We stayed at this hotel on December over xmas. If you want a quiet time then this is the hotel for you. but not for young couples who want to have fun and have a good time. food not nice. Too far away from the beech and the town centre. The buses only run every hour and half so we had to walk everywhere. The view from our hotel were of the dustbins and of the main road very nice NOT. !!!!!!
we were given plastic cups to drink out of at night time, this is not acceptable. I can underdstand during the day and around the pool but not at night.
The entertainment if you can call it that, was not good.
The best thing about my stay was…
The sun

Basic, but clean - great holiday
18 November 2011
My boyfriend and I stayed in the Timanfaya Golf apartments for 2 weeks in July. The apartment was perfect for what we needed, ie somewhere to sleep and shower. If you plan on spending loads of time lounging around inside this is not the place for you. The bar staff where really friendly and drinks are quite cheap in the pool bar. The apartments are very family friendly so if you intend on going mental and sleeping in late every morning you shouldn't stay here. The pool area was really nice, lovely big pool. The apartments are quite a long walk to town as well, a good 15 mins. Overall had a great holiday and I probably would return to Timanfaya, in fairness you get what you pay for!
The best thing about my stay was…
The pool

Small, old, worn, tired, boring, staff tried there best but the hotel is well past it's best before date. To far away from anything. The whole resort was dead. Perfect for old folk. To quite for me. Mid 40s and the bar closed just as everyone is warming up. Won't be going back. Got a little less than paid for. Food was ok. Had worse.
The best thing about my stay was…
The fellow holiday makers.

Fairly comfortabe stay but a bit basic and dated
06 April 2011
Staff very friendly at reception and found service reasonable but found standard of snacks at pool bar poor. Sunbeds were very poor no cusions on them making themvery uncomfortable to lie on for any length of time. Room cleaning was good with clean linnen/towels every few days.
Equipment for self catering very limited with mis/matched crockery and cutlery, no frying pan just two saucpans. Room was very dated in furniture and very tired.

The best thing about my stay was…
friendly staff suitable for our needs and access to the main town easy.

All the hotel was good for was sleeping in!
23 November 2010
Could not eat in the hotel as food was awful, asked for a sandwich one afternoon and they brought out something which was inedible and looked disgusting and the pool was so cold you could not swim in it.
The best thing about my stay was…
Going out to eat!

stayed for a week room nice and bright, and sofa bed really comfy. food good and lots of choice. gorgeous bread. couldnt fault the service. the only down side was the entertainment, ok for kids, but why they put magic show and a reptile show on at ten at nite i dont know. the pool is quite small and didnt seem to be much room for the sunbeds. the beach was about 15 mins away, a lovely walk around the coastline. hotel good although not 4 star.

Nice friendly hotel, clean but basic, tv in room was good on rainy day!
Staff very helpful.
Food could have had a better selection for young children...but the icecream went down a treat.
Would go again

We stayed at the apartments at the end of Feb 2009.All inclusive. The hotel is very clean,BUT that is all.To say the property needs refurbishing,is an understatement IT IS TIRED.The staff WHEN YOU CAN FIND THEM,are very helpful.Trying to get served at the bar is a joke.1 waiter to serve drinks, make hot drinks & cook snacks for all the guests at the pool bar.No wander he was tired!!The lounge is closed during the day unless it is raining,if it is cold they will open it but YOU CANT GET A DRINK.
Sorry this is not a 4***HOTEL as advertised

04 April 2007
We stayed there in Feb 2007.Lovely clean apartments.Great entertainer Sergio who worked so hard with adults and children,He was the ONLY entertainer!Food was good always hot and cooked fresh. The Bar and lounge was just a little too small for the hotel but the children enjoyed the shows
The children made some lovely friends and weather was hot.It was a good holiday.

VERY CLEAN GENERALLY, PLEASANT AND HELPFUL STAFF;
ESPECIALLY HARDWORKING ENTERTAINER FOR BOTH CHILDREN AND ADULTS.
LONG WALK TO BEACH, WOULD BENEFIT FROM A SHUTTLE BUS TO BEACH ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE WITH CHILDREN WHO DIDNT WISH TO DRIVE.
FOOD WAS OKAY, BUT VARIABLE DAILY STILL GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY
EXCELLENT LOCATION FOR QUIET RELAXING HOLIDAY LOOK FORWARD TO GOING AGAIN

Review of 'TIMANFAYA GOLF APARTMENTS'
02 May 2006
This hotel was perfect for what we needed, it's a good walk from the (good) beach and a long walk back from a night out if you can't get a taxi! The rooms are clean and modern with a kitchenette even if you are not self-catering. There are only 2 english channels on the TV, CNN and Eurosport so unless you are my Dad, expect to be bored of it! All of the staff are really friendly. The buffet style dining did not really give enough familiar foods (it was mostly German/Spanish foods) so if you are a bit fussy like me, eat bread and chips! Just a tip as well, there is a little English cafe on Galeon Playa called Flamingo (it's opposite Netto) - you HAVE to go there and get a full English - the staff there will make you feel really welcome and I guarantee, once you have been there, you will go back. Finally, we will be going back to this hotel, I have only been back home 5 days and I am already pining to go back!
