Fine, fine, fine!

24 August 2008
The rooms were basic, but had everything you needed! There was 6 of us three in each room... unfortunatly my friends didnt mention they would want air conditioning, they thought that it was just standard to have it, and had to leave the door open at nights. Bites galore! You have to pay for your air conditioning which was news to us! Thought our room was nice on the 6th floor, no bugs and everything seemed to be cleaned regulary, a little bit quiet for our likings but still a nice apartment for really good price, and it was only around 4 euro's to get into Magaluf and very close to a beach. Couldn't complain!

Great basic accommodation

24 August 2008
Myself and two other friends stayed for 5 days in these apartments. While we are all student we were looking for very basic, clean and comfortable accommodation...This is exactly what we got here. We all stayed in the one room with our own bed. There was a microwave, washing machine and toaster in the small kitchenette. The bathroom was small but ample. One small downside was our water tank was leaking in the kitchen. We told housekeeping but not much was done to solve the problem. The pool was great. Very clean and reasonable. Staff were friendly. he apartments are a walk away from magaluf and within walking distance to spar shops and a lovely beach. All in all i would well advise anyone one a budget holiday to stay here.

Had the basics

15 August 2008
The hotel was very basic, the pool was nice although spent most of the time at the beach as it was a 2 minute walk. The room was simple with two beds and a sofa bed and bathroom was clean. Upon arrival we struggled finding the recpetion untill someone kindly helped us, it has a green door. The hotel was quiet at night and would recommend this hotel for families and friends who want to go to the strip but get sleep after. The strip was within walking distance but only 3-5 euros in a taxi and bcm we got a cab to all the time although still within walking distance. I would reccomend this for both family holidays and friend holidays if looking for just the basics.

Good for a cheap girlie holiday

15 August 2008
For what we wanted the room for, it did the job. It was perfect for us. It was cheap, not too far from Magaluf centre (10 minute walk) and had quite comfy beds. Being three 17 year old girls looking for a great clubbing holiday, this couldnt have been any better for us. The beach was across the road even though we didnt really go during the day as we was to busy sleeping/recovering. We had the polish security guard staying in the room next to us but he didnt seem to care if we was loud. It was mostly spanish people though but we didnt speak to them. We had a massive ants nest in our kitchen but that was our own fault for leaving the haribos out on the side upopened. We had a hob, microwave, toaster, fridge and plates and stuff. The maid came to change our towels once aswell. They charge for the aircon but its worth getting because before we got it my friend fainted and cracked her head open, but luckily theres an english hospital just down the road. We also had to pay for the safe so altogether for aircon and safe it was 45euros split between us but you get 9euros back as it is a deposit. The aircon leaked really badly on the balcony and it got a little flooded but it dries quickly. Dont leave anything hanging on the balcony either because 2 towels and a bikini top blew away but its alright if you go bcm because they give out free ones :) Also make sure you go to a foam party at some point they are so funny. And watch out for the spanish men in BCM if your a girl because they are perverts. If you go to the strip look out for the black men selling things shouting "hello chicken nugget" its really funny but it means "hello cheap white meat." Anyway thats it; id recomend it definately its just what you need if you dont plan on spending much time indoors, didnt really see any famillies staying there though. If your staying in room 704 look behind the photo frame and you will see Char Grace Rach hitting maga 08.08. Would stay again.

nice place

15 August 2008
theres 2 los palomas ..in same block so its .os palomas 1.&2..check ur key it has room number on and either 1 or 2 so u know where u are..as we got no help .sussed orselves we asked for low floor as i was with a pensioner of 70 and got put on 6th floor shes scared of hights..apart from that nice and basic ,enjoyed our stay and will be going again soon, shops beach all close by pool spotless ,theres a life guard.its wrong you have to pay for air con when your paying 60 pound a night..and just having a basic room...apart from the little bit of moaning ive done really enjoyed it..main thing away from magaluf where you get no sleep at all, this place was quiet

fine for a girls or lads holiday

31 July 2008
The room was basic but all you need. Three of us stayed in one room. It had a small bathroom and kitchen which contained a fridge, sink, washing machine, toaster and hob. Cutlery etc were provided. The air conditioning was well worth paying for, its not too much and kept our room really cool! The pool is clean and has a lifeguard, loungers are 2 Euro's per day. The hotel as such didn't have a reception which we found a little strange, you just had to knock and wait at a door near the lift. Although at night there was security. Room's weren't cleaned daily which was a pain. The cleaners came once during our week stay to change towels and replenish toilet roll. When we asked the manager for clean towels he was reluctant to give us any and told us that the cleaners would be coming in the next day or two. One really bad point about the apartment... we did kill a cockroach in our room :( speaking to others tho they didn't have this problem. All in all the hotel was in a good location (4Euro taxi from magaluf strip), beautiful white sandy beach opposite, nice and clean pool area, plenty of places to eat. Fine for a group of young people on a clubbing holiday

