Very well situated just off the Gran Via, 5 mins walk from the Plaza da Espana metro station.
Okish rooms, clean, but need some tlc, ie, paint, clean net curtains, good hoover and dust.
Bathroom clean, good sized bed, and clean sheets.
Quiet noisy at times, a party of spanish students spent most of the night running about and shouting slamming doors etc etc.. told them to stop but they just carried on, till 0300.
Did not try the breakfast, as slept in all the time we were there.
Metro to Real Madrid stadium only 1 euro each way and 10 euro each, great value, trophy room fantastic.
Madrid is very very clean, safe and beautiful, be prepared for long walks if you dont want to miss any of the sights, take some good shoes or pumps for your poor feet.
All in a great city to vist. slightly dissapointed with the rooms, not worth the £180 we paid for 3 nights,but the place itself is an ok base.
Weather was quite warm for Feb, but it did sling it down for about 2 hours one day so take a brolly.
We will be going back, but will look for a differnet hotel.
