would book again!!
24 June 2008
Me an the girls have just come back from this apartment and didnt want to leave i could honestly say it has been one if the best hotls iv stayed in. It is very lively so i would say to all you young ones out there go for it, you dont really see much of the owners and they dont speak much english but at least they let you get on with your holiday and let you have a fun one without all the moaning! The room is much bigger then i thought an has everything you need for a girly/lads hol! The only thing that could fault it is that you cannot check in before 11.00 so if you was like us who gets ther for 3.30 they will leave you waiting outside which isnt very good but apart from that i would defo go again with the girlys, also it is very close to everything the strip is a 2 min walk and with the beach a 4 min walk you cannot go wrong, the apartment doesnt have a pool but other hotles will welcome you with a smile, which is nice. also there is a shop under as well which sells everything and a little giftshop which you can change travellers cheques also. you cannot pick a perfect spot if you want an eventful lively hol! have fun!!! june 08

basic adquate out of season accomodation
28 October 2007
we stayed Oct 2007. The room was basic and clean, with kitchen area and bathroom recently renewed. Each room has a view of the street. In or out of season a great spot.Palmanova is to the left out of the front door and Magaluf to the right with Palmanova beach 50 mts. The owners downstairs are very helpful when you are able to get them to understand what you need, (you may have to request a saucepan or something which hasn't been needed over the summer). Not easy to find, there are no big signs - its opposite the Poonan Indian restaurant. Money couldn't pay me to stay here over the summer but then I am the wrong side of 50.The apartments seem suited for budget conscious travellers with realistic expectations. A small English - Spanish dictionary is a must for communicating with the owners.

Good enough!
27 September 2007
Good enough. Went with a few of the lads for a week. We didn't see the owners all week. The rooms are basic and clean, though I don't think much of the shower. We pretty much drank it up all night with the music blurring until sometimes 8am and didn't receive any bother. To cap it off - it's basic, cheap. .. so who cares? Would book again!

brilliant
13 September 2007
3 lads and a girl stayed for a week at the beggining of august, clean rooms, much better than we expected, excellent views, oposite poco locos and everything you need is sold in the shop downstairs, tonnes of quality resteraunt nearby and only 2 minutes from the strip, beach was a minutes walk away and could be seen from the balcony, kitchen was ok, fridge for keepin drinks cool, comfy beds, bathroom was clean and everything worked. would deffinately reccomend to any young groups heading out to magalluf, no for old people, no air conditioning which was the only bad point, but for the money you save, go and buy a fan for 10 € down the road :D:D:D

full of suprises..
09 September 2007
These apartments were better than i expected the rooms were clean and free from crawlies.. Its quite noisy so dont expect much sleep, it was more noisier in the morning as the trucks deliver the food stock for the supermarket dead early every day, but at night it was ok you hear the occasional singing from drunken women but when ur drunk that doesnt matter. The beach is literally 2 min walk no exageration and places to eat are also about 3 mins away. The only problem about this place was the owners do not i mean do not speak a word of english- our front door was hanging off and we were tryin to explain that we hadnt done it and they just kept on showing us how to open and lock the door so dont expect any advice or tips on the resort- plus you never see them! but all in all it was a great little place oh yeh dont leave your room a mess otherwise you will lose your deposit!

Good for the money......
04 July 2007
This hotel is ideal for a group of friends. There was 4 of us, all lads and all in our 20's. For us it was ideal, basic, somewhere to put your head and most of all cheap. If you're looking for somewhere with luxuries or that is quiet then this place isn't for you but then again if your looking for somewhere quiet then Magaluf isn't probably for you. As for the owners, I'm not sure what people on here are talking about as they can bearly speak Spanish let alone English. We tried to book extra nights and ended up with toilet rolls!!

What else do people expect for 15 pounds a night. Excellent and remember everyone, when you go to spain the locals speak spanish. Why do english always assume everyone speaks their languge. Come on, as long as the service is good and pleasant, clean rooms, hot water, what else do you want for 15 pounds. A spanish lesson would cost more.

I was a quite good apartment, basic but really good. The most impressive thing was not the beach in Mallorca, for us it was the 2 people who received us Juan Manual and his wife Manuela, they are very friendly and their service was excellent, they were available 24 hours a day and helped us at any time. We called them Mr. and Mrs.Service. We very much enjoyed our stay there, thanks for everything.

Review of 'APARTMENTS KENSINGTON' FANTASTIC!!
21 September 2006
The rooms were very basic but they had everything you needed in there. We had a prime spot in the apartments as we were on the first floor and could see straight into yate's and Poco Loco so we knew when things were starting to get busy! The bathroom was new and the beds were comfortable. Although the owners could speak EXTREMELY little english, they were very friendly and always said good morning to you. Oh and for the lads, the hotel is situated next to 'HEAVEN' which is the strip club of Magalluf! I've booked up for next year at the same apartments already! Excellent!

We have just returned from a week in Magaluf, staying at the Kensington Apartments. The rooms are basic but very clean. The bathroom looks new and the shower and everybody elses who we spoke to works great, unlike other reviews have mentioned. Right in the heart of Magaluf, but not actually on the strip, it is very lively, but that is what we wanted as we like to watch the hustle and bustle while we are relaxing on our balcony.Right next to the beach also, so you don't miss a pool.Yes, the owners dont speak english but we managed to communicate. After all they must have heard the same questions asked over and over. There was one night when one group of lads got relly rowdy and the landlady through them straight out, and you wont get better than that in any apartments. All in all we expected what we got and were happy, clean basic apts to use as a base for a week of sun, sea and sangria!