very good value

22 June 2008
very good if basic self catering apartments. after reading some of the reviews was a little bit apprehensive about going. however on arrival got a nice clean room, the bedding was changed twice and the apartment was cleaned three times. the bar underneath also does great meals so we ate out most of the time. would definately return as we could find no real fault , just a good value for money holiday

ideal location

30 May 2008
Returned on 7th May 2008. On first arrival couldn't find reception, no one seemed to know where it was, After knocking on a couple of doors, finally found reception. We had an apartment on the 9th floor, great views and near to the beach, the apartment was very clean, sheets and towels changed twice a week. Friendly staff. Grandaughter absolutely loved it. A pity we can't book for next year but we now have 2 grandaughter's and none of the rooms cater for 2 children, otherwise I would definitely go again

Great value

16 May 2008
After reading the reviews, I requested a room on a high floor, and they gave us a studio on the 9th floor. It was lovely and clean and had a fabulous view of the sea from the balcony. There was some noise a couple of nights, and a lot of mosquitoes around but can't blame the apartment for that! Fab location and nice staff, brilliant value.

29 April 2008
I have just come back from staying at this hotel. I was on my stag weekend and all we wanted was a room with a bed, toilet and shower. We got all of those and they were in good condition, but we also got a kitchen along with a great view over the balcony. This is situated far enough away from magaluf's main strip, but close enough to walk off all the alcohol!! I would highly recommend this place if you are going on a stag or hen do, because I doubt you could beat the price. Overall this was a great place to stay with a great little pool!!

Not bad at all

First flat dirty, noisy and insect infested. Asked to move - manager very friendly and helpful - moved to very nice flat on seventh floor. Still a bit noisy but good value for the price. Great location for beach, shops etc. Would stay there again.

A cheap and cheerful deal

19 September 2007
We are both at the mature end of young couple (over 30), so maybe expect a bit more than when we were 18, but this apartment did fit the bill. After reading various reports of this accomodation, I was dreading going. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I got there. The apartment was very clean. The decor needed updating a bit, but you only get what you pay for. I didn't pay for 5 star, nor did I expect it. The maid came in to clean and change the towels 3 times in the week that I was there. The apartments are literally only 50 yards from Palma Nova beach and only a 10 minute walk into Magaluf strip. I found it a bit difficult to find the reception, but when I did, they couldn't have been more helpful. I'd booked a room with aircon, so didn't have to pay extra. I was in an apartment on the seventh floor with good views of the bay of Palma. Palma nova is very nice, but not much to do except sunbathe or drink. Anyone seeking culture should head into Palma itself, which is fabulous. Magaluf was just full of young lads that were either drunk or high. If you like that fine, if you don't, there are plenty of bars to choose from in Palma Nova. If I ever returned I would stay in this accomodation again as I think it represents excellent value for money and is very conveniently located for all the local facilities.

Ideal

20 July 2007
I've just returned from a week long stay and found the apartments ideal. My friends and I decided that the decor was 'retro chic'!!but the flat was extremely clean. The pool was great and all the staff were really nice(even the security guard if you spoke a little spanish to him!).Brilliant location, right by the beach (ask for a sea view apartment), near loads of cafe's and bars but not noisy at night which is really good. The apartments had a real mix of holiday makers, groups of young people, families, couples of all ages so I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap and cheerful holiday apartment!

Could,nt fault a single thing, afrter reading some of the reviews i was slightly concerned re what i had booked, we were originally to stay in Kensington App,s but 1 week before departure we were advised of overbooking and were changed to las palomas mmm bit scary as i had booked for family and friends and my children aged 4 and 6, we all loved the apps ideally located, very spacious even had a washing machine, we had a room on the 9th floor and wow what a view, pool was cleaned every day, maide came in once a week with clean towels and bedding if required, staff were friendly not that we saw them much which for us this was ideal. Being November Palmanova was quiet but not as much as Magaluf it was dead but still beautiful could,nt fault a thing for the price this was ***PERFECT****

I like Las Palomas for its location. I do not quite like the building itself. You have optional aircon which to me is not convenient as you have to pay in advance to get a remote control. It may be that you will need it in the middle of the night.

The pool is nice. The restaurant is also very good.

Arrived late due to flight delay. Booking in (even at gone midnight) was very easy and friendly. Rooms were basic but spotless and very functional. Lots of room for luggage and aircon worked very well. Views from the balcony were superb and far enough away from the strip to be nice and quiet. Swimming pool was lovely, very clean and very well maintained.

