very disappointed, expected much better
14 March 2010
having stayed in the fariones hotel before i was disappointed with the apts.i had expected better, apts were very nice and spotlessly clean, but there was a vital ingredient missing, there was absolutly no atmosphere in the place, i feel you pay a little extra to get a little extra, but in this case it was obviously missing, we will NOT be going back to these apts, can get much better value elsewhere in lanzarote. breakfast buffet was ok, thats all just ok.

The Fariones Apartments are clean and spotless .We travelled with Alpha Rooms and their service was excellent .The breakfast was as good as we ever had in any holiday resort and the staff were very friendly ,polite and helpful.Beach towels are available free ,and clean ones every day .We went to the Fariones Aparthotel a few minutes walk away where there are plenty of sunbeds and two pools .There are plenty of restaurants to cater for all tastes in the old and new town .There are Irish bars in the old town to quench the thirst and even watch Irish tv channels .So Puerto del Carmen has lots to offer for all ages .There are now scales in the reception to weigh your suitcases to avoid excess baggage charges .Yes we will be back to the Fariones Apartments.

Fariones apartments were excellent, a really lovely complex, great location spotless apartments and lovely , friendly and helpful staff. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, breakfast was very good , great variety every day. I would definitely return but not in high season due to lack of air conditioning.

Fair accomodation good location
01 December 2009
just back from staying in fariones apartments. These apartments were clean and functional. We were on a bed and breakfast basis which was mandatory...I would rate the breakfast as only ok a bit like grand central station with crowds each morning. We got good towels for use at the pool. Speaking about the pool area it is way to tight with too many sun/beds around it...would not like to be there in high season. The apartments were cleaned each day which was good. The staff were pleasant and most importantly the sun shone. Our ground floor apt. was quite hot at night..we asked about rooms with air/con and were told they had none available there were three of us and had paid full price for the apartment..so felt we should have option of air/con.

safe bet but not in very hot weather
09 November 2009
We stayed last week of october 2009,weather was beautiful and temperatures were touching 30.Great location and very well kept .Staff were excellent except for 1 blond manageress in the dining room who went OTT on trying to catch people taking food out (we were b&b) ,came up to our table in the middle of breakfast to tell us if we removed the banana and yogurt next to us on the table then they would charge us for full breakfast -this was while we were still sitting eating !!!.
Week was very hot and ground floor rooms have no air and the room fan only blows warm air so as we had a 2 yr old with us we asked for and got a move to 1st floor which was a little better. Confused about the air con some people mentioned ,I asked at reception and was told there was none.
At these temperatures would only go back to a place with aircon.
Pool is quite small and the loungers filled by 8.30am everyday so uncomfortable with a small child, but beach only minutes away so we spent the days there .
over all good location ,good service but would question the premium price without aircon ,overall safe place to choose if you dont know the resort and are going off season when cooler .

16 October 2009
Central for Puerto Del Carmen resort, nice apartments, especially with the sea view . Staff very friendly & helpful and decent breakfast when staying B&B. Would recommend these apartments to anyone for a relaxing break in Lanzarote.
A bit cramped around the swimming pool but the beach is only a very short walk away.

A very well run apartment complex, but in need of airconditioning
09 August 2009
It was our 1st time staying at the Fariones and undoubtly it was one of the better complexs we have stayed in. We were greeted with complimentary wine and fruit. The apartments were spotless, with the beds made and apartment cleaned daily. The variety of food available for breakfast was good, but some of the hot food wasnt always there, depending on what time you came. Staff were non-intrusive and very pleasant. If you wanted to guarantee a sun lounger by the pool during our stay, you had to be down by 7.00am. You are not allowed to put towels on the loungers to keep them, so someone had to stay with them. One morning there was consternation as one of the caretakers took away towels where nobody was with them. It was extremely hot for the 1st part of our week and the lack of air conditioning was terrible. 40 degrees in the shade and one fan to cool you, was just not sufficient. The fan went off after a certain length of time, as it was on a timer, resulting in you having to keep turning it back on during the night. At a cooler time of the year, the fan would be ok, but at the height of the season it was not enough. Having said that we ould definetly go back again. There was such a relaxed athmosphere and I have to give special mention to Denis the entertainer, he was so good with kids of all ages. There was also some lighthearted entertainment for adults. Will definetly be returning again - but will be requesting airconditioning this time (as apparently there are a limited number of apartments with it).

