Basic hotel - rooms clean and tidy. Good bar in the hotel. Does what it says on the tin ... great base for a weekend away with friends. Not sure I would stay there with the family though. A fair walk to the marina but taxis cheap and frequent.

Stayed in apartment 1004 for one night (had other accommodation already booked). The balcony & windows were dirty as was the put u up bed which was badly stained. Swimming pool & restaurant closed for refurbishment. Staff OK.

Stayed here 25 Mar - 1 April.   Very clean and studio very spacious, kitchen dated and needs upgrade?.   Had Pool/Sea view so that was very good.  Buiilding work at back was a bit of a nuisance in the early morning, but expect it to be completed by end 2006. Very central - bit of a walk to Marina but had lots of restaurants nearby. Did not eat in Aloha playa so cannot comment on food or nightlife.
Thanks for a great spring break.

Alpharooms apartment was very clean, spacious, and warm. I have no complaints apart from although the hotel was pretty full the restaurant was only open weekends, but when we did eat there the food was excellent.Would certainly recommend. We were staying there from 4/03/06 - 11/03/06 and even the weather was warm - 72 degrees. Doreen Morris.

HOLA!!Just returned from a wonderful week in Benalmedena and felt obliged to write a review about this great aparthotel. We are a very young at heart 60+ couple and this place was superb for us.In a great location the rooms were spot on,loads of room and clean.Only minor problem was the building work behind the hotel which looked like it had just started this wasnt too bad though as we were out most days.We love a lively but friendly nightlife and found the perfect bar with live music nearby called the"Shamrock Irish Pub" so search for this during your stay. For great food try "Grumbles Bar and Bistro" which is nearby, very clean and loads of choice and really friendly. We would also recommend using public tranport to and from the airport, take the train to Aroyo[1.25euros each] and then taxi to the apartment[6euros]then do the same on way back to the airport, this is a big saving rather than taxis to and from the airport. We are already planning the same holiday next year such was the overall pleasure we had on this trip...go on,you know you want to!!!ADIOS!!

Nice Studio Apartment and friendly reception staff. A good place foe a short break. The apartments could do with a bit of TLC, eg pool area needs a bit of a clean up, (but it is still out of season) and creaky lifts worried some a little.

The hotel was exactly as advertised, clean, and larger than we expected.  It was a little further away from the center of town, but the walk was always pleasant, and it was very easy to find the hotel.

Very quiet as visited before half term.  Eating facilities only available at weekends until later this month.  Reception large but rather unwelcoming.
Apartment - good size.  Somewhat past its best as Sol furnishings still in evidence.  Bathroom, however, was new but about 6" space between toilet and bidet to access the bath.  Excellent shower.  Kitchen was very much in need of upgrade but did have toaster and cooker.  Problem with fridge but rectified straight away.  Remember to take your own teaspoons!!
Good cleaning/maid service most days.  Overall, reasonable value for money.

Stayed in Hotel before, six years ago.  Seemed like it hadn't had a lick of paint since & all the bedding etc was the same. staff were polite & helpfull & the hotel was clean & tidy even thought it obviously needed updating. However this would not put me off using this hotel again for a cheap second holiday

Very good apartments. Great views and very convenient. Safes are in lobby rather than rooms. Would certainly use again. Good winter value.

I have stayed here two times this year. The first time I got a very nice room on the 11th floor very big with a sea view. All rooms have been improved since buying the place off the Sol Group but still use Sol bedding for the rooms. The 2nd time I stayed there the room was smaller and on two floors: stairs down to the living area kitchen and bathroom upstairs as you enter the room. All rooms have a sea view and there are some nice bars close by. Lifts are scary as thay where installed in 1976.There is a small shop and a big bar in the place too.
