Not Good
14 June 2008
This hotel although easy to find and close to metro was very disappointing. The room was really tiny and the decor was terrible, tv did not work and the noise that never stopped the whole day and night. Really did not enjoy my stay here and in fact booked an earlier flight home and checked out early! The only thing going for this hotel is that it is close to the metro Sacre Cour and the Moulin Rouge

Hotel was very easy to find once we had worked out the metro (which is on doorstep of hotel). Staff speak good English and allowed us to leave bags after checking out which saved us trailing them around Paris for a day. Hotel was clean and tidy. The area was great for us with its variety of bars, restaurants and cafes. Very close to Moulin Rouge and Sacre Coeur.
Given the hotel is in the middle of the Paris (red light) district I would not recommend it for families with children.

brilliant area /ok hotel

hotel was very easy to find from the metro line 2 .. we knew the area from reviews that it was the sex capital of paris ..oh yes that is what it was.. but me and my wife have travelled a lot and seen a lot .. so what we saw was not unusual for a district like this... we felt very comfortable around this area as there was a lot of life and atmosfere and it go's on 24/7 never stops .. but never loud ... right up our street..the hotel staff are brilliant ,very helpful and speak good english.rooms are small and pong a bit, maybe thats because they can have pets in the rooms. 3/4 of a bath , so your knees are in your face when you have one ,, have a shower...me coming from ireland when i go for breakfeast i want bacon egg sausage beans...nope its just orange juice , crossiant , bread roll, tea/coffee that is it no boiled eggs or toast as in other reviews.and no food or drink in your rooms,, come on this is paris,, overall .. hotel did the job. ideally situated on the metro , centre of everything that suited us down to earth people,, glad i stayed here than in the centre of paris were its all show offs and sitting outside and showing off some more,, good deal with alphrooms.com

Review of 'ARCANTIS FROCHOT'

I found the hotel to be very clean, freshly remodeled and above all a very friendly staff! The hotel rooms were a bit small but tasteful and airy. There were windows in the bathroom and main room. The bathrooms were wonderful with good water pressure. The breakfast buffett was wonderful. All you could eat and drink, juices, coffee, teas, applesauce, hardboiled eggs and of course crossants, baguets and jellies. The Metro and bus were right next to the hotel. The desk clerks were helpful in showing us on the map were to go and what routes to take. Being in our 60's and a first time travler alone to Europe and not on a tour, this was wonderful! Check in and out were a breeze. I will stay here again. The area of town the hotel is in is definitely Bohemian and colorful. I felt safe the entire trip and that says alot!

Review of 'ARCANTIS FROCHOT'

The Hotel was exceptional value for money. The room size although not large was adequate, and the bed linen, and the en-suite bathroom were very clean. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and unhurried. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Being smokers, we were offered a room which allowed us to smoke. For comfort of the other guests, smoking is not permitted in the dining area. Only negative , (which did not cause any problems) was in the write up under the hotel facilities, which suggested that the hotel had a 24hr cafe/bar, casino, discotheque. These facilities were available in the neighbouring area, not in the actual hotel. Apart from that, great value for money, very enjoyable holiday.
