Would never return
12 August 2008
Just returned from Athena Hotel Pathos 5th August with our 20 and 17yr old kids.Staff were very misserable the main restrant was like a cattle market after 2 days we found out by accident that we were in Superior Room so we could have our Breakfast kater than the market opened 9 - 11 and was a lot cleaner and you actually got your dirty plates etc removed from your table unlike the main restrant where after 20mins I had to take al the dirty crocs from our table and place them on another table nearby which wasnt cleared before we left some 30mins later. We had to ask 3 times for towels in our rooms both our Superior Rom 431 and 433 had awful damp almost like damp urine smells to them the rooms were not hoovered and both rooms cleaned within 20mins by one cleaner!!! I dont call this 4 star. The staff in the lunchtime rstrant by the pool need to get a life and cheer up they were very misserable and grumpy. The evening entertainment was same old thing a singer every night we visited relations at the sister pioneer hotel and their entertainment was much better. The pools were warm and to swim in the sea was near on impossible as so much sea weed and rocks. On arrival we had to find our own rooms and carry our own luggage at 12.am. The only good staff was the girl on the Separate reception who booked a trip for us and Jan a Slovakian lad in the restrant. Managers were misserblae.

Fantastic hotel
06 October 2007
We stayed at the hotel in September 2007 for 11 nights on a bed and breakfast basis and could not fault it.
Plenty of sunbeds/umbrellas whatever time of the day you wanted them. Superb positions and lovely grounds.
Excellent breakfasts with a very good choice.
Hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient.
We would give this hotel 10 out of 10.

Review of 'Athena Beach'
01 September 2006
Excellent facilities, very smart surroundings & would go back. Fab for children with the pool and water slide, but need to be vigilant for younger children ( rightly so!). Nice to see the weddings, lovely cocktails, good snacking available during the day, very comfortable, clean and modern rooms. Only area for improvement is the depositing of towels on sunbeds to mark your turf from around 7.00 AM!!!!

Review of 'ATHENA BEACH'
02 October 2005
We stayed at the Athena Beach Hotel as we were invited to a wedding at another hotel. Lovely Hotel with nice staff and plenty of facilities. Beautifully laid out on the Beach with plenty of sunbeds, umbrellas etc. Everything was first class. The only thing I would say was that we booked a sea view, which I felt was expensive. When we checked in we did not get the seaview we had paid for, however the Hotel rectified this by not charging us for a late check out.
