Recommended Hotel for Budapest

04 September 2008
We visited Budapest end of Aug 2008. We found the staff at Art'Otel to be very friendly and accommodating and experienced no problems there whatsoever. Our room had a beautiful view of the castle and was very spacious and clean. We were able to leave our luggage with them with no problems and they organised a taxi back to the airport for us. Highly recommended.

Fine views, quality hotel

03 March 2008
We stayed for four nights in February 2008. We thought the hotel was extremely comfortable and excellent value for money. We had rooms overlooking the Danube - mine on the second floor with a good balcony and my friends a spacious room on the seventh floor also over looking the Danube. The staff were very helpful and we found the Bistro vey convenient on the evening we arrived and one day for lunch. We enjoyed Budapest very much and the Art'otel contributed to our enjoyment.

We visited Budapest from 2 Jan- 5Jan. We really liked the Art'otel. The staff were friendly and recommended a really nice restuarant over the other side of the bridge call mo's. We had a brilliant view of the castle from our room which was amazing at night. There was snow on the ground when we went which made the city even more beautiful. This hotel was good value for money.

Review of 'ART'OTEL' Another delight of the Danube

24 August 2006
A very trendy hotel, pleasant staff and very helpful. The food in the "chelsea restaurant" was excellent a gastronomic adventure, though somewhat pricey compared to local restaurant prices. If it's a good view of the Danube you are after then this has to be the place for you. Walking distance to all the main sites, parliament building virtually adjacent to Art'otel with the chain bridge a short walk to your right. We had not been to budapest before, but we will certainly go back and stay at this hotel. A perfect view of the "red bull air race" right outside the front door and the St Stephens fireworks display (20th 0f august)on the chain bridge watched by 1.3 million people along the banks of the Danube, you won't find a hotel in a better location. All in all the perfect place to stay for a sightseeing break.

Great hotel. Very comfortable and spacious room. We didn't get a river view but it was an enjoyable stay nonetheless. Close to the bridge so easy access to the city centre.
Friendly staff who are available to advise on nearby restaurants. Their recommendation was the best meal of our stay.
Only negative was they put us ina room which meant we had to walk through service areas which felt inturiven to the staff on their break and us as customers.

Great hotel, location was ideal - about a 15 min walk over the chain bridge to the Pest side.
Rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable, and the hotel restaurant served great food.

The "ART'OTEL" in Budapest was a delightful surprise.  The Hotel was very modern in design and the rooms were tastefully decorated.  The location was perfect being on the Buda side of the city and ideal for public transport.  It was a well run hotel and the staff were very friendly and helpful and most of them spoke perfect English.  We had a superb view of the Castle you could also have perfect views of the Danube.  The staff were good at recommending good local Hungarian Restuarants to visit although we found a good English pub call John Bull Pub which had an amazing menu and very reasonably priced.  This was at the other side of the chain bridge and only a 15 - 20 min walk.  I would definately go back to the same hotel.

If you want the best view in Budapest then the Art'otel is for you.
Situated on the banks of the Danube in Buda almost opposite the Parliament building the Art'otel is a great place to stay.Bright and airy with a sophisticated feel to it this hotel makes visitors feel welcome. The rooms are a good size with windows that open to let fresh air in.They have a modern minimalist feel to them with good quality bed linen, carpets and furnishings. The bathrooms are spacious with lashings of hot water and our shower was powerful! The buffet breakfasts are substantial and no one need be hungry. If visitors choose to dine in the restaurant then the menu is varied the portions good and the food well presented and delicious. The cafe bar is good for meeting friends and talking until late. All the staff are helpful and very obliging.
All in all a great place to stay within easy walking distance of the Chain Bridge and other interesting sights and what a magnificant view of the New Years Eve fireworks we had.
