Review of 'ACCADEMIA'

Excellent location by Trevi Fountain
Clean, tidy rooms - if a little small.
Comfortable lounge with TV/DVD etc (should you need it) available for guests in the 'Superior Wing' to which we were unexpectedly upgraded.
Breakfast buffet well stocked and fresh.
No lounge/bar or restaurant - but there is an overwhelming choice within 200m!
Currently starting a refurbishment program (25th Sept 2006) with scaffolding being errected - may become noisy with access difficulties.
Helpful staff.

Very nice hotel. Extremely clean, staff helpful and polite.  Position of hotel was very central right around the corner from the 'trevia fountain'. We found the breakfast adequate, the same every morning but it was well laid out and fresh. Coffee was good. We had a wheelchair user in our party and although the hotel states it is wheelchair accessible we did encounter one step which we could not avoid, however, with a manual wheelchair was manageable. But please note this would not be the case with an electric chair. Have been to Rome in the past and stayed at other hotels, which I would not return to,  however, if we were to return again to Rome I would definately stay here again.

Wonderful, we had a standard triple - very comfortable, spacious, air conditioned plus bath and shower. staff very pleasant and helpfull. Cafe/Bar in the evening was lovely again the staff were great. Breakfast very continental and good quality....loved the frozen yoghurt!!
Can't fault the hotel for the price - especially as the location was a dream!
Will return and stay there again without a doubt.

3 day trip to Rome

17 October 2005
We booked a 3 night stay at this hotel in Oct 2005 the location was excellent, close to the Trevvi Fountain and ideal to walk to the other attractions. The hotel itself was very basic, rooms exceptionally small and a little depressing, breakfast was very limited choice, hotel staff were very friendly and overall the hotel was clean. I do not feel we got value for money the hotel was very overpriced for the facilities we received.

this hotel definitely sells itself on location, with the trevi fountain right on its doorstep.

the receptionists were very helpful and polite, and couldn't do enough for you, but i'm afraid that is the only positive comment to make.............this is a 2* hotel, which prides itself on location and being "cheap and cheerful".

Good hotel to stay at because of its central location.  All major sites are within walking distance.  The hotel is comfortable and clean with the rooms being average in size.  The breakfast is adequate and staff were very helpful.
