Great Hotel
11 August 2008
Stayed at this hotel from the 8th to the 10th of August this year, just back! Found the hotel to be a great place, the only downside was our bathroom. The paint was peeling off the ceiling, and the shower was broken, so we had to hold the hose to be able to shower ourselves. The door handles were also broken on the bathroom door. Step out from the bathroom though....and its a wonderful hotel. The room was lovely, spotlessly clean, comfortable, and cleaned daily. The staff were great in the hotel, we even decided to eat there on our second night and the food was lovely. We drank in the bar where there was a great atmosphere. When heading into town, there are buses passing right in front of the hotel, and the bus can drop you off right on the other side of the road as well! I would certainly stay there again, its so handy for the city.

Good Stay
28 May 2008
The room was quiet, spacious, clean and tidy and was impressed that it was cleaned, bed made and towels changed every day. We stayed over the weekend which was an ok buffet breakfast, plenty to eat. On the Tuesday it was alot better as we could order and it was cooked fresh. Hotel well situated for attractions. Our friends stayed in another room but werent as fortunate and had alot of problems with their room. Staff were helpful when you could find them to ask! We would stay again if we could get it at a good price.

Shocking - dont stay here
07 April 2008
Stayed on 5th April - first room had paint hanging off the ceiling which was flaking all around the toilet. Generally room smelled and the room was really not clean. Requested a room change which we got quickly after being told we had been allocated to the worst room! Second room was marginally better, nice iron burn mark on the carpet, generally bits of fluff and dust (clear to see on the dark furniture). Overall staff not friendly and the breakfast was awful - they agreed to 'grill' the bacon as it was grey with white fat. Would not recommend this to anyone.

The hotel was really nice and was excellent value for money. The room was lovely and clean and the food was excellent. Buses run every 10 mins direct to Princess Street for £1.00 one way!! The staff were helpful and excellent and the breakfast was outstanding. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again! Great Price, Great Food, Great time had by all!

It's OK
20 March 2008
The Agenda is very conveniently place for the city and airport. Breakfast was a bit of a shambles. In my opinion, it would be a good stopover, but I wouldn't consider more than one night.

Agenda Hotel
28 January 2008
having decided to come upto Edinburgh for this weekend - managed to get a fantastic rate at this hotel which included breakfast.
This hotel is perfect for your needs, nicely decorated, with a great bar and right on main bus routes into town - which makes it the most convenient place to stay.
Truly enjoyable

Excellent hotel
03 December 2007
Having decided that we wanted to spend some time in Edinburgh we booked the hotel based on the fact that it looked very nice on the website. When we arrived on the Friday night we were very suprised to find a lovely hotel with extremely helpful pleasent staff. Our room was huge and nicely decorated (very simply although one of the sofa's was dammaged). The food was fabulous, our only problem was that as we were staying for 9 nights we ended up repeating some of the dishes but that was fine. The breakfast menu was superb with lots of choice. We would recommend the hotel and will certainly stay there again.

Agenda Hotel. Sept 2007
14 September 2007
Very easy to get too, located in a nice town 15mins by bus (No 26 )from the city centre depending what time of day but straight forward enough.
I was up graded from a single room to a double so that was a nice surprise on booking in. I enjoyed having a nice big room even as C Mellor pointed out room 119 and the airconditioner. Too tried too notice too much. Staff friendly and helpful. Food very good, breakfast had a good choice so you could vary your choices. I stayed three nights and certainly would recommend it and stay there again.

Had a fantastic time, Adgenda Hotel surprisingly lovely for the price that we paid for the weekend. Staff very friendly and polite, room was clean and very very spacious. Easy to access through the local bus service. Only thing was we had to leave the hotel at 9am to ensure we managed to get bus to Waverley to catch our train and we did not get our breakfast until just after 8.30 even though we were in restaurant at 8am. Will stay there again and recommend to all our friends.

Great stay at the AGENDA
19 March 2007
I stayed at the AGENDA for 3 nights in March 2007. On arrival I found the staff very pleasant and helpful. My room was a good size and was lovely and clean.
Breakfast was faultless. There was a buffet selection with fruit, cereal and pastries and juices, coffee and tea and the friendly staff would also make you any combination of choices from a cooked breakfast selection.
Really enjoyed my stay, great value for money, would definatley recomend.

Business trip - 3 days
11 March 2007
All staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and warm. Breakfast was great with lots of fresh fruit and big choice of continental menu options and a good variety of cooked options. The only negative thing was that I found the traffic very noisy - particularly from early morning. (But ear-plugs solved that problem!) Would definately stay there again and would recommend it to other travellers.

22 February 2007
Room was excellent with lots of space and even a full bathroom, not just a shower and toilet like most places! room was cleaned daily, tv and dvd player in the room shame i didnt know this as id have taken some films although the restaurant/bar downstairs kept me entertained most evenings. A great selection for breakfast and i also ate in the bar on some evenings and again was very good and very filling.
Staff were helpfull and friendly great hotel to stay at 5 minutes bus ride from the city centre/train station, 10 minutes from the airport and gyle shopping centre. will be stayin there again for sure.
