Quite Location
27 May 2008
Me and 5 friends stayed at this hotel for my 27th birthday. We found the staff at reception friendly and helpful, when we arrived at the hotel we were too early too go to our rooms but we left our bags in reception and they had not been touched and were safe when we arrived back 11 hours later. This hotel is great if you want to experience the cultural side of Amsterdam as it is located a 10 minute walk from the muesem district, It is easy to get the number 2 tram which brings you right into Central Station, however we found it a very pleasent 40 minute walk though all areas of the City to get to the hussle and bussle of the main tourist areas.
Our room was rather small as we had booked 2 triple rooms but it all added to the experience of staying in a propper "DAM" house.
Breakfast was a typical dutch buffet style but you could have as many servings as you wished!
All in all the hotel was very clean and hygenic and we really enjoyed our stay here!

Apple Inn Hotel October 2007
31 October 2007
This hotel was comfortable and quiet. A short tram ride from the hustle and bustle of main Amsterdam. Breakfast was plentiful, if a little limited in choice, and the heater in our room was wonderful ! Lovely hot showers, comfortable beds, everything you need for a short stay.

This was our second time staying at the Apple Inn we stayed last November (06) and had a brilliant time. We were however slightly disappointed as this time the room was not as pleasant, broken electric sock, not as big (even though we had re-booked a double), poor lighting, breakfast seemed much poorer this year and room didn't smell fresh. Although the reception staff are helpful and it is within easy reach of the centre, the tram being just around the corner! We would stay again but hopefully the room will be like we had on our first visit in 2006! This was for our 18th Wedding Anniversary!

Basic but just right!

Very, very conventient position for visiting Amsterdam and situated in lovely area, walking distance from all the attractions, but also conveniently situated for no. 2 tram. Breakfast fantastic, as much as we wanted. Having BBC1 & 2 TV was great . Only critisisms were the broken hairdryer in bathroom and lack of tea making facilities

The hotel is easy to find once you get your bearings. You hop on the number 2 tram and its about 15 minutes away. Advice would be to buy a 6.50euro travel ticket, which last 24 hours. The conductors on the trams are polite and helpful. It costs 20e for a cab from central station so a tram is a nice way to take in the places you can access. The famous Bulldog coffee shop on route, plus van gogh and rembrant so you carnt go wrong! The staff at the hotel were very, very friendly and on asking how to get to certain places ie anne frank house, van gogh museum, tulip museum their directions were spot on. The hotel is in a lovely location. A bar/cafe/restuarant at the bottom of the road does the best tuna nicose salad i have had in years! We are 100% going back their next year and also informing friends who intend on visiting. We cannot think of a single thing wrong with our stay. Word of advice, leave your hotel at least 2 1/2 hours before your flight as the departure lounge for flights home is a fair bit away from entrance to shipol airport. Hey i even got searched in customs and even they were great! Carnt wait to go back:-)

The room was basic but very clean. On arrival the staff were very friendly and helpfull. They explained how you could get into the nearest square by foot and where all the trams stopped etc. The hotel is situated a 15min tram ride from the centre of Amsterdam. The tram which is no.2 stops almost outside the hotel which is ideal. We had a really enjoyable weekend.

The apple inn is situated in in a great positon on one of the best tram routes about ten minutes into the centre with some great stops/ places of interest along the way. The rooms are basic but very clean and tidy. The breakfast room is small but pleasant and the breakfast is very basic (rolls, jams, cheese, cold meat, coffee etc served by very pleasant staff. All our party aggreed that we would stay at this hotel again on our return to Amsterdam. A fine base for a short break. p.s. The steep stairs could be a problem for some people.

A beautiful, clean and well maintained Dutch home with 12 foot ceilings, plenty of light and space. Breakfast was a delightful experience with boiled eggs in a covered basket, butter, jam and cold cuts to go on a variety of breads and bread rolls. Muesli cereal with milk and cream was a nice addition. Bottomless cups of tea, coffee and fruit juices made an enjoyable breakfast in the three dining areas with beautiful murals on the walls, lots of windows to let in the light and views into a lush green garden and also onto the street. To work off an excessive breakfast, walk through Vondel Park which is two minutes away, to the centre of town. An experience to remember!

The hotel was very good for what we wanted, not too far away from the centre but far enough to have peace and quiet. A couple of pointers for the hotel owners are that they could do with putting teamaking facilities in the rooms and the breakfast wasn't very good, in fact it was terrible but the rooms were very clean, just lacked a few home comforts. Would stay there again!
