Andels Hotel

18 March 2010
We were really pleased with our room until we saw our friends which included a separate bath and shower. So do ask for this when you book their room number was 419. The hotel had an excellent location, you got off the train, cut through the shopping centre and when you came out 10 yards in front of you is the hotel. It was also just a short 5-10 minute walk into the main square. The breakfast in the hotel was excellent, full English available or continental. It was also available from 6 - 11am weekdays and 7 - 11am weekends, which pretty much suits everyone. There were tea and coffee making facility in the room and fridge. Good selection of TV chanels which were in both Polish and English. Rooms were cleaned to a high standard everyday and the staff were always polite and attentive. We loved the shoe polishing machine available by every lift which did a great job and was useful given the snow. The hotel provided great guide book and map as well. We would recommend to anyone and if we go to Krakow again would stay here.

This hotel is ideally situated near to the major shopping centre, old town and train station. The breakfast is great, there is something for eveyone. I would recommend that you add breakfast to your Hotel Andel booking, you wont be sorry. The room is modern, yet cosy. The bed is really comfortable, I wanted to take it home with me, alas my baggage allowance couldnt have coped!!! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, they were great. Thanks AlphaRooms would definately book with you again

Great Hotel

01 March 2010
This hotel is perfectly located. You simply walk outside the airport, get the blue shuttlebus to the train station which is 2 mins away. Then get the train directly to the city centre, no stops, takes about 14mins. As soon as you walk outside the train station, the Andels hotel is right in front of you, 1 min walk from the train station. The hotel is located right beside a huge shopping centre too. Hotel itself is spotless and staff extremely helpfull and friendly. Rooms are very comfortable and modern. I would definately recommend this hotel. Perfect place to stay for a short break

I would recommend this hotel to anybody who is planning on taking a trip to Krakow. The room was clean and comfortable, staff were very friendly, good breakfast menu, room cleaned and towels changed everyday. The hotel was close to everything with easy access to railway and bus, the shopping centre and the main square. Could not find any faults with this hotel.

Happy to recommend this hotel

17 February 2010
Thank you for recommending Andels hotel - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay - excellent. We would usually steer clear of hotels beside the railway station as they are often disappointing but not Andels! We were very happy with every aspect of our stay there.

Short break

15 February 2010
Lovely rooms, V/Good Breakfast. Staff polite and helpful, only problem was that no electrical adaptors were available at reception as Andels hotels have safety pin fitted in their two pin sockets. Close to Railway, Bus station and Centre. Recommended

Great Central Hotel

14 October 2009
Found this hotel by looking at TripAdvisor to see what other people thought, out of approximately 20 reviews 19 gave a maximum rating of 5, this is very justified as my wife and I would give it a 6 if possible, centrally located just opposite the main train station, clean and modern with excellent staff. Ate at the hotels restaurant the first night and had drinks in the bar on the second night, can recommend both. Will book this hotel again and will also check out other hotels in this chain when visiting other cities

Great hotel. Can't fault it at all. Check out the hotel's website; all the photos are entirely accurate, which makes a nice change! Breakfast was good. Great location just by the train station, so easy access to airport and to salt mines, etc. 10 mins walk to main square. Also next to large shopping centre. Like the 1 in Prague, I'd recommend this hotel to anyone; can't be beaten for the rates you can get.

ANDELS HOTEL KRAKOW

27 July 2009
This hotel is great. Excellent location, close to all amenities, shopping mall, railway station, bus station and the all important market square. Food was excellent and the staff very friendly and efficient. The rooms were very good and the bathrooms were bigger than in other hotels we've stayed. We will be going to Krakow again and this is our hotel of choice.

Excellent location - next to railway station and a massive indoor shopping centre. Hotel facilities are very good with the bathroom being particularly impressive with its walk in shower. Breakfast is very good with choice of fruit, cold meats and the usual hot choices of bacon, eggs etc. 10 min walk to the main square. Staff on the reception desk dealt with check in/check out efficiently and promptly.

08 July 2009
Andels has a brilliant central location - opposite the train station and ten minutes walk away from the restaurants and bars of the square. Brekafast is continental and offers something to please everyone. The rooms are lovely, ours looked out onto a square, and have a flat screen tv on the wall with many channels (barely any english!) and a walk in shower! Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great location,(take the train from Balice airport 8zlotys each way) Rooms v.modern, perhaps a bit small but everything you need (safe(free),tea&coffee facilities, toiletries replaced daily, ideal if you are only taking hand luggage,2 free bottles of water per day) Bathroom had a walk in shower, plenty of towels.heated floor. Breakfast was good, lots of choice.Ideal position for all attractions, all in walking distance.Visited Auschwitz1&2 quite a lot of walking on uneaven ground, definatley visit!! Also visited the Salt mines, lots of steps to climb down(365) but you do take the lift back up!! Unless you are really fit dont take the two trips together its far too tiring. This is the second time l have visited Krakow and it want be the last, everyone v.friendly.If you like classical music there are lots of concerts you can go too.Enjoy!!!!

