Artola Golf

Arrived the 29/12/07 for three nights found rooms clean but when asked for a cup of coffee was told the bar was closed, this was 5pm, we asked when the bar would be open, we were told only breakfast time. This is only a bed and breakfast not a hotel . Beds were not made every day, no clean towels or bedding . Staff very unfriendly, wished them 'happy new year' they never even said goodbye. Would not ever stay again

The Artola Golf Hotel is a typically spanish residence with charm and atmosphere. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated and the hotel facilities are of good standard. The Hotel is set in beautifully kept gardens with an attractive pool and outdoor bar area. The Bar is part of the hotel but run by different people and during winter months it was closed which meant the nearest bar was a 10 min walk away in Cabopino. You can walk to the beach in 15 mins but be aware that the nearest beach is a nudist one! The family beach is in Cabopino close by with an excellent beach cafe "Andy's Bar" which serves a good selection of food and snacks all day. Cabopino is a gem! A small but exclusive port with a good selection of restuarants to choose from. A good place to star spot! Marbella and Puerto Banus 20 min drive and Gibralter 1 hours drive all well worth a visit. Overall, excellent location, good facilities, friendly staff, and good clean accommodation. Would recommend and revisit!
