy groups of drunks! the only thing i will say is that at end of season they don't open much in the way of the other facilities in the hotel, the bar was hardly open on the evenings so you generally did have to go into town if you wanted to do something. but over all it was the best holiday i'd had in along time, and i would go again.

Complex in a lovely position only minutes to walk to promenade and ten minutes to a few restaurants and supermarket. We found the bungalows very comfortable and very clean. Only the very bare essentials provided in the kitchen (three of everything) and I thought they could have provided kettles and not have to hire them. The staff were very helpful and always polite. Pool area very clean. All in all a very good holiday and I would recommend the bungalows to anyone wanting a very quiet peaceful holiday.

Stay at ATLANTIC GARDENS'-
14 December 2006
We have stayed at Atlantic Gardens many times and have never failed to enjoy our stay. The hotel grounds are delightfull and the staff very polite. The rooms need some TLC, however they are regularly cleaned by the staff. The pool area is excellent but the sun beds are now in need of some upgrade. On the whole Atlantic Gardens offers excellent value for money for its gardens, pool area and location.

We stayed at the Atlantic Gardens from 20th July-31st July 2006. I would like to say that all the reviews that we read before we left were a big help and very accurate. The pool was lovely and a shame that more people didnt take advatage of it. The accomodation was clean and tidy and all stafff very helpful. You must try the Irish Anvil which is a great pub and they also have entertainment on every night, they also serve great food every day from 5-9 pm. There are excellent places to eat near the port which is about a 20 mins walk. You must try Don Camillo but not the first one you come to but the seconod which is an Italian it's lovely. We ate their 4 times during our 11 day stay, The chinese next to the Irish Anvil is worth a visit. Can't wait to visit next year. It was very hot but with the brezze it was bearable. There is no Air conditioing but it only costs 12 euro a wk to hire a good fan from reception. If you are going on any trips book them with reception as you will get them cheaper. You must go to Teguise market on Sundays, and Timanfaya is a must, it was breathtaking! Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.

The bungalows are set in mature well kept gardens and were very clean and comfortable. The staff were more than helpful and very friendly. A small on site supermarket provided us with all the basics we required and the pool area was lovely. For the more energetic there was tennis and volleyball courts, a gymnasium and a sauna to relax in. Although the resort is in need of some TLC in parts it did not detract us from enjoying our holiday and we would certainly go back there again. My only ciriticm would be the poolside bar - which although was well run and served drinks during the day was lacking in the quality and variety of the food.

Review of 'ATLANTIC GARDENS'
31 May 2006
For a relaxing, reasonably priced stay in Lanzarote, we found "Atlantic Gardens" to be excellent. The apartment was clean and quiet, with maid service every day. Our little boy (8) loved the playground, complete with climbing wall, and although it was too chilly for the pool, it was pleasant to sit beside the water and there were no fights for deck chairs! On the negative side, the food at the bar was poor, so it's best not to stay poolside for meals. As it is a 40-minute walk to town, it's not for those who are looking for lively entertainment, but fine for those seeking peace & quiet. All in all, an excellent deal for the price.

We have just spent a very relaxing week at The Atlantic Gardens in Lanzarote and I just wanted to say how nice the place was. We had a lovely bungalow style apartment overlooking the sea. All the staff were pleasant and friendly and the whole place was kept really clean and tidy. The grounds were lovely and so too was the pool area, (but the water in the pool was freezing!!) The small shop on site was well stocked and prices were no more expensive than in the supermarket down the road. It is situated a bit out of town but if like us you like walking then it wasn't a problem. The only slight problem was the sea front path by the accommodation was not lit at night. I would definately go back again.

We first stayed at the Atlantic Gardens Bungalows in Nov 1997 and have just revisited this accomm - at the end of Mar 2006 In 1997 the properties were around 5 years old and situated on the edge of Playa Blanca on the south coast of Lanzarote Now the property is surrounded by a very extended resort area - but still an oasis of peace and tranquility with 105 1 bed single storey bungalows in a spacious landscaped setting hidden from view by the now mature palm trees. Whilst the bungalows are starting to show their age, everything is well maintained and clean and smoothly run The development is currently up for sale and we hope it will retain its current character in an expanding resort

We stayed at Atlantic Gardens for two weeks from 26th March 2006.Although the bungalows were quite basic, they were kept very clean with regular maid service and changes of linen. The rest of the resort was excellent.Pools and gardens were well maintained.Resort entertainment was lacking but there were activities for young children, play area, crazy golf and pool table. The only downside was the distance to Playa Blanca centre,30 to 40 minutes walk, although some bars 10 mins.walk away as was nearest beach. We hired bikes but would recommend car hire.Resort situated on promenade with walks for miles in each direction.Best beach far side of town.

Review of 'ATLANTIC GARDENS'
07 April 2006
Just arrived back from a great week in Lanzarote. The reviews on The Atlantic Apartments from Alpha Rooms were spot on. The apartments were excellent value for money, basic and a bit tired but very clean and the maids came in 5 days out of 7. I must admit though, the beds were VERY hard. The pool area was lovely and the pool bar was open, but only until 5pm. There is a Supermarket on site for the basics (open until 4pm) but think it was because it was early in the season - which suited us perfectly as it was very quiet and peaceful, so don't go if you want a lively base. It is a little far out so expect a 40 minute walk to the centre of Playa Blanca, and a 20 minute walk to Playa Flamingo Beach, where there are a few restaurants and supermarkets. Lovely walk along the coast though. We had a car so didn't use the Apartments' facilities a great deal. Would definitely go back. Best beach is Playa Dorada, new Rubicon Marina is beautiful, with a small market on Saturdays and Wednesdays. Plenty of restaurants and shops in the Centre and easy to get the Ferry (every hour) to Fuerteventura.

19 March 2006
The bungalows at Atlantic Gardens are clean, simple & comfortable. The patio area was private & looked over the gardens which are full of cacti & vibrant flowers. The pool area is spacious and we never felt overlooked by other people. The pools aren't heated though, so unless you go during the summer, the water's cold & refreshing!!
About 5-10 minute walk to Playa Flamingo (with 3 supermarkets, 6 restaurants & sandy beach) and 25 minute walk to Playa Blanca & the port, the apartments may be too far away from Playa Blance for some people, but the walk into the resort is lovely along the sea and a nice way to work up an appetite or thirst!!
We very much enjoyed our relaxing & chilled out stay at Atlantic Gardens apartments!

A great bungalow complex set in gardens with an excellent pool area. 24hr reception, and very multi-lingual. Review of 'ATLANTIC GARDENS'
13 February 2006
I've stayed at the Atlantic Gardens on at least six occasions in 2005. The locations is fantastic - about 15 mins walk to Playa Flamingo Beach/supermarket/restaurants and about 25 to the village. The reception staff in particular are lovely and extremely helpful. The apartments are clean but basic. Television is primarily geared towards German guests but with Sky News and Sport in English and local Spanish channels. The pool is never overly busy which is a joy and the garden areas are well tended. There is a small supermarket on site which is minimally stocked so its best to shop at the bigger markets in the village. The bar has little atmosphere so not ideal, in my view, for families who want on-site entertainment. All in all I think it offers excellent value for money and I look forward to my next visit.