After reading lots of reviews I booked this hotel for my parents to stay at whilst visiting Krakow. They returned yesterday full of praise for the hotel. Apparently everything was spotless and the staff were most helpful. Most importantly though for my parents it was central. I shall be visiting the area within the next year and will now book this hotel for myself!

Great hotel and holiday!

30 May 2009
Great location, friendly helpful staff and a lovely room. We both really enjoyed our stay here and would return (which says it all really!) Would recommend the bike tour, excellent way to see the city and not too demanding at all. Don't miss the trip to Auschwitz - you can easily do it alone by local bus (stand D8 when we went) takes approx 90mins and costs 10 zl (£2.50 one way).

A really good find

25 May 2009
I was really impressed by this hotel, I'm usually very hard to please having worked in the industry for a number of years. Whilst it is probably more aimed at couples and business, we were a ten men (albeit quite well behaved) stag party and were very well looked after. Location, decor, staff , rooms were top drawer - this is a very modern minimalist hotel but the only cheap thing was the price. I would wholly recommend it.

Andels Hotel was great

30 March 2009
At Krakow airport you take the shuttle bus to the train station and 15 mins later you are in Krakov. Cost 6ZL or €1.25. Andels Hotel is ideally located about 150 Metres from the train station. The Hotel itself is top class. Very modern, excellent bedrooms, clean great [staff restauant, bar, barfood, breakfast.] The location is perfect, walking distance to the old town. It is also next to an enormous new shopping mall with restauants and all the designer names. We really enjoyed our stay. It is also great value eating out or in is very cheap. We went to italian restaurants mostly and i can recommend Carlito's, Mama Mia's, and Andels Hotel itself. We were there end on march 2009. Our weather was not great but we got around. you will enjoy Krakow and in particular you will enjoy Andels Hotel it is EXCELLENT.

Staying at this hotel made all the difference to our stay in Krakow. It is as good as many 5* hotels. Beautifully appointed, modern, hotel; excellent position; pleasant, helpful and attentive staff; good breakfast; and fantastic value. 100% recommendation! Henry PS Don't fly to Krakow with Whizzaiir - they land at Katowitce Airport which is 100km+ away; there are no direct transfers to Krakow other than their own buses which cost 50zl each way (by comparison 2 public buses which follow the same route cost < 20zl); and it takes 1.5hrs!!

20 March 2009
I cannot do more than repeat what others have said - lovely hotel, conveniently situated, friendly staff - nothing too much trouble. Krakow itself is very clean and the people friendly. The hotel staff will try to get you to use their taxis and tours, which are unnecessarily expensive, but with the bus and train stations so close, we used public transport for our trips - strongly recommend checking return times on your way out - we waited almost an hour in an icy wind on a platform with no shelter, as we couldn't understand the timetables - have only ourselves to blame for that! Would definitely recommend Andels Hotel and use again if return to Krakow.

Excellent hotel. Very stylish and modern. Very easy to find. Take the train from the airport. Get to the hotel in 15 mins. Much cheaper than getting a taxi. Stayed here for 3 days last September 2008. Staff very helpful and friendly. The organised tours from the hotel were a little bit expensive but saves a lot of hassle. Hotel was spotless and room was cleaned daily. Bathroom out of this world. Large shower and bath. Perfect after a long days sightseeing. Brilliant location. Only 5 mins walk from city centre. Massive shopping centre next door. Definately recommend this hotel to anyone coming to beautiful Krakow. You won't be disappointed. Book it now with Alpharooms. Cheapest by far.

Fantastic Hotel

03 March 2009
During our three night visit we agreed that Andels was the best hotel we have stayed in in Europe. For the first time in a long time a hotel actually lived up to its star rating and all for the bargain price of 60 euro a night per double room, including a varied, well presented and tasty breakfast. The staff seemed extremely hard working and serious about their tasks and were very courteous at all times. The gym facilities included two state of the art running machines, two cross trainers and a bike. The changing facilities were clean and ultra modern as were the showers and sauna. All of which we had to ourselves! The location was perfect - so close to everything and we simply couldn't have asked for better. We have already started to look into a return visit as the only down side was we never got to do and see all the things we wanted. Shame - we’ll just have to go back for longer next time. Thanks Andels.

