Agora St Germain Review
04 April 2008
It would be hard to beat the convenience of this location, just 5 mins walk from the Seine and less than 10 minutes to Notre Dame, sited in a pleasant area of the city. The hotel is small and well run. Reception staff are very helpful and business like. The room was very clean and, whilst not over-spacious, was all that is needed for a busy 3-day break. Metro station is 3 mins walk. Many good value eating places are within easy reach, some offering a taste of regional cuisines. Variety of walks may be made through the latin quarter from this hotel, either toward Notre Dame, or further west toward Pont Neuf and then Musee D'Orsay, or make toward the Jardin du Luxemborg via the Sorbonne and the Pantheon, for a foray into the academic area and big open spaces. Being on a side street, our room was very quiet. On the sixth floor, from our freshly decorated room, we seldom heard a sound, despite high-quality refurbishment that is being undertaken very discreetly. Would definately go there again, and fully recommend. A minor point is that the breakfast menu is limited, yet adequate enough to keep you going well until midday. Also, don't expect spacious communal areas or lounges. In summary, a good choice on so many counts.

The Agora is well located close to Metro station and only 10 mins walk to Notre Dame and great restaurant areas. The rooms were good and bathroom newly renovated. I would stay there again.

We have just arrived back from paris a couple of days ago and we are so glad we stayed at the agora. It is a great hotel, it has everything that you need and the staff are great, really helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed paris itself and the hotel is ideally located for everything, its just a couple of minute walk to the nearest metro station and all the shops and eateries. All in all we would 100% reccommend the agora and when we return to paris we will definately be staying here

Review of 'AGORA ST GERMAIN'
08 January 2007
Just arrived back after our Wedding Anniversary stay at the Agora St Germain, Paris. Having previously visited Paris for the last 2 years in 4* plus hotels, we thought that we would try to downgrade slightly whilst still enjoying the benefits that Paris can offer. We were not disappointed by our choice of hotel at all. Yes the room was a lot smaller than previously enjoyed but it was very clean with an immaculate bathroom, complete with tv and mini bar. Though personally, I think we would have preferred tea and coffee making facilities instead. The breakfast was of limited choice but good enough for our requirements, with the staff more than willing and helpful especially when called upon to keep the coffee flowing ! The helpfulness of the staff was the same throughout, with somebody always available on reception for information/ taxis etc.
The location of the hotel couldn't have been better at just 400 yards from Notre Dame and bars/ restaurants on the doorstep from cheap and cheerful to skys the limit. To sum up our view of the hotel, you could say that we got exactly what we requested and were well satisfied. We would have no hesitation in recommending the Agora St Germain.
