Our week long stay at the Adriana was really enjoyable and I would recommend it to couples both young and old and families looking for a relaxing break.
The hotel itself is well presented and we found the staff to be welcoming and informative. Food and drink were relatively expensive, so I would suggest booking bed and breakfast at the very least. The facilites were excellent, especially the large swimming pools amd the hotel bus service (infrequent but handy) to the nearby town of Albufeira. A taxi back from the town square was never more that 15E, even in the early hours.
The beach, situated below the hotel grounds, is excellent. Getting up and down the steps is quick, but would prove difficult if carrying large, bulky items!
I'd happily return to the Adriana, perhaps during the summer months, with a view to perhaps exploring more of the Algarve with the hotel as a well located and easily accessed 'base'.