Andels Krakow

27 February 2009
I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Krakow. It was in a great location about 5-10min walk from the old town square. It's so easy to get to from the airport, the express train only takes 15mins and leaves you accross from the hotel. The hotel was very clean and very modern and among one of the best we have stayed in. Breakfast had a good variety and staff were very eager to help. We found the trips organized by the hotel were very reasonable and tour guides great. Overall I would say it would be harder to find a nicer hotel in a better location and at such a reasonable price.

4 Nights in Krakow

24 February 2009
Was looking for a reasonably priced hotel for 2 50+ couples close to the sights. Found Andels and read reviews, Got what i thought was a pretty good rate from this site, but was surprized at how good it was after looking the normal prices quoted in the hotel. We got 2 dbl rooms for 42 couples fro 4 nights-thurs to mon in Feb for €444 incl a fab . self service breakfast .The double beds are a huge 7ft6ins with high quality linnen and pillows, tea making facilities in room , underfloor heating in bathroom and safe in room. The advice i would give to anyone coming to Krakow is get the train from airport to central station for 10 Zlots (€2.6) for 4 . The hotel is just up the ramp and accross the square to the right, , no more than 2/3 hundred meters. The hotel is a modern hotel with all facilities and in the old town and within reasonable walking distance of most of the "to see" areas. Taxis are really cheap but be sure to get one with a meter as some that operate from the back of the hotel are hackney and give you a price, which can be an advantage if you want to bargain for a long trip , but for short to medium trips , a regular one is better. Eating out is cheap and we used reviewed resturants with a good degree of satisfaction.

Krakow in the snow

16 February 2009
My and I have stayed in Andels hotel in Prague before and this hotel in Krakow maintains the same high standard. The hotel staff are polite, have good English and are very helpful. We stayed on St Valentine's Night, which contrary to guide books is celebrated in Poland, the hotel ran a function which our rooms were close to. However we did not hear a thing as the soundproofing was excellent. Andels rooms are well laid out and functional. I can't complain as we both found the rooms very good and modern. The breakfasts are of a high standard, however get there early as the best food can be gone by 8:00, although there is always plenty to eat. There is a wide range from cereals, continental, fruits and cooked breakfast, there was also a chef cooking omelettes to order. Our mini bar was broken, but one visit to reception and 30minutes later it was replaced. The hotel is very handy to the Square, which has lots of bars, above and underground restaurants, shops. You are close to the train station for the airport shuttle train (every 30mins - 16 mins journey). The bus station is next door for your trips to Auschwitz. The minibus we took from the Salt Mine dropped us off on Jozefa Dielta and Starowisina and got us home despite 20-30cms of snow that day. Krakow is a great city and Andels hotel superb, I would love to go again for more that 4 days probably in the summer

Andels Hotel Krakow

26 December 2008
As all have said a modern clean and friendly hotel in a great location, staff polite and helpful, on the down side I found my bed a bit too hard for my liking. Breakfast good choice but despite food being in heated metal pots found to be luke warm/cold. Reception desk push you to use local tours - did and although great guides they are extremely rushed no chance at eating or browsing the stalls on the tours recommend going alone on local transport sadly my travel friend was not as keen on me to be independant also quite expensive as most of the time is spent picking up other passengers. A great city and would love to go again

This hotel is situated very close to the old town, 10 minutes walk away, the railway station and a tram stop. Take the express train from the airport to the main station and the hotel is directly opposite. The hotel rooms, although not huge are furnished to a high standard, particularly the en-suite shower room. The beds are extremely comfortable while the pillows are the best I've had in any hotel. Great to have tea and coffee making facilities, so often missing in Continental hotels. We found the staff delightful with nothing too much trouble. The breakfast offered a huge choice with the food being of an excellent quality. I defy anyone not too enjoy it. This is one of the best city break hotels we have stayed in and thanks to Alpharooms at a very reasonable rate. Can't wait to go back to Krakow and the Andels hotel .

Perfect Hotel

26 September 2008
Just returned from a 3 night stay at Andels Hotel, Krakow and wanted to echo the sentiments of all the other reviewers. It is a modern, stylish, comfortable, ultra-clean hotel in a convenient location. It is the best hotel that I've stayed in on a city break and would highly recommend it. Krakow itself is a lovely city and the only disappointment was the weather (it rained for practically the whole weekend and it was unseasonably cold for late September). We used the train to get to and from the airport and we arranged our own trips to Auschwitz and the Salt Mines by using public transport. It was all very easy and much cheaper than the organised tours. We didn't have enough time to do everything we had planned but we managed to fit in a Vivaldi concert and enjoyed eating at a variety of different restaurants, all of which were good. I would also like to recommend booking through Alpharooms which gave us a fantastic rate for the 3 night stay.