If you are looking for low cost accommodation which is clean, quiet and very friendly then you'd be hard pushed to beat the Las Palomas apartments.

We have recently recently returned from the Las Palomas in Palma Nova and we could not find a fault with it in anyway.
The rooms were spacious and clean the pool area wad big. The location of the hotel ws ideal with a 2 minute walk to the beachfront and approx 5-10 min walk to the strp. The hotel was in a good quiet locaton with bars and restaurants on the doorstop. And for the price we paid for it, it was ideal. Will definitely be returning there x

My husband and I stayed here for a fortnight along with our son. daughyer in law and their 2 year old baby.
Originally we were booked into Kensington Apts Magalluf , but building work hadn.t finished in time.
The owner of the Apartment met us on arrival. At first glance the Apt block did not look that inviting . The entrance was between shops. As their is no reception it can be confusing knowing where to go to book in.Currently the brown door at the side of the rear of the bar.

We were shown to our rooms on the 7th floor - there are two lifts- and were pleasantly surprised by the accommodation. We had a good sized balcony with furniture overlooking the pool with sea view. The studios are large .as you walk in bathroom to left and kitchen to right. We had twin geds plus a bed settee so are suitablefor 3 people only, We had 2 studios next door to each other.
One of our studios to my deep joy was equiped with an automatic washing machine and both had air con / heater.
Two ring cooker only and the bath is only half size , but with a shower. For the price we paid it was brilliant.
We had everything on our doorstep, the beach, shops , bars . restaurants, buses, tourist info . and taxi rank.
Lidl suoermarket is not far away worth doing a big shop when you arrive. be sure to have a taxi number handy as their isnt a rank at the supermarket if you have a lot to carry.
Magalluf is easy walking distance. We ate out every night and never had a bad meal. The bar at the apartments is excellent and the meals most reasonable. we also liked food at Lady Diana nearby and the Chinese opposite was the best I have eaten in.
The nearest lively bar was Banana Joes - good atmosphere and brilliant D.J.

All things considered we had a great time and would reccommend to anyone on a budget who is happy with basic accommodation.

Very impressed with the cleanliness of these apartments, and quite well equiped for what we paid for them. There was no reception to speak of, just a green door with a bell, and a caretaker who gave us our key and asked us to vacate our room by 11am next week.   He did allow us to put our cases in until we were due to leave.  Good value for money.  Would not hesitate to go back.   Only complaint, you have to pay for sunbeds.

We thought the apartment was very good for the price we paid (from the booked taxi there and back from the airport which was good and on time). The apartment was clean and tidy the fridge was a Godsend and was in the middle of where we like in Palmanova. The keys handover was smooth and the man in the office phoned the taxi people for us to go to the airport to come home. We liked the bar and the food it served - we found all the staff very friendly and they went out of their way to serve you. We will use your apartments again .

We was really nervous about going to these apartments after reading last years reviews, however got a shock when we got there as it was lovely. The apartment was very clean and spacious also had good kitchen fascilities. Maid service was frequent so we always had a clean apartment. The pool was large, only thing was that after a few days it got quite sharp the bottom with gravel and stuff. The staff and lifeguards were very friendly. The downside to these apartments was no air con, but there's a hire service for fans down the road. This is perfect for young people and its easy to meet people and socialise by the pool. The noise levels weren't high so if u want a good night sleep you'd be able to get one :) I highly recommend these apartments and its not too far a walk to the strip.

Great location, close to beach, bars and magaluf. Very pleased with the apartment considering the price we paid.  Although it was basic it was ideal for a group of young girls.  I wouldn't recommend Las Palomas to a family with young children as it can be noisy at times. Basic accommodation, but clean. If you just want somewhere as a base and somewhere to put your head down - great. Had very noisy neighbours, but this can happen in any apartments. Apartments are noisy, with an 'indoor football tournament' seemingly taking place in the next apartment, but this was expected. Accomodation is very basic and should not be booked by travellers expecting any level of luxury within their accomodation. But, we did not pay 'luxury' prices. Kithchen and bathroom within our apartment were well due an update.
Location is excellent being a very short walk to a nice beach, close to bars shops and 'nightlife'.
No reception area, as such. Keys are obtained by knocking on the door marked 'information'.

i have stayed at las palomas a number of times, since it has been refurbished its a great place to stay, straight out of the door turn left and palma nova is on your doorstep, turn right and magaluf is a pleasnt stroll of about ten mins, the apartments are clean and so is the bedding! with all the facilities you need for a self catering holiday.
the pool area is spotless with a small bar.
if you like the idea of being close to both resorts and still being able to sleep at night (magaluf can be noisy) then you won't go wrong with las palomas apartments...and i am returning this september.
