Good Value

01 August 2008
We have just returned from 10 nights at the hotel and found it to be good value for what we paid.on arrival at around midnight we were informed that a meal and drinks were waiting for us,which was a nice touch, our room was very spacious with 2 singles in 1 room a single in the other bedroom and a large bathroom,we had a room overlooking the pool,we found the food to be adequate, you will find something you fancy,we were the only brits in the hotel which was not a problem, every afternoon the spaniards went indoors and we had the pool to ourselves for around 3 hours ! you are 5 mins form the beach and shops and a 10 minute walk to the bus and train station so you are ideally situated.one tip is catch the train from the airport as it is only 1.55 euros each way and takes 30 mins.we would go back to this hotel if we visit the area again.

Water fun

27 May 2008
We stayed at the Acuarium for 10 nights and had a wonderful experience. It was very clean and the staff were really friendly and helpfull. We had maid service every day so we came home at the end of the day to a nice clean towels. The location is ideal as it is less than 5minutes away from the beach and all the restaurants and there is a supermarket around the corner. The pool and pool area was very comfortable and the prices of drinks in the pool side bar were reasonable. I would definately recomend the Acuarium for couples or families on a budget.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Acuarium. The hotel is five minutes from the beach, restuarants and bars. The main nightlife is about a 15 minute walk down the front. Plenty of shops near by and the water park is within walking distance. The pool at the hotel was good, with pool bar which serves drinks at reasonable prices! Reception were very helpful. I would definatly recommend the Acuarium.

Good, Clean and Well priced!

08 August 2005
Stayed at this hotel end of July 2005.  Took approx 25 mins in taxi from airport which cost €30.

Was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was very nice, good sized and comfortably bedrooms with clean and decent bathrooms. Food was buffet style, breakfast was continental and evening had a choice of meat dishes and pasta dishes. Large range of salads available.

Pool area was very nice ended up staying there most of the time.

Hotel in excellent location, with beach and shops etc within short walk.

Staff very friendly and helpful!

Would definitly consider staying there again if in fuenigirola!

The only down side to this hotel is that not all rooms have balconys so request one when booking!

This was our second visit and was a great improvement on previous year. The pool was much cleaner although the area is approx 12 sunbeds short of needs. We stayed in the new block and the rooms were very clean and tidy a/c good and cleaners friendly. Safes were provided for 3 Euros per day. TV and a/c need a handset which is avail at reception for a deposit. We were bed and bfast and were disappointed that the bfast had no hot food as had been on offer previously. Still selection good, fruit juice poor. The staff were all helpful and the cleaners very efficient. For the price you pay it is good value. Rooms on the front can be a bit noisey from the traffic. It is a good idea to hire a fridge and stock your own food/drink. Very handy for the town and beach for our teenage kids. Overall good value.

We arrived in Fuengirola and looked for our hotel by taxi from the airport, the driver could not understand the address that I had with my hotel confirmation so we ended up asking at least three members of public!
On arrival at the hotel we noticed that we were next door to the main police station and that there was no less than 50 people outside! Unsure of what was happening but this seemed to be a daily occurrence and was quite offputting! The hotel room was very basic but we expected that and the pool was very nice and clean. The breakfast was really enjoyable, continental breakfast and a large quantity of choice was ideal to keep my 18 month old and partner happy
On the second day of our holiday, (the first day the room was cleaned by the many cleaners), we discovered that £40 english money had been taken from a bag separate from our secretly hidden holiday stash of euros! We were fuming and not pleased so decided to tell the chap on reception.  He said that he didn't understand it, and well, that was it.  I asked if he had some sort of complaint procedure or complaint record and he said no. I was not impressed with his attitude and asked if he could advise the manager.  He relunctantly said he would.
I never heard from the manager for the remainder of the 8 days at the hotel, during the rest of the time the chap who I initially advised didnt bother to greet us like he did the other guests either.
This hotel also advertised a telephone and satellite tv.  Dont be fooled!! The "satellite tv is avaliable with a 20 euro deposit and you get 10 channels, only 2 in english, being EuroSport (not great for the females!) and BBC News.  Wow! when we asked at reception if we could use the telephone in the room to make calls (we had family and friends in the costa del sol at the time) We were told that unfortunately there was a problem with the external phone line and that we could only receive incoming calls through reception.
The hotel is close to the beach, that really is the only plus side of this hotel. We experienced terrible rascism from spainish people who made up the majority of the public in the Fuengirola area. We went to spain to embrace another culture but we just gor glared at as if we were rubbish. We are a mixed family and every second person glared at us as if my partner and daughter - in her buggy the majority of the time - had just got off the boat from Morrocco.

This hotel was very nice. We stayed on a half board basis and the food was lovely. I got ill one day and asked at the recption where the nearest doctor was, they said don't worry we shall phone one for you and he arrived in half an hour. The staff are all very helpful. The hotel is about 2 mins walk from the supermarket and about 15 mins away from the best nightlife. And with only 5 mins walk to the beach it was in a very good location. Also lots of shops nearby. The zoo and aquaparlk are also close. We had a great time and would definitely return to this hotel again!

We have just got back from a lovely sunny week at this hotel. The hotel was in a good location and was clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were ok, cleaned daily, but they are in need of some minor repairs (towel rails broken etc)
The breakfast was good.. breads ham cheese cereal toast etc...but dinner was not so good!! There were chips everyday and things like burgers/fish/basic pasta. But for the money we paid we were very happy.

Good value hotel. Excellent location only a few minutes from the beach and resort amenities.
Lots of choices at breakfast (continental style). Dinner not so good, often cold and limited choice of main meal. But for what we paid we were not complaining!
Rooms cleaned every day plus fresh towels in our rooms each day. Only downside to our holiday was that some things went missing from our room on the last day of our hol (cigs and tobacco). No sign of a break in!!

We stayed last September for 5 nights on a B+B basis and it was ideal. The breakfast was more than adequate and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. There was also a safe in the room which was handy. The ONLY downside was the early morning noise from the scooters. Apart from that, it was excellent and I would be back like a rocket.

My golf partners and I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights.  We found the rooms to be basic but clean.  However, if a cheap standard stay is all you want then this hotel is ideal.  We would use it again.

This was generally a good hotel and value for money.  The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.  The rooms were basically furnised but comfortable and clean.  Rooms that overlooked the pool were quieter than over the road and so when we asked to move, the staff were very accommodating and moved us as soon as a room was free.  The food was very basic and not to our liking, but again value for money.  The location was ideal for the centre and near the sea.  I would return to this hotel for a short week break.