What you'd expect / No surprises!!
28 July 2009
Bit busy, but to be expected in July. But theres always the beach and it's only 2min away!! Rooms were very basic and there was no AC however, other rooms did so you could probably request it?? Only english channels where news and eurosport so bring a small dvd if you've kids or fancy an early night. Breakfast was okay, Perfect location - bang in the middle of old town and new town.

The room was cleaned every day and fresh towels were also given by the very friendly cleaning staff. They are very central, right beside the old town and close to all restraunts and bars. I would highly recomend it will return there on my next visit. The only down side was if you like a fry for brekkie its not great but theres pleanty of everything else.

These apartments can not be faulted. They are in between the Old Town & the New Town, kept absolutely spotless & 2 mins from the beach. . Just beware that all apartments do not have air con. Two times that i have stayed there, we have been lucky enough to have it but wouldn't like to be there in 30 degree heat with no air con!
Staff are very friendly too & i think there is a great spread for breakfast!
Only fault I would have is how small the pool area is, it is quite packed by 10am.

First time with alpharooms.com Everything went smoothly and according to plan. Been to apartments before. In a good position but new sewerage works outside front door is a minor nuisance for the next few weeks. Eating out seems expensive from previous years, probably due to £ weakness against Euro. Look for special offers. Pity they don't do half-board as the breakfats are very good. Very quiet in resort due to recession, could be some bargain offers on hols!
Would recommend these apartments.

13 February 2009
We were very impressed with these apartments, the apartments were spotless, the breakfast was super with choice for all - fruits, cereals, breads, pastries, hot food, etc etc. The only downside was that we required a 2 bed apt which was up steps which was bit awkward with 2 young kids & buggies - no lifts, however there was no apartments over our block which was a plus. The poolside is a little small and dangerous with a 2yr old running around and the kiddies pool is not heated and was freezing. All in all we had a great holiday at these apartments and the staff were more than helpful and left us keep one of the apartments (we had grandparents next to us in another apt) on check out day as our flight was not until late evening. The new town in Puerto Del Carmon was complete disaster as a new sewerage system is being put in place and the whole place is being dug up, not a place for our buggies with dust, noise and no footpaths, we stuck mainly to the old town because of this which was a pity. Our two little girls had a great holiday and would recommend the fariones apartments and alpharooms.com as it was my first time booking accomodation and flights separately.

Just got back from a week in Puerto Del Carmen, Stayed at these apartments and couldn't really fault them. Very well situated and the best apartments we have stayed in (We've been five times) It is definelty worth the extra they cost. Breakfast was really good plenty of choice. Swimming pool is a bit on the small side but fine for the numbers this time of year. I would imagine it would get very crowded around pool in Summer time. The actual apartments are well finished with all the amenities you require, plus flat screen tv, they are cleaned every day by attentive staff. If I had to find one fault it would be that the walls in the apartments are very slim and you can hear the apartments above and below you, but I believe that this is common in most holiday apartment blocks. Overall I would highly recommend these apartments. Warning: Lanzarote is currently being dug up at the moment, the whole road from the casino to Linekers bar is being worked on and is not expected to be finished until April 09, very difficult for parents with buggies, only one side of the pavement is open, nightmare.

These apartments are excellent good location for old town promanade and beach. We had just a few days holiday left this year and decided it would be good to get a little winter sun. There wasn't that much sun but was warm enough to enjoy eating breakfast at the fariones outside most mornings. The breakfast was 1st class a great selection. Our apartment was spotless and well cleaned every day The welcome basket of fruit /water and wine was a nice little suprise on arrival. I would highly recommend these apartments .

January 2008....Excellent apartments..clean, comfortable, spacious, nice big balcony with wrought iron furniture which could be more comfortable, and not much of a view.
Breakfast was superb. Staff are friendly from reception to the cleaning ladies.
Location excellent for both the lively 'strip', and the more traditional harbour area (which has just started a 3yr upgrade project). 5 minutes from the Biosphere shopping centre.
Good value with Alpharooms, local price is 116euros per night for a couple!

We stayed at these apartments last year and found them to be excellent, and this year they've even improved. Lovely breakfast, apartments incredibly clean, very efficient and nice staff. My only complaint would be that not all of the apartments have air-conditioning and that the TV only has three channels in English, all of which are news channels. However, I would thoroughly recommend these apartments.

