Brilliant hotel
30 June 2008
I booked this hotel for a long weekend on reading the reviews on here. what a superb welcome to Poland. The room, although at the back of the hotel ( railway very close) was fitted with air con so we just left the windows closed. we had 3 beds so the room was large, but immaculately presented. The sheets were changed everyday and the staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Based close enough to the main old town but not far for all the attractions. Thank you Ascot for a wonderful weekend.

Great value hotel
20 June 2008
We've just got back from Krakow and would certainly recommend the Ascot Hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was great. Everything was clean and sparkly and although our room was a bit small it was definitely great value for money.

Excellent Hotel
21 May 2008
Would have no hesitation in recommending this Hotel. We selected this Hotel for location and from reviews. We like to be able to walk everywhere and we found we were only 5 minutes from the beautiful old square or could reach our destination by walking through the Plante which was good for shade as it was very warm last week. Hotel is spotlessly clean and our room was very comfortable. The bathroom had excellent facilities with the towels being changed daily. There were good choices for breakfast with both hot and cold food and the buffet was constantly being replenished. Staff are very welcoming, friendly and courteous, speaking very good English. Nothing was too much trouble. This Hotel rates more than 3 star in our opinion and having travelled extensively throughout the European cities we have a lot to compare it with. Definitely one of the best

excellent hotel
05 April 2008
Recently returned from a 3 night break in Krakow. Chose the hotel because of its reviews and location - it lived up to our expectations. We found the staff very helpful with a high standard of English. We had a triple room which was modern, spacious and extremely clean. The bathroom was immaculate with plenty of hot water and a power shower. Will definitely be recommending the Ascot to friends.

ascot hotel krakow
30 March 2008
We have just returned from the above hotel and rate it 5 for everything. Location-5 minutes walk fom station, 5 minutes from edge of town and further 3 minutes from square. The hotel was superb, lovely rooms, staff and breakfast second to none I would never stay anywhere else if we ever go back. Krakow is the best city that we have visited in Europe and that includes Rome.

short break
15 March 2008
enjoyed a short stay of three nights here, found the staff very helpful and friendly, the rooms were spotlessly clean with clean towels supplied every day, the railway run past my bedroom window, but as they were going slow before entering or leaving the station, I did not find this to be a problem. The only complaint I had was that the room did not supply a kettle for making tea, other than this I thoroughly recommend this fine hotel

Weekend break
05 February 2008
I stayed in the Ascot Hotel at the conclusion of a week ski-ing in the mountains of southern Poland.I found the staff to be very friendly with the reception staff having excellent spoken and written english. The hotel is located 5 minutes walk from the Market Square ( and its most notable landmark, the cathedral!),with all its restaurants ,bars and shopping. If you turn to the right when you leave the hotel, its only a short walk to the main railway station and the newest of Krackows shopping centres,Krackow Galleria.Attractions to see in Krackow for a weekend are easily reached from the hotel,The salt mines, the Old town, with its unique restaurants and cafe bars,The Jewish Quarter,The Castle, with the Polish dragon overlooking the battlements with the views onto the river and the floating restaurants, its a lovely place to spend a relaxing weekend either sightseeing or shopping,i can recommend this excellent hotel and Krackow!

Excellent Hotel!
29 January 2008
Stayed here 17 - 19/01/08 with my mum and dad. Great breakfast, beutiful hotel. Would definitely recommend it. Central for everything. Krakow is a great place for a short break. It's a must to visit Auschwitz. We went on the City Tours you can get at the Main Square - good way to see the City.

Ascot hotel - just as described!
27 September 2007
The Ascot hotel is just as described. spacious comfortable room with all the amenities needed. friendly helpful staff. Situated just outside the planty it's only a 5 minute walk to the main square which is full of shops, restaurants and bars. Also very close to the main railway station and huge shopping mall (Krakow Galeria). Turm left outside the hotel and you're a 10 minute walk from the jewish district.Would definitely recommend Kakow for a city break - lots to do and see and everything is so reasonably priced. Don't bother with the organised trips unless you're wanting a guide - its just as easy to do it yourself. You can get the return train straight to Auschwitz for about 5 pounds each and then a short bus journey form Auschwitz station to the camp ( we walked back from camp). Also a bus stop just roung the corner to visit the salt mines (although rather disappointing). The Ascot hotel is definitely good value for money and even though continental, the breakfast is lovely. Enjoy your stay - we did.

Need a Quality Place to Stay in Krakow?
18 September 2007
Not all hotels on the internet are what they seem to be, this one is. Opened in April 07 all the pictures shown on their website are what they appear to be .Although only 3 star, it has the feel of at least a 4 star. the rooms and breakfast are excellent, and it`s very close to the old market square as stated. Also very close to the modern Krakow Gallerie ( a huge new shopping mall).Friendly staff help you to enjoy your stay
