Great Holiday

19 July 2008
We spent a fortnight at this hotel and had a great time. It was a very short walk to the beach 5 minutes (10 max if you stopped in the shops on the way) Accommodation was clean and the service with bed linen and towels was brill. I was part of a party of 8 - family holiday with a vast vary in age and everyone was entertained and happy. The view off the balcony was awesome, could see right over the sea! The hotel is located in a very good part of benidorm as the area was not too loud and not too quiet. The celebrations of the football final were unbelievable but the next day was back to normal. I would defo recommend this hotel to friends and family and definately would not hesitate t go back.

Good Base for a Stag weekend

22 June 2008
Stayed in Mid June 2008 on a stag weekend. Apartments are basic but well laid out, ideal for a stag weekend although we didn't survey the kitchen implements! The balconies are large and over look the pool. Pool is decent size with large terrace which has the sun all day in the summer and is quite private. All day bar which serves food, a good base for groups or younger couples, not sure if it is ideal for families. 10 min walk to the 'strip' or 5 mins from old town. Would use again for a short break.

well.........

Well we stayed in this small apartment for a week. Good english bars and cafe down the road but the beach was about 20 mins away. The pool and outside area was okay but it wasn't very hot when we went. The room was smaller than expected and we had to sleep on an uncomfortable couch-bed! Kitchen was very small bathroom okay. All quite clean but not good enough for a family of 4.

good stay

03 August 2007
Stayed for two weeks well located, super market just around the corner. There is a very good cafe about 150yards down the road called La Bamba, the owner is a lovley lady name Barbra, and her great staff one of them is name Dave, they will make you very welcome. The hotel, the linen is changed once aweek, it is cleaned once a week, ther is a 100 euro deposit for any damage which you ars not told about till you get there, lots of young groups. There are two lifts which are not working all the time and when you are on the 16th floor it is no joke.

Welcoming.  Extra charge for limited TV, extra charge for parking.  Area very congested for parking on street.  Good central location, close to old town and everything.  Partiers on weekends sometimes loud.

13 of us just got back from staying at the Era Park yesterday.  Our stay was very pleasant and the apartment has everything you need at a very reasonable price.  The reception staff were very helpful and friendly.  How ever we did find the barman a bit abrupt.  The rooms could do with a bit of updating.  The paint on the ceiling in the bathroom was peeling off and the grouting on the bathroom tiles was a bit grubby but it wouldn't put me off from going again. You need to pay a deposit of 100 euros on arrival and if you were on a tight budget it could be a problem.  All in all we found these apartments absolutely fine and would stay there again.

14 of us travelled upto benidorm from Playa Flamenca to celebrate my birthday. We stayed for the weekend everyone had a wicked time the hotel was excellent value for money the only problem was that the bar in the hotel wasnt open so we had to leave the premises to get drunk. some of the group are travelling back up there this weekend. i need a little break before i return to the hotel but i deffinetly will be back up there soon.

3 Guys in 40s and 50s staying for November Fiesta week.
Would be happy to stay there again.
Nearby church bells could disturb sleep (occasionally for one, frequently for another and never for me).
It's a 15 minute walk to the busy bars in the square, 10 minutes to Vincents in the old town, <10 minutes from the beach and only around the corner from the Mercadona supermarket.
The place was very quiet due to the time of year. Never saw the bar or cafeteria open - but then we tended to sleep through most of the day.
The rooms were adequate for our needs (sleeping, getting ready for another night out). The towels were changed once (actually extra towels were left, as the maid couldn't find the old towels) and the bed linen was not changed, but then we were always in bed when anyone came to do anything.
Reasonably priced internet access was available (1 euro for 15 minutes).
24 hour reception is always good - no need to worry about getting split up or who has the key (I've stayed in many apartment blocks in Benidorm which have a separate key for access gate/front door and rooms and with only one set of keys issued - which invariably causes a bust up at some point during the week).

After reading the reviews I expected the worst, but we only wanted a bed for the night.  Found the apt. clean, recently tiled and re-painted,adequately furnished for 4.  Kitchen needs renewed but we had toaster, mini-oven,kettle,hob(2rings),fridge and sufficient utensils etc. for 4. Good sized balcony, sun all day even on floor 3 in November(we reckon all apts will be the same). Only met 2 staff, both pleasant (we find people usually respond to how they are treated!) Possibly different July/Aug but we wouldn´t go to Benidorm then!Would go again for the price.  NB!!! YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR AND WE HAD NO COMPLAINTS.

La Era Park is quite clean with friendly staff who are keen to make your stay comfortable.good size swiming pool with sun loungers.Rooms are basic but clean. It is within easy walking distance of all the local amenities ie shops, restaurents and beach. There is a large supermarket just behind the hotel for your daily needs (see the size of those prawns!)It is a good base to explore and enjoy Benidorm.

Nice large pool, plenty of sunbeds.  Food served in the cafe/BaR plenty of variety and nicely cooked. Apartments nice and large balconies. If i only had one qualm its probably the usual, that the guys who work there arent that friendly towards us, which is a shame, cos its not nice to use our manners and get nothing back.
But in saying that, we are off there again very shortly.

These apartments are great but could do with a make-over!!. Would not recommend for families as there were lots of groups of stag and hen parties when we were there. Close to Old Town and about a 10-15 minute walk to the square. We have used Alpharooms several times in the past and once again everything went very smoothly. If you have never booked on the internet before, go for it....lot cheaper and easier than using a tour operator. Go to a bar called St James Tavern, just down the road, for great value home cooked meals. All in all we had another great holiday in Benidorm and will be using Alpharooms again in the future.

