We found this Hotel very poor and basic. Too far out of Rome. In much need of re-furbishment.

The hotel staff were kind and helpful. The room was well furbished, shower toilet and sink. Lovely hot running water for the shower. The down side was the noise. Noise from loud conversations at night for 1,2,3 hours, from televisions turned up loud, telephone conversations, noise from shoes on tiles, noise from young people especially outside the hotel shouting and letting off fireworks. The hotel night watchman was joy. He sang Paverotti's operas in the car ride to Anagnina metro station. The buses ran frequently to the metro station where the tube ride took about 20 minutes to the centre of Rome. A week pass for 16 euro was well worth it, enabling travel for long or short trips on the buses or metro each day. The hotel breakfast was not a lot, so a mid-morning snack was essential. We had no hotel information brochure in our room and there was very little choice of where to eat in and around the hotel complex. One pizza take away provided good food and welcome company. I would not re-visit this hotel.

I have just returned back from rome staying at the arcadia hotel. The hotel is situated on the outskirts of rome. you can get a metro train and a bus from the airport but the trains are so busy that you would never get on the train with your luggage so it is easier to get a taxi which costs between 30-40 euros. the hotel is very basic you have a tv in your room with sky but there is only 2 channels you can watch which is cnn and mtv.the breakfast is cereal, croissants, bread rolls with jams and marmalade, tea and coffee. There is a bar which is very small that opens at 7pm.there is nothing in the area of the hotel to see and do there is a supermarket around the back of the hotel and a small pizza shop.To get into Rome you have to get a bus from outside the hotel to the train metro station which takes 10mins then catch the metro from Anagnina into the centre which takes around 20 mins, you can buy a 3day pass which costs 11. euros.

Getting to the hotel from the airport was a nightmare as we were unaware that the bus didn't stop at the hotel on Sunday but stopped at the main road busstop. We consequently did'nt get off and ended up doing a tour of Rome finally ending up at the hotel five hours later!
On arrival we were however made very welcome and comfortable in our room which, although basic, was clean and functional.
We found all the staff including the part owner/manager responded to a smile and an attempt to speak Italian and could not have been more happy to answer our many and varied questions.
The breakfast was fine if a little samey but set us up for the day until ice cream time which allowed us to make the most of the day sightseeing.
We chose this hotel as it is cost effective and functional and as we came to Rome to see Rome and not to spend time sitting in a hotel it served our purpose admirably.
