Sheffield local Jason Fry started the company 13 years ago with just a phone, and
a vision. He remains our Executive Chairman (albeit with an upgraded phone nowadays).
We currently have over 100 employees and continue to grow within the competitive
travel industry. Our turnover last year was in excess of £110 million.
What we do
Our holiday site offers customers the choice of over 200,000 hotels and apartments
worldwide, flights, holidays and a whole host of holiday extras. To give alpharooms.com
customers’ peace of mind we have a UK- based call centre which is open 7 days a
week and we financially protect the holidays we sell through ATOL and ABTA. Our
international sister site vacenza.com has recently launched and is already making
steady in-roads into demanding global markets.

We strive to combine value for money prices for our customers with industry leading
levels of customer service. In recognition of this we are proud to have been nominated
for 'Best Online Hotel Booking Company' for 3 consecutive years and ‘Best Flight
Booking Company’ for 2 consecutive years, at The British Travel Awards.
Location
You’ll find our headquarters on Sheffield’s cosmopolitan and trendy Ecclesall Road
with its wide range of boutique shops, supermarkets, restaurants, sandwich outlets,
pubs and bars. It’s minutes from the city centre and the Botanical Gardens are only
a short stroll away too (perfect for lunch-time park picnicking). There are good
bus links throughout Sheffield and the train station can be easily reached too.
We also have satellite offices for our hotel contractors to help keep their ears
to the ground for local knowledge and the best possible hotel rates.