The Aparthotel was in a good position, being close to the Old Town, and quite close to the beach.
The Hotel itself was "very tired," especially the apartments, and were in desperate need of a re-furb.
Some of the staff (especially the bar staff) were in the wrong trade, as everybody was an incovenience.
We also suffered from the fact this Hotel is used by stag parties, and was very noisy, and lots of bad language was previlent.

i visited in july 2006,the apartment were clean and the pool area was cleaned regularly, we had a great view from the large balcony, lots of different types of people staying there but everyone was friendly, the downsides i would say were the lifts were slow, and we stayed on the top floor so it got quite annoying after a while! the bar men seemed quite grumpy, and it would have been nicer if the place was air conditioned, but there were fans available to rent. about 5 mins from the beach, about 15 mins from 'the square' which is annoying to walk there at first but when your drunk its no bother to walk back.would definately go back.

The hotel was nice and friendly rooms were clean and was very impressed with the size of the apartment for our family with 2 kids. Great value for money. The only complaint is it is not air conditioned. living in spain we are able to take a fan.

I had read reviews before I arrived at this property that said it was a loud and lairy stag and hen hotel...so I was expecting to arrive at a zoo, which would have been fine as I am young and quite lairy myself.

But it wasn't animal like at all. Mostly populated by families, it was clean and tidy and friendly and fairly quiet. When we strolled in from a night on the tiles at 6am all was quiet.

A bit of a letdown really. Nah...hahaha! Nice place. I recommend it.

Good location, minutes away from centre of old town. Standard Spanish 3 star apartments but with electric mini oven, kettle, electric heater.Plentiful supply of hot water. Big Supermarket on next block.

No longer used by UK tour operators.Consequently full of young Spanish teenagers, groups of British lads etc with the consequent noise, including late night/early mornings.

We stayed here at the end of Nov 2005 & for what we wanted it was excellent!
I was running Benidorm marathon - it was 2 minutes from the start & finish area so perfect for me.
There was no disruption from any stag or hen parties. We went with our 6 year old son & he had no complaints.
Yes, it was fairly basic - but you get what you pay for. I wanted somewhere decent to stay that wouldn't cost a fortune & that had the option of sky TV - that's what I got.
The balcony was huge, with a sea & pool view. It's easily accesible to to beach, the shops, bars & restaurants. The hill to the approach is nothing to worry about. Unless you're frightened of walking further than 100metres to get anywhere then I can see no problem.

If you want 5* then pay for 5*. If you want cheap accommodation with reasonable standards then this will do the job nicely.
And if you're running the marathon - this is ideal. I'll certainly be back next year!!!

Era Park is reasonably priced and clean accomodation, the reception staff are excellant. I cannot vouch for the bar staff as we didn't use it. We stayed at the end of Sept and beginning of October and were not bothered by Hen or Stag groups, although this can be a problem anywhere in Benidorm. We would stay there again because of its central location. It is up a hill but we are 60+ and it did not cause us any problems, there are far worse approaches to other accomodation

Review of 'APARTHOTEL LA ERA PARK'

22 July 2005
Our group of four males aged between 34 and 42 stayed at La Era Park for one week during July 2005. Before I go any further, I think it is worth saying that for the whole week, the hotel cost us less than ten pounds per night each to put things into perspective!.

Having read a few reviews about the place before we set off, I knew exactly what to expect and due to the cost, I think our overall expectations were fairly low.

I cannot say its the worst hotel I have ever stayed in by any means, not even for the price. There are far worse in many major eurpean cities!

The big negatives would be that for a summer holiday, it has no aircon. The rooms get exceptionally hot and its almost impossible to sleep. Also, due to the nature of the clientelle, it can be very noisy in the early hours. The ceilings between the apartments are very thin and anyone walkin around in heeled shoes above can get very irritaing. Similarly, any other bedroom action can be clearly heard in the room below! The pool is okay to be fair. The sunbeds are uncomfortable but serve a purpose. The roudy, loutish behaviour around the pool can be a little intimidating sometimes but we put up with it and alternatied between beach and pool for sunbathing. It really wouldnt be a place to take the kids If Im honest cos theres nothing for them to do other than a game of pool or table football I suppose.

As far as location is concerned, it is well placed for walking to the beach (10 mins), main square for nites out (20 mins), Old Town (15 Mins). A taxi back in the early hours from the main square was always less than 4 Euros.

On the plus side, it has pretty much everything you need for basic, cheap and cheerful holiday in "The Blackpool of the Med". The rooms were basic, towels changed three times during the week (but not bed linen) The bedroom was ok although wardrobe space a little short.

There was an annoyin smell comin from the bathroom floor drain from time to time but not an insurmountable problem if you remembered to shut the door!

The fridge kept the water cool and we didnt attempt to cook anything so It wouldnt be fair for me to assess the standard of the cooking equipment.

The bar staff were a little sharp and ignorant but to be honest, if they are used to dealing with the kind of people generally associated with staying there then you would hardly be full of smiles!

My husband and I have stayed twice in the La Era Park. Both times it was april (Last one being April 05). We Have found these apartments to be very nice, clean and tidy. There is no entertainment and the bar is only open untill 10pm, but there is that much to do in Benidorm you don't need to stay in your apartments. It is on a slight hill and about a ten minute walk to the night life ,and a five minute walk to the old town. There is a nice pool and sunbathing area - always clean. The managment and staff are very friendly, and we have booked to go back again in October this year
