We were impressed with the hotel, there was a safe and hair dryer in the room, hotel room was kept clean and complimentary water in the fridge, hotel was in a great location, 2 mins from buses, taxi stops and 5 mins from station. Staff were friendly and helpful.
this hotel is in the centre of valencia with easy access to all tourist attractions, take the tour bus and you can get on and off at various stops at half hour intervals. In the hotel room is a book on Valencia which gives you loads of ideas where to go to see the sites or restaraunts and bars. Plenty of squares nearby to relax and take in the views whilst having a drink or bite to eat.

Very impressed. Location superb. Had a room on the 8th floor with brilliant views. Dinner was one of the best I have had in a while. Dont eat at the restaurant outside the front entrance, overpriced and food nothing to write home about.

perfect location right in the heart of the city, very comfortable hotel, friendly helpful staff, lovely breakfast, this is my second time to stay there and will be definitely staying again and no hesitation in recommending to others

A very comfortable and quiet hotel right in the centre of the old town. There is a lovely small square with fountain and restaurant at the front door, and although it is only 150 yards away from one of the main plazas in the old town there is no through traffic. The room was ideal for my wife and I with our 11 year old daughter - with the hallway being comfortably large enough to create a second bedroom. Main centre only 5 minute walk from where the tourist buses leave. Staff all friendly and helpful. Railway station less than 5 minute walk away, but with traffic disruption due to a new rail line being installed and one way streets it also takes quite a few minutes by taxi. We would definitely use this hotel again - first class.

The Astoria was in a excellent position and the bedroom and large bathroom were very good, the breakfast was like a rugby scrum, no tables ready I was left five minutes without a seat and 15 minutes until staff eventually bought coffee, they kept directing us to the jugs which were empty, hot breakfast was to order but no one seemed to be getting any buffet breakfast was ok but we have had better, the staff did not seem to know their left from their right, we didn`t bother going down after 3 days of the same, for a 4 star it was pretty poor, would not stay here again but would reccommend it for the position, a better hotel in Valencia is the Vinci Leys also in a good position with excellent breakfast.

Ciao! This is a WONDERFUL hotel. You just cannot beat the location as it is right in the heart of the city, close to everything, in the most beautiful part of the city. You can walk to the train station, or transfer from the airport-it's all very easy. rooms are beautiful, it is very quiet, elegant. There is an elegance that is apparant in every aspect of this hotel. we loved it there and would ALWAYS stay there now when in Valencia. Nina Italy

Good quality 4 star hotel which deserves its rating. Reception staff spoke English, location is excellent, all sight-seeing in the old town is easily walkable. Simple to reach the City of Arts and Sciences which is a real must see, absolutely amazing with a great show in the Dolphinarium at regular intervals.
Hotel staff were very helpful, room was large with a good bathroom, breakfast buffet had a great variety, different types of ham, smoked salmon, cakes, fruit and bacon sausage and eggs cooked to order if wanted.
Will return to Valencia and to this hotel

The hotel is in an excellent location right in the heart of the city, just a 5min walk to the main area for tapas bars & nightlife. The main shopping area is right on your door step. The beach was a 10-15 taxi ride away. The room we had was very nice & spacious with a balcony. We found the staff very helpful & friendly. The breakfast that was included was very good & had a good selection. I highly recommend this hotel.

All 3 people (mixed age group) were very impressed with this hotel. The hotel facilities were excellent, rooms were big, reception was modern and bustling. All staff were very friendly, easy to find someone with english. breakfast was "to die for" - plenty selection of healthy and not so healthy if you wanted that! Location was in a quiet square very near good shopping and historic area. We explored the city by foot from the hotel and while you want to be keen on walking - it is a good location to explore from. The only difficulty we had was that there are about 4 different ways to come back to the hotel as its in a square and it can be confusing on the first few days.
Would have no hesitation in recommending hotel - had checked other reviews before booking and felt that it surpassed our expectations. Didn't check out gym etc but that option is also there.

We spent two nights in October 2005 at the Astoria Palace, Valencia and can highly recommend the hotel. It is in a pretty, quiet square with a welcoming reception area. Our room looked newly decorated and was comfortable, big and had a fantastic bathroom and was really quiet. Breakfast is a buffet with everything you would want from fresh fruit, ceral through to cheeses and ham plus eggs etc. It is also in a great area within walking distance of the old town, shops and bars. Great value too!
