Fantasric Hotel
23 August 2008
Stayed in the Alta mid june and could not recommend it enough, fantastic big apartment, spotlessly clean and excellent views from balcony. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful. amazing value for money and a wonderful location, shopping centre opposite was excellent. will definitely return.
Puerto de la cruz was wonderful, lovely shops and restaurants.
The Lido was wonderful nad great value for money, nice small pool at Alta but not necessary due to Lido close by

VERY good hotel
26 June 2008
Very good location. It is very fantastic to have "Mercadona" beside. The city itself is not as touristic as Playa de las Americas.
Apartment is quite big (enought space for children).
The only one disadvantage is that this hotel doesn't have childrens pool.

October Holiday
01 November 2007
Puerto itself is an excellent location for the family and the hotel is very near the sea (rather than up the hill) and all the main town attractions are easily accessible.
The hotel was very clean with a daily maid service, cleaning and changing the towels.
Plenty of car parking space under the hotel, but watch out for the steep entrance slope and very tight corners!
Big supermarket just opposite hotel (but doesn't open until 9.15)
If you leave your windows open (and there was no air conditioning), you can hear music until 3-4am - didn't wake the kids but took a bit of getting used to. Still, if Tina Tuner karoke/caberet is your thing.....
Nice little pool and lounging areas.
Staff were great - we arrived at about 2am and there was a receptionist at the front desk who was very helpful.
If you are driving there yourself, be sure to get good directions before you go - it is very easy to find the hotel - but if you don't know exactly where it is, it is easy to miss!
All in all would recommend these appartments as very good value.

october stay
11 October 2007
I would have to agree with most of the reviews being relatively accurate, it must be noted however that this was not peak season and as such allot of the bars may not have been operating at full capacity hence the hotel bar closing early. The staff however were prepared to open this for us if we wanted. the hotel pictures do not do it justice as the hotel is lovely and clean and well staffed. the maid service is excellent and the supply of towels endless. 4 of us stayed in a twin room on looking an adjacent hotel pool but you could still see the beach from the 3rd floor and watch the locals rock climbing on the near cliff face. the location is fantastic for the young or old and disabled. there is a great little shopping complex across the road for supermarket supplies and clothes shops for the trendy old or young, including jack Jones. the beach is within 5 mins from the hotel as well as the large oasis type park with man made pools and sun lounging areas. this is excellent value at €3.50 entry 10till 6pm and offers safe haven for those with young kids. you are only a short 5min walk from any bars or restraunts with an Irish bar called thatchers just around the corner. its a nice stroll to the main promenade and it if you keep following the crowds/ shops you will come to a lovely market square which is a hive of activity. the larger main beaches are situated a little further along from this about 10mins more. which you can if feeling fit take the walk from the hotel allow 30mins stroll or grab a cab. when we arrived at the airport we just took the bus no 102 which is right outside the airport which takes you right into the bus station in del a cruz for €2.90 each. this is located 10 mins walk from the hotel, we took a taxi just outside the bus station to the apartments which cost €4.90 for the 4 of us. upon our return we took a taxi straight to the airport which cost €30 for the 4 of us. traffic to the airport in the morning is busy and can delay you 30mins so allow this for your return.
the rooms were very spacious and well equipped and despite the fact that you may have been able to hear something’s from neighbours. the staff are more that helpful to move your room should you wish.
the pool area is small but is great for what you want, sunbathe and a quick dip. the serious swimmers will head for the beach or the oasis type park.

Review alta-23 September 2007
01 October 2007
Excellent location, everythings only a stroll away.we stayed in a 1 bed apartment, large bathroom with a large terrace, bath/shower with seperate toilet area,sittin/dining area was a good size, kitchenette with 4 ring cooker, cuttlery etc.downside,we had noisy neighbours with young children apart from that the hotel pool was pretty small & quiet, the bar closed everyday by 7pm instead of 11pm like we read on the welcome note!overall, friendly staff & rooms were cleaned every morning.pleasant stay.

Excellent location, close to everything, good service, however very noisy. You can hear what ppl talking about next door. Our neighbor had a baby and he/she was crying all the time so We were unable to get a good night sleep until they were gone.

Great location, close to all amenities, easy to find on arrival.
Warm & freindly welcome by staff who excelled them selves all week, quality of apartment very good with maid sevice each day, which we had not expected.
Excellent value for money, would recommend it to all our friends, my only caution would be to people who do not stay up late as there was some noise on Saturday nights, but I'm sure an apartment not at the front would be ok.
Will be back there for sure!

great apartment and very clean although a problem with old sofa...no longer suitable as a bed if it ever was But not to worry you won't need a bed as you won't be sleeping a great deal! We stayed over christmas and even with the windows closed we were "entertained" by the irish bar till midnight everynight, followed by the clubs turning out between 1-3am then the dustman comes at 4am!!!
