Having read the previous review I cannot believe that we stayed at the same hotel. It was very comfortable and clean and the staff were generally friendly and helpful. The meals were excellent with a different theme every night and plenty of choice. The smaller restaurant was used only twice during the fortnight with no problems (once with two sittings arranged). The choice at breakfast was so wide that not a lot of variation would be possible. The hotel is very well situated but I would recommend the pool view as the sea view would come with a bit of traffic noise from the main road in front. In any case there is going to be building work in progress almost opposite for some time on the old wine factory site. The main criticism would be the entertainment on offer in the bar, which was geared to a younger clientele than was in residence during our stay. Plenty of better cabaret at adjacent "5-star" hotels and the nearby Piano Bar.
