Apartmentos Roc Lago Park

Travelled Aug 08. (Rate 3.5 / 5) Beware! These apartments (not Alpharooms fault) have been double booking. After booking in Oct07 a 2bed room, we were very disapointed to find no 2 bed apts available only 1 bed. We had 3 nights in a one bed then were moved. This was happening to everyone that had booked a 2bed. 2 bed - Basic accomodation, clean sheets once a week, towels 2/3. Air con in main bedroom and sitting area. 2nd bedroom small but no air con. Kitchen - fridge, 2 rings & microwave. Kitchen utensils need replacing as going rusty. Kettle 11 Euros per week to hire. Restaurant on site and cafe area - don't bother. Sunbeds are free - be careful as most of them were broken. It started getting busy around the pool about 10am. Even though we had a bad start the entertainment for the kids through the day was good and we did enjoy our holiday. Calan Bosch has plenty of restaurants, recommend Avanti, El Pato & Piccola. The water park is 5 min walk away. Calan Bosch beach is lovely and only a short walk away - good if the waves are up. Plenty buses to Cuitadela 1.75 euros, takes 20 mins. Taxi from airport 60euros.

Basic accommodation. Ask for a kettle. Take a can opener and wine bottle opener. Maid service every 2 days to change towells and loo roll. Not great on the cleaning. Nice pool and bar/snack area reasonably priced. Get up at 7.30 to reserve sunbeds and parasol. Entertainment team bizarrely mime to tapes. Embarrassing to watch. Kitchen area is very small but you can manage. If you get a car go to a hypermarket as Top supermarket charges 6 euros for 2 chicken breasts. 3 euros for basmati rice. Best restaurants we went to were Tropicana and Mr Jaune. The Aquarium was worst and dearest. Food everywhere is only average and expensive.
