AQUARIUM II
28 June 2008
we arrived late , had to go and collect our room keys for the alpha apartments, and paid a deposit of 100 euros which you recieve back at the end of your stay. which we know by the reviews we had read before going.
when we arrived to our apartment we were greated by a nice couple who own a bar straight in front of the aquarium ii, crazy j's , they made us feel welcome and the full english breakfasts are great.
drinks are cheap and the nightlife is wicked.
rooms are small but you get what you pay for!!!

We arrived late and also had to chase the key, but knew this before we went. I do think it should be mentioned about the deposit - we paid £80 and if you depart outside of office hours, you have to have money returned either to your bank card or postal order. All in all we had a great time at the Acquarium ii, mainly by the staff at the Mad Munk who couldn't be more helpful. Would return again, but in a 1 bed apartment, rather than a studio

i live in benidorm, family were visiting and needed acommodation,i booked acuarium11 via alpha rooms for them, the apartments were clean, equiped with all that was needed, location excellent, near shops, bars ,resturaunts, bus stop and beach, the apts had a pool and sunbeds for hire,a deposit of 100 euros was required returned on departure, however if your arrival is late keys have to be collected elsewhere and returned elsewhere if the office is closed ie..sunday.this involves taking a taxi.apart from this my family were very pleased with the acommodation and will definitely book this acommodation again and recommend it to friends.

clean but never again!.
19 March 2008
I arrived on the tues night around 8pm at the hotel and couldnt get in! There was a sign on the door to say you had to collect the keys from the travel office next door to the apartment but the closed and kindley left a note on the window to say left keys at another hotel! at this point i was really annoyed i had to take a taxi which was almost 10 euros round trip to collect the key for the apartment.
The apartment its self was clean but small which is what i expected for the money.
The out door pool was shut off until the day we were coming home which was most annoying and finally later in the week we got stuck in the lift and didnt know what to do we pressed the alarm button and it dialed a number where there was a spanish women on the other end who didnt speak english and hung up 3 times!!!! my friend managed to open the door and we were between the 4 and 5th floor and had to climb out!.......This was the worst holiday ever i do not blame alpharooms in anyway just the apartment.

Review of Aquarium 11
30 May 2007
Accomadation as per other peoples comments were clean and tidy. The only problem was that there are 3 lifts. 1 was out of order and it would take up to 20 mins to get a lift. Not ideal if you have a young family and a pram! otherwise o.k.

Third visit to Acuarium (note spelling) II. Perfectly good budget accommodation. Good location near to night life, indoor and outdoor markets, with "Plus" supermarket (like aldi!) just round corner. If you are arriving any time out of office hours you will need to collect your keys from Alpha appartments. nbsp; Will be booking Acuarium again for next October - you can't beat the value. Another great holiday courtesy of Alpharooms.

Review of 'AQUARIUM II'

If your looking for somewhere clean, basic and cheap to stay as a base for your holiday then these apartments are just the thing. Went in July 2006 with my friend for a girls holiday and stayed on the 20th floor. Once you get used to the lifts and the height it's fine but that first look down is a bit scary. The apartment was clean and the maid came in once during our stay to change the towels (they dont provide new loo roll though). The rooms can be a bit hot so a fan is a good idea. They charge 2 euros a day for a sunbed at the pool but it wasn't really busy as there are a lot of residents live in the Aquarium 11 and Aquarium 111 thier sister block which they share the pool facilities with. Something that wasn't mentioned was that their is a 100 euro deposit required when collecting your keys which you get back upon inspection of your room at the end of your stay so dont forget to take a bit extra money with you for that. The beach is only about a 5/10 minute walk away and the main square for drinking and nightlife is about a 10 mins walk although a taxi is only about 4 euros. All in all not bad little apartments for what we paid for them after all you pay for what you get.

Excellent location, right in the middle of everything you need! We stayed on the top floor, the 22nd!!! Really good view, kind of a pain in the lifts as they took a while and when it was windy, you knew about it!
The apartments were good, basic but you get what you pay for. Rather crowded if there are four of you, as we were. Will be getting a two-bedroomed apartment next time. Pillows were tiny so might be a good idea to bring your own.
Pool was lovely, everyone was dead friendly and I would definitely recommend Snooks across the road - British family run pub with lovely staff and a wicked breakfast!

In our party we had a 16 and 5 year old. Would definitely go back as location is good and the pool area was very good with lifegaurd. We were on 3rd floor so lifts weren't an issue but could be if higher up as they do take quite long when on your floor. Everyone who worked there was very friendly and polite. The rooms (we had a room to sleep 4) were adequate only down point was no air con so peak season was a bit uncomfortable with heat for me but this wouldn't put me off going back. For the price we paid I was extremely happy with these apartments and would definitely go back.

Room was a little on the small side for a family of four, view was outstanding, staff and other guests were friendly and polite. Great location central to everything. One area which could be improved is storage for cases when departing they do have storage but this is closed between 1.00pm and 5.00pm so if you depart beween these hours you are stuck with all your luggage. Overall for what we paid for the accomodation and flights fantastic cheap holiday would definitely book again.
