My wife and I live in Lanzarote and often pop over to Fuerteventura for a short break as it means we can be on holiday so to speak in less than an hour. We picked the Arena totally at random last Thursday afternoon [26th June 2008] and went across on Friday afternoon for a weekend break. We took the all inclusive option as we wanted to totally chill out.
All I can say is the same as Jenny M below. Wow this place is hard to beat. The food is lovely and the staff are all helpful and very friendly. The minute we arrived at reception we were knocked out at how relaxed and friendly the atomsphere was. Rooms were spotless and very comfortable. At breakfast if you wanted bacon it was cooked freshly and individually for you. As were the fried eggs. The choice of food was very good at breakfast and all other times, there was always a fruit basket brimming with apples,oranges and bananas etc.
The only thing I could possibly pick holes in was the night time entertainment which left a bit to be desired. The animation girl was great I hasten to add and really great with the kids. The pool bar itself was a bit odd. Doesnt exactly lend itself to creating an atomsphere where you would want to congregate with others for a laugh. But that is being very picky. Overall I would certainly reccoment this hotel to anyone and we will most certainly be returning at the earliest opportunity.
