This hotel is in an excellent location close to the station, from which most of the sightseeing tours start (at busy times the bus was full by the time it got to the stop outside the hotel).The staff are very friendly, the room was comfortable and clean. We would certainly recommend it to anybody not sure about where to stay. The there's the ice cream parlour down the road. Mmmm!

Went October 2007, lovely hotel and great location. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the rooms were very clean with a good cleaning service daily. Ideal hotel, tremini down the road and a sightseeing bus parked Just outside S. Maggiore Church, very convenient and cheap at 15 Euros for two days. Great way to see Rome. Lovely cafes just down the road on the Via Merulana walking away from S. Maggiore. Highly recommend this hotel.

Researched many Rome hotels and picked Amalfi. Spot on. Exceptionally clean, towels changed eveery day. New bathrooms. Fresh cotton sheets. Good breakfast. Very good location. No negatives at all. Highly recommended.

This was our first visit to Rome and we were anxious about standards and location of hotels.For some reason The Amalfi appealed to us ..and our instinct proved justified.
The hotel was central for sightseeing..We never used the bus or Metro ..Colliseum..15mins walk ..Trevi Fountain 20/25mins.
We found the rooms spotlessly clean although a little on the small side ..but who wants to spend time in room when sightseeing!
The staff were extremely pleasant and wanted to please and were willing to help with sightseeing.
Situated 10mins walk from Termini we found some excellent restaurants close by.
If we return we will use this hotel again and have recommended it to friends already

The hotel was excellent and ideally placed, it was in walking distance of all main tourist hot spots. We couldn't have asked for better accommodation at the price.

Amalfi, is in an excellent location. The hotel is is tastefully decorated and extremely lovely. Some rooms are very small, so when making reservations ask what room you will be allocated. Staff are friendly.asked to keep the room on through the day for an evening flight, was told 100 euros, no way
