Quite good .. but the town is a bit dull.

09 March 2008
A good hotel, in quite a nice position overlooking the rocky bay. Great apartments and internal leisure area with pools. Excellent breakfast, which kept us satisfied for most of the day. A few niggles, like the bedroom windows opening out onto the common thoroughfares - no privacy there. No heating in the rooms either. It is not always very warm in Corralejo! I think our chief disappointment was with the town itself, which appears to exist only because of the tourists. It must have been there before, of course, but it is difficult to find the evidence. If you like to spend a week wandering up and down the tourist beat that's fine, but we got a bit bored. Too lazy to hire a car, though, so partially our fault. Weather good, but a bit cool for a beach holiday in march.

Really pleased and relieved!

28 February 2008
When we booked this we were a little worried by the odd dodgy review but I cannot stress more how good these apartments are - accomodation was large, clean and better than expected. Pool area really lovely, big balcony off the room and a cracking supermarket within the complex. We heard one couple complain about lack of beach by the Hesperia but it is only a 5min walk to the beaches by 'in town' (which are lovely) and its a really nice walk past the surfers and the harbour to get there. Loved the island, as we had expected it to be much less beatuiful - make sure you visit El Cotillo - amazing beaches, lovely fishing village and an amazing sunset at 7pm.

great location and value for money

26 February 2008
I booked a week earlier for a weeks stay at the Bristol Playa in February and got a great deal for self catering 1 bed apartment. I requested room on high floor with balcony and sea views, and that is exactly what we got. The ground floor apartments near the pool are ideal if youve got kids, so you can pop in and out if needs be, but if you like a bit of privacy you want a room on 1st or 2nd floor. The hotel is excellent for the cost, rooms are nice with modern bathroom and the pool area is lovely with plenty of sun beds. Its a nice walk along the front if you turn right as you leave the hotel and this takes you past the harbour and restaurants to the main street where the bars are. Some good ones are the San Miguel bar which is good for Football and music as it has lots of big screens. The seven pints bar in the square is decent aswell but if you like cheap booze, sport and karaokee pay a visit to the Alpha 2 bar at the bottom of the main street, newly owned by Bob from Leicester who is a really nice bloke. If you turn left out of the hotel and take your 2nd right it takes you right up to a big supermarket for everything you need. The best beach and dunes are a fair treck but its a nice walk on a good day. Good holiday, good hotel and easy booking with alpharooms.

Great stay

06 February 2008
We stayed for a week in the Hesperia at the end of January and found it to have everything we needed and more. It had more than you could want with a pool, bike rental, tennis courts, on site shop and laundrette. The rooms were lovely and big with a fully stocked kithcen and cleaned regularly. The walk to town along the promenade takes 5 minutes and has great views. There is nothing I can think of to change except if you are looking for a mad holiday of boozing as it is relatively quiet at night. The value of this hotel I think could not be matched, as we paid less for a week here than a weekend in Ireland. I recommend to all!

Review of 'APARTMENTS HESPERIA BRISTOL PLAYA'

22 January 2008
We've stayed here for a week from 13th of January and couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. With our rental car we've seen most of the island and have looked at other hotels, but in our opinion the Hesperia in Corralejo offers the best location (only a 5 minute walk to the restaurants/shops), the best view (over the ocean, you can see Lanzarote and Los Lobos), and nearby there are many beaches for swimming and surfing. When making our reservation through alpharooms.com we asked for a seaview room in one of the upper floor rooms and that’s exactly what we got, even better though. We had 3 balconies, one overlooking the swimming pool (looks great, also at nighttime), and two with seaview. The apartment itself is simple but clean (one small cockroach when we arrived, but that was the only one in 7 days, and in the apartment we found anti-cockroach spray so we could easily get rid of it). Towels were changed every other day, and the maid, who cleaned 5 of 7 days, was very friendly. The kitchen was complete (no need to pay extra for anything) and the bathroom had a bath tube. The only complaint is the amount of hot water. When 2 people having a shower short after each other the hot water runs short. The temperature (23-26 degrees) and the lovely apartment made the trip wonderful and relaxing. We will definitely return to Fuerteventura and then again stay in Hesperia Bristol Playa.

Love this place!  Just come back from our 3rd time over New Year.  The gardens and pool area are so pretty and immaculately looked after.  The rooms are simple but clean, with fresh towels and bed linen every 2 or 3 days.  The position is in our opinion the best in Corralejo - lovely walk into town by the front, or by interesting little streets through the old town.  The day-time pool-bar has little to offer - burgers, chips etc, but the on-site supermarket sells the basics so you can make your own sandwiches for lunch if you prefer.  There are always plenty of sunbeds (except over Christmas and New Year when your have to get up early if you have a preferred space!) and they are quite comfortable.
We will be returning next year.

A very good hotel the rooms were well maintained and regularly cleaned. The grounds and the public areas of the hotel were all  well presented. Without exeption all of the staff I had any contact with were polite and helpful. I cannot think of one bad word to say about this hotel and am planing to take my husband there as a surprise on his birthday in april. I can honestly recommend this hotel and alpha rooms who I will also be using when I book my holiday in april.

These apartments are absolutely beautiful and are spotlessly clean.  The Reception Staff are very helpful and try to make your stay are pleasant as possible.

They are based at the very north point of the island, near the harbour.  The walk to the Music Square takes about 5-10 mins.

I will definately be booking here again.

Complex was kept clean and maintained to a high level, although we were visited by the odd cockroach, but nothing to be concerned about.  The reception were very friendly and accommodating.  We were next to a busy round on the other side of the complex, but were moved to a slightly quieter room. The resort was really nice set in a harbour and the complex was a pleasant 7 minute work into the harbour.  Lots of resturants to choose from.  Best resturant we found and value for money was 'Restuarant Eve' set up the main side street off the harbour. We did hire a Jeep which allowed us to discover some lovely beaches and good surf.  All in all a really enjoyable holiday.

Appartment kitchen well equipped as was the rest of the appartment.  Maid service and towels changed every other day.  Management and staff polite and helpful.  Complex kept clean, neat and tidy.  We had an upstairs appartment that offered more privacy but were a little disappointed because we were not able to have a sea view however we will be returning in November via alpha rooms

Review of 'APARTMENTS HESPERIA BRISTOL PLAYA'

15 September 2005
The Hesperia Bristol Playa are very good quality apartments in Corralejo. The rooms are clean and well furnished with a regular maid service. The public areas and pool are more than satisfactory and all the staff were great. If you can request a room which isn't on the ground floor (gives you a bit more privacy) and one which overlooks the pools (looks good lit up at night!). The complex is a fair distance from the famous sand dunes but they are only a 5-6 euro taxi ride away.

All in all, a great complex with good staff and great value for money. I would stay here again for sure.
