We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, and really enjoyed it. Although the decor was a it dated, the rooms were very clean, and maid service each day., beds were very comfortable, staff very friendly, excellent location, view of the Chrysler Buillding, and on 37th and 3rd, shops and eateries in every direction. Would definitely stay there again, best place to see amazing sights of New York

Review of 'AFFINIA SHELBURNE'

02 March 2006
We had a great stay at the Shelburne. Location is great, nearer to Grand Central than expected, ideal for subway to anywhere, but still a fairly quite neighbourhood.Staff at hotel pleasant & efficient. Our 1 bed suite was a bit dated but very clean, the kitchenette is a bonus, with fridge cooker & dishwasher. Bedroom was large with big comfy bed and it's own TV.Sofa bed also comfy. Hotel bar/resteraunt had good atmosphere & food but beer pricey ie bottle of bud $6.Two local Italians good, 1 up a block, 1 down a block on Lexington Ave, with a good diner 3 blocks down, ideal for kids.

'SHELBURNE MURRAY HILL' - A juicy bite of the Big Apple

31 March 2005
Wow! That has to be the first word of any review of this beautiful hotel. My first time in New York, I was looking for a piece of that famous NY feeling. The Shelburne Murray Hill gave exactly what we were looking for. It's classy, peaceful and stylish. The room was clean, well appointed, and the little kitchenette had more than we needed (coffee maker, full fridge, cooking facilities). But in New York it's not just about the room, right? It's about location, location, location! This hotel is walking distance to Grand Central Station, and the local streets are perfect TV show backdrops, leafy green trees and big yellow taxis. Check out Penelopes, a little breakfast spot just down the street, perfect! And did I mention the view from our bedroom window? The Chrysler Building, baby! It was an unforgettable stay. If you're thinking about it, just go!
