Stayed at this hotel between 23/5/08 and 27/5/08 with my wife and children age 11 and 13 (boy and girl). Apartments were well equipped and the first floor balcony had a partial sea view and a side view of the pool. The kids slept in the bedroom on the two single beds and we had the bed settee in the living room area which was comfortable. It was a full size single bed that pulled out from beneath the settee. The hotel seemed very well run and staff very friendly, parking was at the road to the rear of the hotel however we found the front entrance on the main road first. Safety deposit boxes are in reception and are reasonably priced. The main beach is very nice and plenty of choice for restaurants etc. The little beach is only a short walk away and my kids loved it. We only stayed for 4 nights in Santa Ponsa as my wife wanted to sample the resort. We had also booked a week at Cala Dor in 5* accomodation so that we could stay in two different resorts.
All in all Santa Ponsa is a lovely resort and these apartments are very good value for money and we would stay there again.

Fantastic holiday

Have just returned from a week at Surfing Playa in October with our 2 children aged 2 and 8. Was absolutely thrilled with the quality of these apartments for the price we paid. They were absolutely spotless and well equipped. We even managed to watch the Rugby World cup final on the TV in our room. We had fresh linen every 2 days and the beds made up. The main beach is a 5 minute stroll away with a smaller but lovely cove beach just 2 minutes away - there is a small park just above this one too. The restaurants and shops are very close. To say its so close to the main area it is well positioned to be very peaceful. The pool was lovely with a smaller area for younger kids. We will definitely be returning and recommending this place to our friends. Thanks for a lovely holiday.

Best apartments to stay in

Stayed at the Surfing Playa apartments in September 2007. My husband, myself and our 2 year old son. These apartments are absolutley spotless. They are only about a 5 minute walk from the main beach and about a 20 minute walk from the 'Square'. I would rate these apartments as much higher than a one key, however there are no lifts so if you can get a ground floor apartment you are much better off. There are lovely restuarants in the area, in particular Fat Sams. Santa Ponsa in general is a lovely place and extremely child friendly. I would recommend both resort and apartments.

Stayed at surfing playa Sept 07 for 10 nights. 2 adults & a child aged 3. Loved every moment of our holiday. Appartment was very super for only a 1 key. We didnt relise the appartments had air-con. haha. Well worth the money looking to book up again for next year. Which will be my 4th year in a row. GREAT A+++++++++++++++++++

Pleasurable Playa

Stayed at the Surfing Playa August this year (07). Four adults and four teenagers.
On arrival found the staff to be very pleasant and most helpful. we had arrived early but one appartment was already ready.
Apartments were both clean and reasonably well equiped, although toasters had to be hired.but for a "basic"
complex not bad at all.
Linnen and towels changed three times a week, bar and pool area cleaned every day, all staff again very friendly and helpful.
Pool was maybe a tad small if a lot of guests decided to stay by it on the same day, but plenty big enough for a quick dip.
My only slight gripe about the complex is that the appartments may be a little on the small side, however my two boys are older teenagers and do take up a lot of room!
I cannot however have any complaints about the location of the complex, it is just about perfect. Two minutes from the "little beach" and no more than six or seven minutes from the main beach, at a gentle stroll! Also it is on the quieter side of the bay well away from the noise of clubs and bustle of the shopping areas, although these are only a 10 -15 minute walk.
The nearby resteraunts also deserve a mention especially Eureka a two minute stroll towards the main beach but delicious food and excellent value. Why not stop for a drink in the very friendly Bar Rumba after your meal to round off a pleasant evening.
All in all we had a fantastic two weeks and the Surfing Playa helped to make it so, I would not hesitate to reccomend the appartments to anyone wanting to stay in Santa Ponsa.
You could end up paying a lot more for appartments of this standard!

We stayed at Surfing Playa for 4 nights in July 2007. The Apartments are set just 5 minutes walk from the baech and there are plenty of bars and restuarnts just a stroll away plus a well stocked super market just across the road.
The Apartments themselves are pretty basic however they are spotless and look as if they have been recently refurbished. The pool area is small but there were plenty of beds. No towel placing at silly times was evident. Would we stay again. Yes