We absolutely loved this complex it was fabolous, couldnt fault anything the reception staff on arrival were so helpful. A lovely gesture on arrival to ur appartment a bottle of wine and some fresh fruit. One of our party celebrated her birthday while on holiday and when we came back to the appartment after the beach there was a massive birthday cake in a box in the fridge and a lovely letter from management and staff to wish her a happy birthday, thought this was just a lovely gesture (where would you get it) The rooms were spotless clean, towels were changed every day and the towels were fine big towels not like in some places there tiny. Our maid was so pleasant. Our flight was 8am so we were leaving about 5.30am they put on some breky for us b 4 we left (nice gesture again) So overall 10 out of 10 cant wait to go back had a fab holiday !!!!! THANK YOU

We had a great stay in the Fariones Apatments in July 07. Service was excellent from the bar right through to the housekeeping, all staff were very pleasant. Ideal for families poolside was a little cramped but as we had no famiy with us we used the Fariones Hotel Poolside which was great.
Would have no problem recommending these apartments.

apartments spacious and very clean maid service daily pool area very restricted and the sunbeds were very uncomfortable and in short supply.Breakfast was reasonable but a little repetetive and entertainment was non existent.Satff were very polite at all times but not overly friendly. Review of 'APARTMENT Fariones'
09 August 2006
My husband and I stayed at the Apartment Fariones for a week at the start of August. We had a fabulous time. We stayed on the third floor (which is the top floor). We did not have a great view from the balcony but it was very quiet. There was a basket of fruit and a half bottle of wine on arrival with compliments from the hotel (a very nice gesture). The breakfast was fantastic, it is a buffet service with freshly squeezed orange juice and sparkling wine!!!( if you are into it at that hour of the morning.) All the staff were very friendly. The rooms were cleaned daily, however on one occassion we left one of the key cards in the electricity socket and when we returned to our room the maid had taken it away. Not impressed. Our room had a good fan system but even without it there was a fabulous breeze which also kept the room cool in the high temperatures of August. The kitchen had all the utensils that you would need for a holiday including a microwave. The television had the usual english channels, sky news, eurosport, bbc world. The only downside to the hotel that I found was that the evening entertainment was limited and the hotel stopped serving food at 3.30pm in the afternoon which I felt was a bit early. It was also a bit of a rush to get a sunbed in the morning, if you weren't at the pool by 9.30am, it would be very hard to get a sunbed. The location of the hotel was fantastic, out the door and to the right was the old town and to the left was the new town, it couldn't have been better located. Overall we had a fantastic time and will definitely be going back again. PS. I would definitely recommend a visit to the Ranch Texas Park, it is fantastic especially the Parrot show.

Excellent accomodation, we arrived approx mid-day and were able to check-in immediately. Requested a top floor apartment with air-con (not all apartments have air-con)and were given one. Breakfast is very very good, selection of cereals, fruit, breads, pastries, juices(+sparkling wine/cava), cold meats and bacon/sausage/beans/mushrooms/fried, boiled and scrambled eggs/potatoes. Room was cleaned and towels changed every day. We used towels from reception (12 Euro deposit/towel) and also spent a few afternoons at the beach/pool of Fariones Hotel which had cushions on their sunbeds - the sunbeds at the Apartments Fariones did not, and were a little uncomfortable while laying on your front! We booked independently using Alpharooms, Thomsonfly.com for the flights and AutoReisen for car hire and reckon we saved £££'s compared to brochure package. We would recommend these apartments to anyone, especially if you want to meet some Irish Holidaymakers - it seemed 80% of people staying there were Irish! Location is also very good between old and new parts of PDC, a taxi from apartments to the Casino was 2.5 Euro.

11 October 2005
This was the second stay at the apartment Fariones (Oct 06) and it was as good as before with one plus, we had Aircon this time around. (Not all rooms have aircon)
The cleanliness of the apartment was good and enough space for the two of us; if you wish to cook then two electric rings and a microwave are provided.
The location of the apartments is ideal for beach (5min), Old and New towns (15 & 5 min, note a 30-40 minute stroll will get you to the far end of the New). The walk to the Old part does involve some minor hills but there is a good selection of restaurants with many overlooking the sea.
The breakfast could get a little conjested but we also had the added problem that they started work building on the patio area which had to be cordoned off and they had to move the outside eating area into some of the sunbathing area. This then had an effect on the available space to sunbathe.(No warning of this work prior to arrival)
All that aside the little touches the Apartments provide, free fruit and wine on first day and the overall friendliness of the staff I would recommend this apartment to others.
