Renovated in 2004, 70 Park Avenue Hotel is an attractive and comfortable, luxury city hotel comprising a total of 205 rooms. The hotel enjoys a fabulous location on Park Avenue in the centre of New York and in the immediate vicinity there is a diverse range of shopping facilities, numerous restaurants, cafes and bars aplenty and extensive entertainment venues. The building is air-conditioned and welcomes guests in a lobby with the convenience of a 24-hour reception desk, cloakroom, and lift access. The modern and comfortable rooms all come with an en suite bathroom with shower, bathtub, and hairdryer and a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, and an Internet connection are also included. An iron and ironing board, a double or queen-size bed, and a hire safe are also provided in all accommodation units as standard. The hotel bar is available for guests to take advantage of, as is the famous Silverleaf restaurant, run by the chef Kevin Reilly, which also serves complimentary wine in the evenings. Room and laundry services are also available for guests, although charges apply.

This is a really good hotel in a great location for 5th Avenue, RF Centre, Grand Central, Central Park etc. Rooms are small but comfortable, clean and pleasant. My issue was that there were four of us staying, a couple and two women. We had booked (some time in advance) a double and a twin room but when we arrived they said they had no twin rooms left. They said that they would see what they could do. Their response was to privide a fold down childs bed which was totally inadequate - especially at the price we paid - although we waited on day 2 of our 3 night stay for them to sort things out they did nothing further to resolve this situation. We were disappointed that they didn't really try to at least offer some kind of compensation.
So good hotel if nothing goes wrong but don't expect them to respond if they get it wrong.
