Review of 'ALHAURIN GOLF'

We only stayed at this hotel for the one night. The hotel itself was very clean and spacious and staff friendly. The swimming pool was fairly small and there are no childrens pool or area for them to play. Breakfast consisted of fruit, bread, hot and cold food, but thought it was a bit poor. The tea/coffee came from a self-service machine, rather than fresh pots poured at the table. The views were nice as the hotel is set in the hills, more for adults rather than families with younger children as there is nothing close by. Hired car is essential to travel to nearest attractions at the various resorts of Fuengirola, Belamadena etc.

Review of 'ALHAURIN GOLF'

The hotel is located in the Sierra Mijas hills with beautiful views. The hotel was an old Finca and is situated on the road from La Cala to Alhaurin and within walking distance of the Alhaurin golf complex. The rooms are brilliant - very large with twin double beds - our room had a balcony which faced south and was ideal to sit in the sunshine and relax. As it is January we did not use the pool! The restaurant was superb with a wonderful log fire - no one was in any dount about the service and the quality and variety of the food.
I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone who requires superb services, excellent food and fine wines.

Overall the accommodation and staff were excellent. The room was well appointed, good size, clean and comfortably furnished. The restaurant was although small offered a varied menu and was always busy. Nearby restaurants were also very good and popular. The hotel was very quiet although full and would be more suited to anyone not looking for entertainment at the hotel. Buffet breakfast was very good catering for all tastes. Overall would recommend this hotel. Worth visiting Nijas for Restaurants and the Garden Centre just down the road. A drive to Ronda is well worth the effort remembering the roads are being upgraded but still offer a challenging drive at times.

Thank you Alpha Hotels for your write up and the reviews on the Alhaurin Golf Hotel. The hotel rooms were just as the photographs and description and offer superb value for money. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast on the terrace evey morning but eat out for other meals as there are so many good restaurants within 10/15 minutes drive. We will try the restaurant next time. We booked the hotel because we prefer smaller quieter hotels to large brash ones on the sea front. The location was perfect with Mijas just down the road and Marbella /Puert Banus easy enough to drive to. Thia will now bw our hotel of choice on the Costa Del Sol.

Once again Alpharooms has come up trumps. The Alaurin Golf Hotel is really first class. We had an enormous room with superb views and all facilities. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The restaurant we would recomend to anyone. The setting was perfect and the food prepared and presented in an unexpectedly professional manner for the size of the Hotel. With tennis courts, swimming pool and equestrian centre as well as saunas, masage facilities on site and the Alhaurin Golf course only minutes away, what more could anyone want from a short break?