Excellent could,nt complain about anything with these apps or the owners they were very approachable they could speak a little English. The apps were basic but were very clean just got back 31/03/2006 and would go straight back to these apps if i could the balcony faced right on the front street which was very lively so probaly no good for families as noise may be too much but overall in one word ***EXCELLENT*** Big thanks to Alpha rooms and Kensington App for memorable holliday

Review of 'APARTMENTS KENSINGTON'
29 November 2005
we went in november for a 5 day trip. I thought for the price that we paid the apartments would be flea pits but they were clean although very basic, that suited us as we were out most days & nights anyway. My husband called the caretaker SuperMario as he & his wife did not speak much English, but we muddled through & even managed to get him to understand we wanted a safe. We were never bothered by him or his wife all holiday & she let us stay in apartment until our taxi picked us up at 16:30hrs free of charge, or at least i think she did as she said no problemo. These apartments were gr8 in november as all the clubs are closed so no noise but plenty of english bars just around the corner. There was no heating & it was quite cold but we had plenty of hot water comfy beds. For around £15 a night i can't fault it. Beware though in season as im sure these apartments will be quite different.

I was with a group of lads on a golfing trip so we were looking for basic accommodation. This place is exactly that. The apartment is quite big but the bathroom small, with a shower that barely works. The location is spot on if you want a central location but BEWARE of the noise at night !!!! From about 3.30am to 6.00am when the pubs start kicking out to the nightclubs closing the noise is terrible. I would say this place is ideal for younger people looking for a cheap, central location but not for families or anyone who likes to sleep at night.

Dont be put off by what it looks like - the rooms are quite big (basic but ok). the kitchen wasn't the best but was far from the worst and the beds were comfy!!! I would say the only problems were no pool which does get boring and the flashy neon for poco locos which faces you and is really really annoying. overall i would say you get what you pay for. your not paying hundreds and hundreds so your not going to get a stunning hotel but you're in the centre of the nightlife (bananas and carwash and a minute walk literally) and BCM is about 5ish minutes. i probabaly wouldnt go back if i had more money to spend but if i was on the same budget yeah i would go back. i have no complaints about the owners either.they can speak english not fantastic english but they can understand you. the man was really nice to us and let us keep the room on our last day instead of kicking us out at 10am (our flight was 11.30pm). the place is amazing and i didn't want to come home. i would go back now if i could!!!!

Review of 'APARTMENTS KENSINGTON'
08 August 2005
Right off the bat here we need to get a few things straight, you need to ask yourself, "What type of holiday am i looking for?"... If its anything other than a low cost, heart of the action, lads or lass' party holiday then i'm afraid there is no point in reading anymore of this review! Still with me eh? Ok lets get to the interesting bits... Location - Need i say more than from my balcony i could see certain lapdancing club called Heaven! Anything else i mention about location is downhill from there, but if you really must know. The apartments are situated about 50 - 100 yds away from the beach (so who needs a pool) and there are a multitude of supremarkets within the immedaite vicinity (watch out here though as prices do vary wildy from shop to shop). Know everyone knows that people who are going to Magaluf are pretty much going for one thing only - The Bars and Clubs! 20yds up the road is a club you may have heard off called Banana's so as you can guess we're pretty much in the heart of the action here. Altough to be fair the apartments are quite nicely situated just on the outskirts of the main strip of bars etc, close enough so everything is less than a few mins walk but far enough away from the abundance of drunken revelers staggering about the streets. All in all for the kind of hol i'm sure your looking for (you did read on need i remind you) its pretty much perfectly located! The apartment itself - Clean and tidy, what more do you need? There are four single beds, two in the front room and two in a bedroom that leads to the bathroom. Sheets are clean and changed often enough (twice in a weeks stay) and altough old, furniture is fine. The balcony overlooks the street and has a table and chairs (perfect for those early nights with a few beers watching pepole walk past in various states of drunkeness!) As mentioned before there is no pool but with the beach so close i didn't miss it at all!. The lady who runs this place is crazy and lives downstairs, she jabbers at you in Spanish constantly (even though none of us can speak a word) but with hand gestures and guess work, everyone gets what they want!. The main downsides are:- The shower was a shocking affair and toilet had the worst flushing action i'd ever seen (not the best on a diet mainly consisting of alcohol i can tell you). Lack of pool will put some off but bear in mind this really isn't a place for families anyway!

Review of 'APARTMENTS KENSINGTON'
11 July 2005
If you want a nice relaxing holiday then forget this place.
If you want a good stag / hen weekend on the cheap then this is the place for you.
When you're paying this amount of money then you are going to get basic, very basic. The most important thing for the lads on the stag do was as long as it's clean and it met our expectations.
Old furniture, well who cares, the beds were comfortable (4 singles in each apartment). Kitchen area very basic, but the fridge worked so it kept the water / beer cold.
22 blokes, all thought the apartment was good for what they had paid (about £36 for 3 nights). The only negative was that the people didn't speak a word of english, lucky for us we had a few people that spoke some Spanish.
If you want a pool and / or air con then book somewhere else, you want cheap and clean right in the heart of the action and 50 yards from the beach this is just fine.
